This morning while getting ready for work, I saw the commercial for that dumb hot tub time travel movie. So, that inspired me with today's journal.
You wake up tomorrow morning and you're in the year 1968. The Vietnam War is going on; civil rights marches are happening every day almost; there are riots in the streets of big cities; it's hippie love and flower power on the West Coast. Creatively, imagine yourself in one of those situations. What are you doing? What's going on around you? Write a little story for me today :-)

ReplyDeleteSO i would totally be rocking the whole hippy look. I'd have bell bottom pants and radical platform shoes. During the evenings i would wear a cute multi-colored dress and go party it up at the disco joints! THe world is crazy around me and it feels like a party is going on 24/7. It is a pretty sweet life!
I'd be living the west coast. Where my heart always belongs I would be living on the beach. Using mother earth to help me live, I use resources limtedly and waste nothing. I'd probably be madly in love with another cool hippie. I wouldn't worry about the war, i would just find peace in life and live it to the fullest.

I would probably be a cool hippie girl. I would wear awesome clothes and a flower in my hair. The only thing I wouldn't do is smoke any weird things like drugs. EEW.
I would not like to be in any war-ish riots. I would not like to be mad and yelling all the time. I would be a chill hippie who is happy all day.
I would probably live on the beach, like Lydia. That sounds cool. Did hippies surf? Because if they did, I would be a chillaxin' hippie surfer chick. Haha, yeah. DUDE. :) hehe...
Haha...when I think of "hippie love and flower power", That 70's Show is the first thing that pops into my head. The situtaion that I would be in would look a lot like the plot from That 70's Show. I would hang out and do senseless things like dropping a bowling ball on the couch and seeing how high it would bounce. I would also be part of our own "circle" and have a foreign friend that is exactly like Fez. We wouldn't have a care in the world except for having fun with friends. Woodstock baby!!

I cannot believe that I am here in this stupid war! Now I am shot. I could barely remen=mber what I had done in the earlier part of the day. I could remembar that I smoke a carton of cigarretes for breakfast and sang some political songs.
