The weather is going to be warm again this week, which puts me in a summer state of mind. What are your plans for this summer? Any fun vacations or will it be all work? Anything that you're going to do to prepare yourself for college? Discuss!
P.S. My plans: A week in Madison in June - going to see a play at American Players Theater; a week in Lake Tahoe - going to see Shakespeare at the lake; and several long golf weekends up north. This is in addition to my goal to read at least five books a week all summer. I cannot wait! :-)

Well one things for sure, I won't be reading five books a week Mrs. Myers. You're crazy! Haha
ReplyDeleteFor the most part I plan on working at Kyle's Market and at the Dietsche family farm most of the summer. We haven't planned any vacations yet. Other than working and saving for college, I hope to just have fun hanging out with my friends and enjoying life =)
I'm so excited for summer! This is the first summer that I don't have a job in 5 years! I feel like it's ok though because I am a saver. I still have quite a bit of money left over from previous summers. I will be watching Joey Verdon during the summer whenever they need me and I will still be teaching piano so that will bring in a little bit of money. My Aunt Jo is getting married this summer and I'm in charge of the desserts! She lives on a lake so we are all going to be up there for around a week hanging out and having fun! We are going to have canoe races!!! Other than that I plan on hanging out with Sierra, Erinn, and Ellie a lot :D Also, I am so excited for gardening this summer! I'm going to be starting my sunflower house soon, and I plan on planting lots of vegtables! Yay for summer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will be in Chetek all summer. During the week I will be working at Luther Park Bible Camp with my sister. We will sing and dance with little kids all day...it think it is going to be super fun and I am excited. Then on the weekends, we (Nichelle and I) will visit Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa at the campground, so I am afraid I won't be home much, so I wont' be around to hang out all the time, which makes me kind of sad because I am going to miss you all.

My summer is going to consist of working and spending as much time with friends as possible. I'm not looking forward to not seeing many of my friends very often when college starts, so I'm going to make the best of this summer. Also, I will be "making bank" at my two jobs. One place where I'll be working a ton will be at Premium Waters in Chippewa Falls. I will be working different assembly lines packaging water. It will be quite repetative and it is going to get ungodly hot in there (120 degrees or hotter) but ten dollars an hour will be worth it and it really isnt that hard. I could make three to five hundred dollars a week so itll be worth it. My other job is one in which I definatley am looking forward to. I will be helping my grandparents keep up their show gardens. That is always really fun. I have done it every summer since sixth grade. This year, there is going to be multiple giant tours coming to view the place on weekends, which should be fun.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I am going to be working. I might get a job or I might just keep babysitting. I have a full time job with that, so it brings in some pretty good money. I also plan to spend a lot of time with my friends. I feel like summer is going to be the last time that we will all be together. It makes me sad that we are all going to go our separate ways. I'm also going to try to spend a lot of time with my younger sister Samantha. She is the youngest of my sisters and will be the only one of us kids left at home.
ReplyDeleteWeeeellll I am very excited for summer! I plan to be working - I just turned in an application for a yard maitenence (yes, mowing lawn...) job at my dad's work and hopefully I get it! Other than that I will be chillin with my homies all summer. I can't wait to just hang out and spend time with each other while we can and make the most of our summer together. *TEAR!*
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll be doing some training for college track & cross country, and I'll be spending time with my family, especially Brittany and Trevor, and we'll be going on vacation for a week in July.
I'll also be going on a mission trip to Milwaukee for youth group.
And I am most definately NOT reading five books a week, just to let everyone know. :)
Five books a week! Mrs. Myers has gonw crazy everyone. I'm just joking around with you Mrs. Myers, that's a good goal (and unique).
ReplyDeleteWorking will be the biggest part of the summer, making the most of my free time count with family and hopefully making great memories with friends.
I think I'm going to try taking up jazz dancing lessons and learning guerilla warfore tactics. Both of those ideas sound like they could offer some good lessons about life;P...and it would be very fun
Oh yes...this will be Luke's Summer of 100 Weggies. I'm going to warn you now Luke, you might want to start ripping your undies before you come to school.
I am going to be working at Anderson Windows or Menards for the summer. They both pay good and it will definitely help me out. I am going to Rockfest this year again, as well as UFO Days in Elmwood. But with working a 40 hour/week, it is going to be hard to have time for fun. But I plan to be hanging out with friends before they go off to college. I am moving into Kody's in a couple of weeks, so I will be unpacking my things and getting used to country life. :)
ReplyDeleteThis summer I plan on working as much as possible. It would be nice to have some money before classes start next fall. I also plan on doing a lot of camping and fishing. I do not know about anyone else, but I extremely love campfires. There is something about roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire that really excites me. Hopefully I can spent some valuable time with my friends before the school year starts.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I plan on spending time with my friends as much as possible. I figure I have the rest of my life to work, so I want to spend my last "real" summer with the people that I have grown up with. I am also roadtripping to L.A. with Samee Brown. I will be going to New York for my 18th birthday! Then in August I will have a week in a cabin with my family. It should be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI have orietation in June already for UWEC. That should be very fun. I will set up all of my classes for next year. I am very much excited for what college is going to offer me! I can't wait to see how all of my friends do in college!
This is a very exciting time, so I don't think I will be able to read five book a week :(. Oh well! :D

I AM SO EXCITED FOR SUMMER!!!!! =)
ReplyDeleteMy summer plans are to work and save up money for college. I got a job with one of my mom's friends mowing lawns for homes that are repossesed or uninhabited. I'm excited for it because I like to be outside in the summer and the lady I will be working with is super fun. She lives on a horse farm, and I love horses, so she said that we can go riding a lot too.
Also, my parents, sister, Kevin (Katie's boyfriend) and I will be going on a driving vacation around the Great Lakes. I'm excited for it because we get to go to Canada, see Niagra Falls, and stop at a lot of places along the way that I have always wanted to see.
Besides my vacation and work, my friends and I have plans to do a lot of AMAZING things this summer. We want to go to Valley Fair, go camping in Glenwood, go up to my cabin and go out on my boat, go shopping in the Dells, going to the zoo, going tubing, and having sleepovers and bonfires!!! I'm excited to hang out, relax, and get my tan on! :)
I am very excited for summer. My family has planned a family vacation to go visit my Uncle in Utah for a week so I am very excited about that. I love everything about summertime. Im excited to hangout with all of my friends before I leave for college in the Fall. I am going to be playing a ton of basketball so I am also very excited about that. Cant wait for summer!
