What are some of your pet peeves? (Things that drive you absolutely crazy.) I have several, but I think that my biggest pet peeve is when people can't take responsibility for their actions. I just want to say, "You made a mistake, 'fess up, and take the consequences." It really irks me when someone blames another for what was obviously his/her mistake. My "favorite" was the student who blamed ME because HE got caught plagiarizing. He actually said to me, "Well, you shouldn't have been looking for it." !! So, you get the idea -- vent about your pet peeves today.

I don't like it when people (especially my brothers) don't clean up after themselves. It would only take a couple more steps to finish the job all the way, but they must think that is too much, so they just leave a trail. I used to have to have everything really neat as well, but I honestly don't have time to care about that one anymore.
ReplyDeleteOne of my BIGGEST pet peeves in when people use the word "like" several times in one sentence. AHHH! Another one is when people text you first , you text back, and then they don't text back! I hate it when people hand back your change at a store on top of the dollar bills. I cannot stand the sound of other people brushing their teeth infront of me. (maybe that's not really a pet peeve) haha. ummmm.. I hate when people smack their lips when eating or chewing gum. Another big one is when someone is two-faced. Not EVERYONE has to like you, just say straight up what you think and don't say it differently to the other person. I cannot stand it when people don't use their blinkers. I hate driving behind people that do exactly the speed limit. I hate when people spell the word a lot wrong. I could keep going...i have so many, but I think I will stop here.
ReplyDeleteI actually have many pet peeves. I think one of my biggest ones is being late to things. I hate being late! It drives me nuts. Sometimes I am okay with it, but the walk of shame when you come in late is killer. Another pet peeve I have is when people blow their nose in class. I mean seriously, its soo gross and the sound makes me want to vomit! Yuckk. I also hate when people are in my business. I find it quite rude. If I want you to know something about me I would just tell you. I hate when I am doing something, not bother anyone, just having a good time and someone has to have a problem with it. Can you not just leave people alone and get on with your life? Many things can annoy me easily.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest pet peeve is people talking about pointless things, or people talking when it isn't necessary. I don't understand why anyone would ever speak unless they had something purposeful to say. I actually don't really like idiocy in general. I don't like when people clip their horses in the winter. I don't like the term "pet peeve" in the first place. Actually I'm not going to dance around it, I pretty much dislike everything.
ReplyDeleteI have several pet peeves, but I will just say the big ones. When people step on the backs of my shoes!! I think its so rude. If I am going so slow then go around me and if you need to be so close to me, just tell me and we can walk side by side! You have shoes, walk on them! When people smack their gum, I just want to rip it out of their mouth. Not only is smacking your gum annoying, but you look stupid doing it. I get really bad road rage, but it really makes me mad when people are on the highway and don't set their cruise. When I'm trying to merge onto the highway and some one doesn't move over for me, when they can, I get so upset. People can be so rude! Last but not least, I hate it when you do something nice for some one and they don't say thank you! Is it so hard to be nice?! How rude!! oh one more, when people lie or start rumors. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Is your life so boring and lame that you need to try and make some one else upset to make you feel better?!
ReplyDeleteSome of my pet peeves are when people do not clean up after themselves when you are at someone else's house. Smacking their gum. Chewing with their mouth open or talking with food in their mouth. And of course a really big one is when people start rumors about something they know is flase information to start with! Just because your life is not the same as someone else's or you are mad at them does not mean that you need to start something that could hurt the person and their reputation. The biggest one of all is when people come and complain to you about something someone else did to them (usually thier best friend) and then not too long after they go and do exactly what they said they aboslutely could not stand about that other person!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of pet peeves. Emily is my number one pet peeve :) I cannot stand people that act stupid. There is no way some people are as dumb as they seem. People who cant drive also drive me crazy, go the speed limit or get off the road! I dont like it when people are mean to others when that person cant stick up for themselves, and I absolutely HATE bullies!! I hate it when people talk really loud so the person their talking about can hear them. When people only talk about themselves even when they arent even part of the conversation. I hate it when people do stuff to another person and then they get mad cuz they got in trouble. Fake people drive me crazy! I hate it when people call someone their friend and then go and talk about them behind their backs, yeah your a real friend. As you can see, I have a lot of pet peeves.
ReplyDeleteohhh my goodness I have many pet peeves. Well Brittany for one thing :) And stuipid people irritate me. And drivers who leave their brights on. People who need a hair cut. Themed sweater vests....man those irritate me. People who dont finish their sentences are very irritating and they are....oh i really hate socks with sandals. When store people dont say youre welcome when you say thank you. People who smoke in public places drive me crazy. People who get mad about little stuff drive me crazy. I am a pretty laid back person and people just need to calm down.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest pet peeve is when people say whatever to things and pretend they don't care about anything. It really gets to me. I cannot stand when people are also mean to each other. I just do not understand it.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest pet peeve is Colin. I hate him. Then next comes the sound that microwaves make. I always stop it at 0:01. The volume on my stereo has to be at an interval of 5. I can't stand skin on skin contact. I can't stand when people call me Jessie. I hate when people touch my face. I hate when people say "pop".. it's soda. I hate when I am at school and I can't swear. I hate when my interenet connection gets lost. I hate when I forget my phone at home or it dies. I hate putting it on my sandwhich, but I always dip it in ketchup. I hate chapped lips. I hate the dark. I hate the sound of someone scratching their skin. I hate when people have realy long fingernails, it's gross. I hate unneeded obnoxiousness. I hate Colfax. I hate small towns. I hate when people laugh at things are not funny. I hate driving in the rain or snow. I hate when people act like they're better than others. I hate when people pull out in front of you when driving and then drive slow. I hate when guys act egotistical. I hate when people basically live.

I hate it when people are sick and they sneeze or cough all over or in their hands. It's called the inside of your elbow! I do not want your germs. I also hate it when kids are rude to younger kids or adults, in other words, I hate it when people do not have respect. I also do not like it when people are hypocritical. I do not really have too many pet peeves. Most of them are respect issues.
ReplyDeleteWell, Mrs. M, I think you got this blog question from my ranting on Monday free write! :) Like I said on Monday, I hate cheaters. People that cheat on tests, life, in relationships, ect. I just don't get it! Why use other people to make you happy, whether it be in a relationship or passing a class! I also hate rudeness, like in the grocery store when people bump into you and don't say sorry UGH! I also hate it when people say "I hate that" when you just said you liked it! Yes i understand that we all have our own opinions, but really?!
ReplyDeleteWell, I really feel like a bad guy. Most of my pet peeves are about things that I do. I really irritate myself, when I am not ahead, over even worse, behind. I kick myself when I am talking too someone and I pause for a moment. I am sure I irritate Matt, when I begin to speak in a foreign accent and then speak in that language after realizing my mistake.A very big pet peeve of mine is my brother. I really hate it when he is pouting, right next to the computer when I am doing homework, just like he is now while I am typing this. He also does not believe me that this is an actual assignment.
ReplyDeleteI try not to have a lot of pet peeves. It's better not to let the stupidity of others bother you because,in general, the limit of that stupditiy approaches infinity as your tolerance (x) approaches 0(yay for calc metaphors). I guess I do not like scraping frost off from my car windows in the morning, but I could always just turn the defroster on a few minutes before I leave. Also- this post and last were late because I was away for the last 2 days. I had forgotten about the first one and decided to do it when I did this one, which was today (the morning after I got home).
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few pet peeves but they aren't all flowing to my brain at the moment except for bing late. I hate being late! My parents are always late for everything and it drives me nuts! Or when you send a long text and you get back a couple word response! Is it really that hard to keep a conversation going through texting?..There's more but that's all I got for now.
