I'm running dry on ideas here, people!
Today you need to write about a challenge that you've faced and overcame at school this past year. (Don't get too personal or heavy on me.) It could be something as simple as keeping your locker clean all year or as complex as learning calculus. What lessons did you learn along the way?

Well Mrs. Myers, you gave me my challenge. At the start of the year I was not a very good writer at all. But now I feel like I am doing much better. Having you say that my Thank You Letter was perfect was a huge accomplishment for me!
ReplyDeleteWell, the biggest challenge I have had all year is getting out of bed and coming to school for the past week...I am getting pretty exhausted and I still have so much more stuff to do. I cannot wait until I graduate, I will probrably sleep for about two days straight!
ReplyDeletewell to start off will, I dont know why mr.grambo doesnt think I am here in the mornings, Im across his room in the library first, second, fifth, and seventh hour. LOL
ReplyDeleteOkay so anyway...the topic for today... but mrs. M Im sorry this might get a little "personal or heavy". . . so my biggest challenge that I over came this year was from you and the class. Everyone telling me to go up in front of class. Ever since 8th grade, I have never wanted to go up in front of the class. I was scared, what might happen, will I freeze? will I say something that I didnt mean to say? will people start laughing at me? will I do something wrong and the teacher will say it right in front of the class so I look like a complete idiot? .... and this year, you pushed and pushed, and I did it. If it would have been any other teacher, I probably wouldnt have done it. And then in college I wouldnt, and Id probably fail. And, even though I got really nervious, and studdered and what ever, I did it. and I have you to thank for that :D... OH and ... reading books. Obviously you know how much I hate reading, but truth is, now I dont think its that bad. I have you to thank for that too. Ive had a lot of challenges this year, but you've helped with a lot of them mrs. myers. thank you for helping me, even on the days I didnt deserve it. Sometimes we just need a little push. :D so thanks for pushing me. you bully. :D Just kidding. Im just really happy today for some reason so I had to say it. LOL. :D
My biggest challenge was completing college apps. Not that I didn't have enough writing between Social Problems and College Prep English already...I was writing nonstop about super personal soul searchy stuff for a few months straight, always knowing that these essays were going to be judged--that I was going to be judged--and that the outcome would affect the rest of my life. I'm glad it's over.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest challenges was time management. I have so many things going on this year that I felt as if I wasn't going to get it all done in time. It seemed to happen a lot. Between going to CVTC each morning, coming to school, going to work, and getting all my homework done on time. Right now is where I am having the most diffcult time however. There is so much to do and so little time.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest accomplishment/challenge this year has been completing two college classes along with my high school classes. I got my CNA certification which was also a big accomplishment/challenge. I learned that all my hardwork really started to pay off.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest challenge this year has been taking two colleges classes along with my high school classes. I got my CNA certification which was a time consuming task with all the things going on in my life. I have really started to learn how to use my time visely and efficiently. I have also learned that hard work always pays off in the end.
ReplyDeleteWhen I signed up for classes, I wanted to challange myself so I took four advanced classes. My mom was really nervous about this because she would not be able to help me on my homework. She wanted me to do good in school. First quarter I was really nervous about report cards but to my surprise I got an A in all of my classes. I was really excited! I got all A's every quarter so I overcame my challange. I am really proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteSpending my time wisely has been a struggle this year. And I simply have learned just to get it doen and over with as soon as possible! Otherwise unexpected things will happen and the next thing ya know, the deadline is here. It has been very very stressful to finish all this homework that clusters my mind.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge I overcame this school year was enduring my information processing class. The class is extremely tedious and monotonous, and nearly everything that we've learned has been information that I've already known. We repeat the same skills over and over, and we've literally only learned about three different things all year. It's an understimulating class, but I didn't drop it.
ReplyDeleteI think that one of my biggest accomplishments was completing three years of German online. It was a great reward, but there were some obstacles to overcome. I think this year was one of the most challenging for me, because it felt like I was either rushing all at full speed to get the work done, or I was at a complete stop. It has made me a little more diversified, which will help me one way or another in the future.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest challenge this year has been doing things for myself and not worrying about others. I have had to turn down so many fun things this year so I can get my work done and accomplish the things that need to be done. I have also stuck up for my self and others, which I usually do, but this year it was more peer pressure. I do not really care though. This year was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI think my biggest challenge to overcome this year, was not having 'senior-itus' to bad and not doing my school work. There were some days that I did not want to do my homework, but my mom always pushed me to get it all done and trying my hardest.
