I you could un-invent any piece of technology, what would you choose to lose? Why would you get rid of this piece of technology? Would the world be better or worse, do you think, without this technology? Discuss!

  1. If I could un-invent any technology, I would un-invent it all. I do not like any of it and I think that life was much more simple without it. The only thing that I would keep is a blender and an ice auger because those are nice. I just really love smoothies.

  2. If I could uninvent a piece of technology I would uninvent those fans that are a circle and have no blades or anything. They freak me out and regular fans were fine, why did they have to change it?

  3. If I could get rid of any technology, I think it would have to be television. TV is just a waste of time and it is useless. If you need entertainment when you get home from work, play with your cat or play Sudoku with your children. There are plenty of other fun things to do instead of watch tv.

  4. If i could un-invent any piece of technology, i would definately get rid of Xbox and all these games which include too much of "violence". From my point of view that kind of technology led to degradation of teenagers and makes their brain shrink. Besides it cause a terrible addiction and makes people much more agressive. That kind of intertainment is too dangerous for future generation. So please do not be obsessed with that kind of "intertainment"!!!

  5. Oh my gosh, I would probably get rid of almost everything. I mean, I know that for some people it does a lot of good, but I think it does more good than bad. If we just got rid of everything, our enviornment would be in a lot better shape. I also think people would be a lot less stressed. I beleive that technology is just ruining the world, except for obviously technology for food.

  6. I would un-invent it all! Really I think it stresses us out to much like oh this person tweeted 5 minutes ago and haven't texted me back yet. People don't really discuss things anymore they just put it all out on the internet, I will admit I do this a lot. Without technology I think that we would communicate better in person since that would be the only thing that we knew how to do. also we would appreicate the time that we got to spend with people since that was the way that we would communicate not over the phone or computer.

  7. I would probably un invent edmodo. I would totally rather print my papers off and give them to my teacher so I know they got them. I understand that this is what you use in college, or something like it anyway, but I am just not comfortable with making this change, I guess. I am trying to adapt, so don't worry Mrs. Myers:)

  8. I would un-invent video games. People spend way to much time playing video games. I have seen people get fired since they stayed up to late. Also grades can fall if you spend to much time playing.

  9. I would uninvent bathroom technology. Specifically, the motion-sense technology. It's a solution to something that was never a problem! Whoever thought of these things?! "You know how people get a paper towel when they need it?"
"Yeah, if they need one they just take it..."
"We're going to change that! We're going to make it really complicated with lazers and stuff!"
    "Why?"
"Because we can! Oh and you know how people can wash their hands?"
"Yeah, they just turn the handle and water comes out!"
    "Switching that up too!"
"Well, at least people can still change water temperature right?"
    "Welllllllll...No..."
"Please tell me that's all that's going to change!"
    "Welllllll one more..."
    "What's that?"
"You know when people are on the toilet and move like a quarter of an inch..."

  10. One thing I would uninvent would be the TV. Everyone wastes their time watching it all day. I think it slows down the brain process. I watch TV a lot too, but I would get so much more done without any type of technology, but I love it so much. It is a love/hate relationship.

  11. I would univent the computer that almost took away my one page of work this morning! But if I was to really take something away it would probably be video games because they are honestly pointless to me. I feel like they don't help anyone learn anything in life and they just waste people's time. Video games are also a big reason of why so many students never get homework done.

  12. I would un invent the cellphone. You could just use a normal phone and the cellphone is just not that important to me. To me the cell phone is not that important it just meens you dont talk to people in person as much and you just talk fast.

  13. I don't think that I would un-invent anything. The technology is good for all of the people. I think that we should just be inventing more things too help the world grow and too move forward in evolution. We dont want to be behind China and we want to lead in all the advancements.

  14. I would un- invent nothing. Being able to invent things and make innovations is part of what makes our country and species great. As humans, we are never fully satisfied with what we have. This leads to horrific greed and brings out the worst in us. However, it brings out the best in us as we compete to make things as good as possible. We strive to create and innovate because that is who we are and what we do.

  16. I would un-invent the blimp. There is no point to its existence. It cant be used commercially, it is not used for transportation, and they are not economical. The only thing I have ever seen a blimp used for in as advertising in super bowl commercials.

  17. I would un invent video games. I think that they are making kids stupid, especially the really violent ones. Kids shouldnt be exposed to that kind of stimulation all the time, it is not good for their development. There are many other things that people can to in their spare time.

  18. I want to un invent the wheel. I mean who does the wheel think he is, rolling around likes he's the boss. I say enough is enough and the evil rein of the wheel is over and we replace then with squares. Square tires a car would be way cooler anyway and more efficient. So whose with me?

  19. I would un-invent internet and cell phones. I think that people are becoming to reliant on that and can't have a face to face conversation with someone. I think people are to dependant on texting and can't actually call someone. Like if people are going for a job interview and they do a call up, I feel like people now sound awkward.

  20. I would probably un-invent nothing. I think that there isnt really anything wrong with what we have right now. However, I do think that technology has changed how people act and react to things, and I think that it is their fault that they overuse technology. There is absolutely no reason why people should be playing video games and sitting on their phones and computer 24/7. Its the person's fault if they are obsessed and don't have any face to face interaction with people.

  21. if I could un-invent any technology it would be flameless candles. I mean it just looks so fake people, they dont even smell pretty. What happened to the real thing? These things are so advanced now you can even set them on timers to come on at a certian time every night.Dosent sound like a candle to me.
