Winter Carnival

Once again, it's a last for the seniors. This is your last winter carnival week. What are you most looking forward to this week? How do you feel about your last winter carnival?

On a different note, how do you feel about your philosophy project? Do you feel confident that you'll be able to complete the project in a week? What are your concerns?

  1. I enjoy the dress up days, the games, and the pep assembly. Because this is our last "Winter Carnival" I'm gonna try making the most of it =)

I think the Philosophy project will be a good change compared to typical papers. Having a partner, "teaching" a class, and writing a biography will be fun. The only concern I have is time. Though a week should be plenty of time, I hope Winter Carnival doesn't disrupt my homework too much ;)

  2. The best part of Winter Carnival is definetly Mr. and Mrs. Colfax. It is always fun...even if it is not that funny everyone laughs and has a great time.

I don't mind the projects, however, the idea of philosophy is quite confusing to me and my only concern is missing out in the discussion. On the other hand, I think Kayla, Hadra, and I are
    doing pretty good. :)

  3. I am very excited for our last winter carnival! It makes me sad that we won't have another one, and that is why I am going to try to make this one the best one yet! :)

And I also think the new project we got will be very interesting. Having a partner makes it much more easy and fun. I am very excited to learn about the different kinds of philosophy!

  4. I am very excited that it is winter carnival. I am even more excited because I get to run some of the activities going on in thursday. I am sort of sad that this is my last winter carnival.

Um, I am still unsure about this project. I am not really into this whole philosophy unit. It is really hard to get into this project when I am uninterested in the subject. Yeah, I agree with Danielle that I am concerned about missing out on discussion. That is a big part to this unit. Again, I think that us three are doing pretty good.

  6. I am pretty chill about this week and the activites. I have been very busy lately and I don't know I'm not as into everything as i usually am. But I am very excited for Emma and Noah to be Mr. and Mrs. Colfax!

I am interested in seeing how this project turns out it will be very thrilling i believe!

  7. I'm excited for winter carnival week. I always enjoy seeing everyone dress up and I love watching Mr. and Mrs. Colfax. This week seems crazy busy so I hope everyone stays peppy and doesn't get too stressed out!
I'm excited for the philosophy project because I think it will be very interesting. I'm glad we get to do some partner work because we usually don't get the opportunity to do so!

  8. I love winter carnival. It is a lot of fun to dress up and I like to watch the Mr. and Mrs. Colfax competition. It is always really funny. I'm not sad that it is our our last Winter Carnival, but I think that I will miss it.

About the philosophy project. I think that it is going to be tough to finish this week, especially since we only have 3 work days this week. If it was a full week, it would be much easier.

  9. I'm honestly not looking forward to the winter carnival. I guess the eating contests are kind of fun to watch. Other than that, I really don't like winter carnival. The thing I'm looking forward to this week is two basketball games. That's it.

  10. I am super exited for winter carnival week! I want to have lots of fun and make lots of memories this week. I wish that the dress up days were more fun, though. :( Oh well I guess.
As far as the philosophy project goes.... I'm pretty sure Nathan and I will be able to get our project done on time. Hopefully it won't be that big of a deal.

  11. The best part of Winter Carnival week is the Mr. and Mrs. Colfax competition. It is sad to think that there are no more fun days for the seniors because there are no more Homecomings or Winter Carnivals.
And about this project for philosophy, I think that it will be hard to complete all of it just this week. I think that it will be hard for us to do our presentation and then we have a paper to write about a philosopher. I hope we get some of next week to work on our project.

  12. This winter carnival I am most looking forward to having fun and seeing all the neat outfits we get to wear for our dressup days. Games are always a blast to watch. The basketball game on Thursday night is always fun and intense because more kids from high school go for the dance afterwards.

The philosophy project is looking good so far. It's a new and interesting topic to research. As far as having only one week to complete it there should be no problem with proper ime management.

  13. You will get Monday and Tuesday of next week to work on your projects - so five days total. I'm trying to push you some so that you learn to prioritize and budget your time :-) Also, for those of you who are confused, please come talk to me. I'll help as much as I can.

  14. I'm looking forward to Thursday afternoon the most! I love watching and playing all of the games. Also, I'm excited (and nervous!) for the Mr. and Mrs. Colfax competition!!! I usually really like the dress up days, but they're not that exciting this year.
I think the project is nice. It's fun to work with a partner because then you don't have to worry about doing it all yourself. Also, it's nice that we have so much class time to work on it.

Mrs. Myers -- I was wondering what you put in a bibliography if you're citing a book MLA format and their is no city of publication but it says Printed in the United States of America.

  15. I am looking forward to this weekend the most because that means that we do not have to go to school. On the other hand, this week will also be fun.

I got a good start on my biography toaday, but for some reason it did not save. Yes, I love it when that happens! I should be able to complete the project this week.
