I am lost. I am lost in a dark place. I am lost among the lint and dustbunnies that litter the laundryroom floor. I can't move because I am a sock. If I could move I would unlose myself. If I could move I would make my way to a more hospitable place. I feel cold. I feel cold and damp. I feel cold and forgotten and I can't figure out a way to freedom. I am a sock. I am lone a lost sock. Help me
I am a thing. I am a thing that is small and has no home. I travel from here to there in search for crumbs and a place to sleep. I managed to enter a big box, this box had scary things that consisted of; 2 large fluffy things that hiss and have sharp claws (they like to chase me, I can't tell if its a game, or they want to eat me), 3 TALL things that walk on their hind legs and speak a weird language to eachother (they usually don't see me beacuse they never look down when then walk), There are random long holes in the ground that are sheilded with a gate and they omitt hot fiery air which burns me if I get too close. This place is pretty creepy, but it is warm and there are plenty of crumbs and places to hide.
Well, one day I was wandering around this huge box, when I saw two pairs of huge green glowing eyes in the corner by the pit of flames. It was the fluffies. I did not want to find out if they were hungry or just wanted to play, so I booked it out of there! I was running and running looking at the eyes grow closer (not looking where I was runing to), then all of a sudden...poof. I entered something dark. This scared me at first but then I realized that it was warm and extremely soft. I waited in here silent, so that the fluffies wouldn't find me. After a while it was still silent, so I figured I would take a look around this soft-odd shaped object. It was dark so I justfelt my way around. It felt as if it was never ending until I reached the round end of it. Then the ground beneath me callapsed!! I was falling and falling as if it were never ending. I fell asleep, yeah I don't know how I managed to fall asleep while falling into the unknown. When I woke up, to my surprise there were more things like me! Tons! It was purely amazing, really! There was a city with little shops and stores. I ate dinner with a family of creatures like me, and had a joyous time! I even slept in a pile of warm soft feathers! This was heavenly! I fell asleep and when I woke up, it was dark! All of the things like me were gone! I reached around and felt the soft stuff I felt before, and I felt the round end of the thing I was in. Then I felt a big rock! I wanted to go back to the fabulous place I was in, with creatures just like me! I felt around the ground for an opening...but there was nothing! But ohh man did I have a headache! I felt my head and I had a huge bump! Then I realized that while I was wandering around in the soft-odd-shaped object I was in, I reached out, lost my balance and hit my head on a rock! So this whole time.........I was dreaming! And that was how I spent my night in the dark-soft-odd shaped object(sock)!!
Away I went, just blowing in the wind..nobody can save me now, my aroma is wafting through the breeze. I miss the days when I was on a foot, inside of a shoe, and flat upon the grassy ground. My mind often trails off wondering how long I will be floating in this wind, weightless, and rolling as if on the surface of the sea. I am a flag, a banner of cotton drifting from the feet I once loved, but for now, I will stay and relax, it’s a beautiful day, just blowing in the wind.
Well, i knew it was going to be a bad day when i was disrespectfully used as a SOCK-MOP! Just because Lewis' fat foot kicked over a Fanta on Teren's rug. Lewis was on a 23 killstreak, so there was no way he was going to clean up the mess with a towel. So he improvised by using me :'( After the mess was cleaned up, lewis sat down into the chair.as lewis sat down he was Thumpered. as the irate lewis cussed about dying, he thew me to where i am today. The Man Cave.
"Wow! Thanks for leaving underneath the bed!" whined the little old sock. Now this little sock is not your ordinary sock because it can do things other socks can't. This sock is warmer, softer, and whiter than all the other socks. It knows karate and how to speak german. Instead of trying to climb his way out from underneath the bed he decided to relax and take it easy for a while because of the strenuous, over-use he experienced. So there he sat for the next two months gathering dust. Until one day he climbed out from under the bed when his owner was sleeping and strangled him to death.
Today I woke up feeling like a new man! or sock. Which is unfortunately what I am. Nobody ever appreciates socks. We do all the dirty work, and no one ever thanks us. The reason I felt liberated this morning was that I wasn't on my owners disgusting feet, I wasn't in the suffocating cloths hamper, and I wasn't drowning in the washing machine. I was lying on a lawn somewhere, with nothing around but the grass and the sky. I stretched out, thinking just maybe I could get a tan. What a wonderful day! But then the ground started shaking, and soon I felt hot breath on my ribbed neck. A furry creature had found me! It sniffed me and wetted on me and left me alone to suffer. But salvation was near. My wonderful owner found me and put me in that horrible machine that doesn't seem so horrible anymore. I won't ever complain again about this thankless life as a sock.
The sock fell out of the basket. It rolled underneath the dryer and into a hole. It floated down for what seemed like forever. Finally it landed in a puddle. Not knowing where it was, the sock inched its way through the darkness, stopping only to notice a dust bunny or small insect. As the sock proceeded, it fell though another hole. This time it landed in a fast current of water and was taken into the outside light where it rode the waves all the way to the outskirts of the city it lived in. The sock was scared and did not like being wet. The sock soon found itself out in the ocean, but had no clue what to do. All of a sudden a whale came up and swallowed the sock. Days passes and the sock was released from the whales clutches and spit onto the shore of a strange island. The sock soon realized, this was the Island of the Lost Socks. It was the place where all lost socks go to. All the socks welcomed their new companion with open feet, and they danced the sock hop and played football until the sun went down.
I haven’t seen light in days. It’s always dark in here. The walls are cold and slippy. I feel so alone. I can still remember the day me and my friends were playing, the rollercoaster went around and around and we laughed and enjoyed the heat. It seems like it was a long time ago now, but the memory keeps me going in here. Usually I spend my days sitting in a corner and tell myself stories, memories from the world out there. Sometimes I run back and forth up the hills. Sometimes I go looking for food, but most the time I can’t find anything else than dust. I really hope that somebody will find me in here really soon! I’m tired of being stuck in a washing machine. Lots of love from the lonely sock. /Jennifer
It all started when my friends and I had been strewn across the floor. We all were recently washed, so there was no denying that we looked good. But we, apparently, were not good enough for the bizarre giant who dug to the bottom of the pile. All that was needed was a sweatshirt, leaving us separated on the chilly floor of the room. My twin was nowhere in sight, and I was left in a corner on my own.
After some time, a cunning mouse snatched me with its mouth in the dead of night. I tried calling for help, but that was no good. I was too far away. So the mouse took me through a tiny hole and pulled me further into a creepy hole. It was very dirty in there. I tried not to pay any attention to all the dust bunnies that had stuck onto me.
Then the mouse stopped and squeaked. Shortly after three little mice ran to where we were. Without any hesitation, the little mice crawled inside of me and cuddled together. One of them chewed out a hole, which caused me a great deal of pain. Right then I knew that I would not be returning. I would be a lost sock forever.
Write about a day in the life of a lost sock. Where is it? What has happened to it? How does it spend its day? This is a story much like Toy Story. The purple sock with yellow monkeys were the little girl's favorite socks to wear. She refused to wear any other sock her mother bought her. One day a puppy grabbed her sock and hid it under the bed and chewed on it. It ripped and ghot crusty slobber staines on it. Worst of all...the sock worried about what it's other "pair" is doing and if the puppy attacked it as well. Lost and alone...this poor sock has no foot to warm. :( The end.
