Prompt: List all the reasons why you just wanted to stay in bed this morning. Then, list all the reasons why you decided to get up, get dressed, and face the day. Now, write a creative short poem or paragraph from the lists you generated. Have fun!
Well, I pressed my snooze button several times, but I knew I had to get up because I have practice and solo and ensemble tonight. But the main reason that I always just get out of bed is that having to make up for missing classes is worse than having to get out of bed.
I wanted to stay in bed because I stayed up really late last night watching the Olympics with my mommy, and then at the last minute decided to do some scholarship stuff. When my mom woke me up this morning, I could barely move but I knew I had to get up and get dressed or I would lay in my bed forever. I would not want any make up homework or miss basketball practice, so coming to school sounded like a better idea then staying home.
Why I wanted to stay in bed 1. I was tired from a long weekend of basketball 2. I stayed up past midnight last night completing social problems and chemistry papers
Why I got up 1. I had to fill out a job application at Premium waters Inc. 2. School is important and I wanted to get there before calculus.
Although I got up because of life, Staying in bed would have been nice.
I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I went to bed at a decent time, but in the morning, I was still tired. I was dreaming a happy dream when my alarm clock went off and I hate when my dreams are interupted. Then went I started to get out of bed, it was cold. I decide to come to school today because I hate to miss school, and I'm not allowed to just stay home whenever I want to. I also do not like to make up homework. My main motivation for getting up was to eat Lucky Charms. I love Lucky Charms!
I wanted to stay in bed this morning because: I felt tired, I was still shaken up by the scary dream that I had, My eyes would not stay open, and I was cold. I got up and faced the day because: I was hungry, and I wanted to see the sun.
I felt tired, Did not know what I desired, I could not open my eyes, I like my mom's blueberry pies, So I got up to see the sun, Maybe I will have some fun.
I wanted to sleep in because: I was tired this morning. It was very cold in my room. I did a whole lot of nothing this weekend and it sounded like a nice idea to keep it up.
I decided to get up because: I had solo ensemble. I was hungry. My mom would make me get up anyway and I didn't want her jabbing at me if I were try to get a few extra minutes of shut-eye.
This weekend was a jolly good time But now I hear my alarm clock chime. I do not wish to get out of bed. I would rather stay home and sleep instead. But all my friends will be at school So to stay in bed would be very un-cool. I should get up - my tummy is growling. I would like to eat some toast.
By the way I have to say That come what may Seniors rock - 2010 all the way!
The last part of the poem is not relevant. I just thought I'd add that for the heck of it.
Well on Monday morning there were a couple very good reasons that I did not want to get out of bed. The first reason that I wanted to stay in bed was because I didn't feel good. The other reason that I wanted to stay in bed was because I was super tired from being up all night with food poisoning. It was not fun at all. I did, however, manage to get up and go to school for two hours. Eventually I decided to go home, because I felt terrible. I totally agree with Danielle. Making up homework sucks a lot. It is never fun playing catch-up.
Well,
ReplyDeleteI pressed my snooze button several times, but I knew I had to get up because I have practice and solo and ensemble tonight. But the main reason that I always just get out of bed is that having to make up for missing classes is worse than having to get out of bed.

There are several reasons I wanted to sleep in this morning.
ReplyDeleteReason #1: First and foremost, I am a high school senior. I am always tired.
Reason #2: Secondly, like Sammy, I too stayed up late and watched the Olympics.
Reason #3: The third reason I wish I would have slept in was the fact that we weren't doing a whole lot in band or CAD this morning.
There is only one reason I did not sleep in this morning.
Only Reason: Knowing everyone would probably miss me, I figured I'd better come and keep em' happy.
Sleeping comes natural to me
Its quite simple I do say
Just close your eyes and end your day
I'm a senior of course
We all stay up late
Why most always because of a date
Its half past one
there goes my curfew
My mother will be waiting
"Where the heck were you!"
Tomorrow I will pay
No sleeping in for me
Tonight was a blast
Why couldn't it last?
If there was one thing I wished
My wish would be
Never being tired
And sleeping till three
So tonight I lay myself to sleep
Hold fast my dreams to hold and keep
Good night to all
Please do sleep well
Just count to three
And rest in Thee
