Today you are an animal. What animal are you? Why did you choose to be that animal? Write a brief short story in which you are your chosen animal. What happens?

  1. I am a parrot on the shoulder of a pirate. It is the year 1492. The pirates were traveling through the Atlantic Ocean on a mission to search for other ships and destroy them. Traveling day after day and not finding a ship made my owner extremely mad. He became violent and tried killing me, so I flew away because it was not my day to die. It just could not be my day, not yet. I kept flying until I actually found another ship and made my way to safety on the crow's nest. A person on that ship came up to me and I was scared that he was going to kill me, but he just wanted to help me recover from that long flight. I found out that his name was Christopher Columbus. He wanted to search for new land. I did not want him to go close to my old owner, so I flew ahead of the ship to keep lookout for him. We never did run into him and after traveling for months, we reach land that is now called America.
    That's all I got.

  2. I am a mallard. There are three reasons I enjoy being a mallard. I get to fly, swim, and migrate down south during the winter.

    LUKE THE MALLARD
Born in Wabasha, Minnesota, Luke grew up beside the Upper Mississippi. Each day he enjoys flying the riverbanks and swimming with his friends. One day Luke decided to go on adventure with his friends David, Nathan, and Casey. They woke up early and packed a lunch. They were headed out for a picnic in Alma. On their way, they came across some hunters. Dodging patterns of shot, they flew past the hunting party safely. A few minutes later, the birds came across another group of hunters. Unfortunately, the hunters hit their targets this time. Luke, Casey, Nathan, and David all took a dive into the river. Luckily, none of the shot penetrated the ducks. THey were temporarily knocked out. Recovering before the retrievers caught them, the birds flew safely home.

  3. I would be the Abu. Why, you may ask? Well, everyone breaks into random song and dance all the time:)!

A story has already be written about me, and I guess I am pretty important because evryone has heard of me, but here is something you may not know about me. I can actually talk. Yeah, the people from Walt Disney thought it was better that kids wouldn't see me talk...eventhough they let the Genie talk and Genies don't even exist. Also, I still don't understand why they let the bird talk either...oh well...like I said before at least there was music.

p.s. I know I have a really long run on sentence so sorry.

  4. Oh, I use to love pretending I was an animal when I was little! Except now I don't know what animal I want to be. I guess if I had to choose one animal to be it would probably be a white tiger. I chose to be a white tiger because that is my favorite animal, and it is very unique just like me. =)

Once upon a time there was a little white tiger cub named Jade. She loved to be adventurous and explore. One day when she was roaming through the jungle she came across a group of elephants. She saw the baby elephants playing by the water and wanted to join them so she ran over there quietly. The baby elephants were scared of Jade at first, but than they realized that she was a friendly tiger and only wanted to play. Jade played with her new friends for a long time until they had to leave. Jade returned home and told her mom and dad all about her new elephant friends. Finally it was time for be and Jade layed down with her brothers and sisters and watched the stars until she finally fell asleep. The End. =)

P.S. Sorry my story is so lame, I didn't have much of an imagination today.

  5. I am the timber wolf. The lone ranger of the woods feared by every other creature in the forest.

    DAVID THE WOLF

Risen from the melted glaciers of Canada, I fought my way through the icy tundra of Wisconsin. All alone, I followed the caribou and elk herds. When I was hungry, I ate. When I was tired, I slept. When I was being stalked by a lurking predator, I killed. No matter what the circumstances, I was built to survive.
Through my travels, I witnessed many great feats such as climbing Iron Mountain and pearing into valley below. Another feat was killing a human, (yes, I killed a human), that was hunting me.
Being a wolf would be awesome!

  6. So, I'm going to be a deer. I am in the woods being chased by Edward, the vampire from Twilight.

Oh man...here comes Edward. These dang vampires should really just stick to eating humans. The Cullen family thinks that they are being less than monsters for not eating people, but that doesn't mean that they can go rip the throats out of all the deer in the woods.

Edward and his family have already killed the rest of my family, I should just give up running and let him eat me. Or maybe I'll get lucky and a human will come across his path and distract him.

And don't get me started on the books that Stephenie Meyers has written. Oh, she makes those vampires look like that are tortured souls and they are doing people a favor by not eating them.

Oops..looks like I was doing too much thinking and not enough running. Edward got me..(I die)

    then end

  7. There once was a little kitten named Mandy. She was very cute and fluffy with orange fur. She loved to frolick and play in the flowers with the other kittens on the farm. One day Mandy saw a very nice tree, and she wanted to climb to the top. She stuck out her pointy little claws and pounced up using her tiny legs. She grabbed onto the tree and held on with all her might. Little by little she wiggled her way up to a big branch. She did it! She was very happy, but after she basked in her glory for a few minutes she realized that she was too scared to jump down. She sat on the branch and meowed for her mother. Finally, her mom came and helped her down. Mandy was so happy that her mom found her, but since Mandy was quite mischievious, she didn't stop climbing trees despite her traumatic experience. Soon her mother didn't have to help her down anymore.
    The End

  8. If I could be any animal I wanted I would be a leather back turtle.Living in the sea would be awesome. I would hang out and swim all the time.

One dark night Lydia the turtle swam up to the beach to lay her eggs. She started digging in the sand with her big turtle legs and entered her mother turtle trance and popped out a bunch of eggs. Then she covered them up and swam back out to the ocean.

  9. If I were an animal, I would be able to morph into five different animals. I would be: a squirrel, a girraffe, a cheetah, a whale, and a mouse.
I would be a squirrel because they have extreme agility and are able to climb trees.
I would be a girraffe because they are very tall and are able to detect predators from a long ways away.
I would also be a cheetah because they can run really fast and are able to hunt big-game animals because they are so agile.
I would definately want to be a whale because they are so huge and they will not get eaten by other fish and they can swim.
My last morph would be a mouse. It would be nice to be a mouse because when there is danger, they are able to hide in a little hole and be unseen.

  10. If I could be an animal, I would have to pick the best animal in the world, a cat. During my day as a cat, I would spend my time outside in my mom's carden. First of all, I would take a nice long nap in the warm summer sun. Then, I would take a lazy walk through the flowers. It would be fun to see how they look from a different point of view. Next, I would climb a tree and chase squirrels. Then, I would be tired out. I would take another nice nap. :)

  11. If I were an animal I would be a flying squirrel. Deffinately. Because they can fly and crawl up trees, and maybe even swim! So they pretty muchdo everything. Which is awesome.
I would start out my day by rolling out of my nest in a tree and soaring down to the forest floor. I would spend my day eating delious berries and such, and then I would climb to te top of the tallest tree and go tree hopping :).
