On my way into work this morning, one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs came on the radio. That inspired today's journal: you are going to write a song! :-) Be sure to have a least two verses and a chorus. Establish a consistent rhyme scheme. Remember, writing song lyrics isn't really much different than writing a poem. Many poems have been made into songs (from Sir Walter Raleigh to Shakespeare to Tracy Chapman).
Have fun!

I love to lay in the sun.
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun.
Being part of something to fall on,
and eating a hotdog bun.
On the beach, on the beach,
On the beach, on the beach.
Big beach ball and sun tan lotion
the water looks like a witch's potion
gone with the wind and...
into the sky
On the beach, on the beach,
on the beach, on the beach.
WE LOVE YOU DURKE CONDAN!! GOOD NIGHT!!
I wanna go driving,
ReplyDeletego driving
in a blue cadilac,
yeah-ah
through the salty deserts,
oh oh
riding with you!
(In what, in where, with who)
I wanna go driving,
go driving
in a blue cadilac,
yeah-ah
through the salty deserts,
oh oh
riding with you!
With you, with you-oooooo.
Yeah!
hahahahahhahahahahahaha
