Creative Writing

You are a famous reporter. You've just scored your long dreamed-for interview. Write up that interview for me. Use sensory details.

Ex: William Shakespeare walks into the studio dressed to kill. His stockings are a brown worsted wool with pink paisleys. His overcoat has the same pattern as his stockings. His hair looks like it's been recently cut and he's chosen to trim his beard and goatee for the occasion. He smiles, says hello, and sits in the interview chair. I'm so nervous that I drop my interview cards. He bends over, ever the gentleman, to help me pick them up....

Get the idea?

  1. I am going to interview Edward Cullen, the vampire.

So, I am going to the Cullen's family house in Forks to interview Edward. When I arrive, I see the huge house and that the back side of the houes is completely made out of glass. I walk up to the door and raise my hand to ring the doorbell when the door swings open and Edward is standing on the other side. He invites me in with his smooth voice. I am led to the kitchen where I am introduced to the rest of the Cullen family. They are all busy cooking some amazing smelling food. Edward tells me that his mother, Esme, wanted to cook for me. I'm a little nervous when I am seated at the large oak dinning room table and a plate of food is set in front of me. Whatever it is, it looks slimy. The Cullens do not eat food, so I was worried that the food would be gross. I tasted it to be polite and found that it was really quite good. After I finished the meal, Edward and I finally began our interview. He made me feel very relaxed, even though I was well aware that I was sitting in a room with a vampire. I asked him all about living the way he does and I asked him about how he feels about having his life story published in a book by Stefanie Meyers. Edward was very good about all the questions and answered every single one. I left the house very excited because I had finally got to meet Edward and I knew that my story would be a hit.

  2. I am going to interview Tyra Banks.

I am at the set of America's Next Top Model. I walk up the runway of where the models get eliminated. At the end of the runway Tyra Banks is sitting waiting for her interview. She is a very pleasant and nice person. She has many stories to tell me about her show and about her experiences in life. She invites me to stay and help her judge the model's pictures for the next show. I was pretty pumped. I love watching America's Next Top Model. She discusses with me what a hard process it is to select the right pictures. I got some great detailed behind the scences stories and pictures. Everyone will want to read this once-in-a-lifetime interview with Tyra Banks.

  3. I am going to interview Jane Austen.

I think it would be fun to go back in time to see how her stories started and came to be.

I step into the time machine-destination-1810. I have decided I should seee Jane Austen in person before I make my presentation about her. I end up in a house and wonder to myself, "Where am I and how do I find Jane Austen." It is interesting that that thought never crossed my mind before I started my quest to meet Jane Austen. Oh my gosh I heard something. Who could it be? It was an women...could it be hear...oh my godness...then I hear another voice. It says Cassandra come here. I realize that is Jane's sister. Could that be Jane's voice? I am stuck. I can't move. How do I explain who I am or why I am here...I don't want to mess up the future by telling her about the 'famousness' of her works. Maybe I should leave now. What should I...then I hear...Who are you? Uh Oh!

  4. I am going to interview James Bond. I am waiting in this high end hotel waiting and I still don't see him. I am waiting at a bar in the casino when this man in a tux approaches me. He tells me to follows him, but to make it look like I am not following. I end up down this long hallway. He tells me to walk into this room with the lights out. I am scared, but I do it anyway. There is a little orange light coming from a cigar. I approach it and trip on the table, not knowing where anything is. The man clapped his hands once and the lights turned on. I get up and find a chair to sit in and the interview begins. I feel very nervous now that I made a bad first impression. I start anyway. He does not tell me much because he is a spy of course. We talked about where he has all been and about his personal life. Bond is really private about his life and doesn't say much. Out of nowhere, an alarm goes off and Bond clapped his hands again to turn the light out. He tells me to not make any noise and to go into the corner. I am thinking to myself how can I go anywhere without making noise. I tripped on the table before. I get up and feel around and safely make it to a corner. I hear two men fighting and then I hear a gun shot. All I can think about is Bond got shot and now is dead. So I clap my hands and the lights turn on. There is a dead man on the floor, but I don't know where Bond is. He is nowhere. Well, I guess that is the end of my interview with James Bond.

  5. I am going to interview Kobe Bryant:

I arrive in L.A around noon, and rent get a taxi to drive me to the Staples Center. When I arrive to the Staples Center I see all the people getting ready to watch Kobe and all the Lakers team play. There are a million people there and the game is very intense. Kobe finishes the game with 30 points and a ton of assits and rebound. Kobe's assitant comes and takes me to a seperate room so he can tell me all about the game. He tells me about his childhood, and previous games. He was nothing like people think. Not cocky, or inconsiderate, but a normal person who loves the game of basketball and plays with a lot of emotion. I end my interview and take a taxi back to the airport and fly home to write my interview on Kobe Bryant.
