Today's creative writing assignment: write about a prom incident. It can be humorous or scary or whatever type of incident that you decide. Please don't use a real prom incident from years' past, be creative.
Me and my friends had been waiting for prom for months. We all had our tuxes and the girls had picked out their dresses. The night of prom, we picked up our dates and headed to Eau Claire. After eating a filling meal at China Buffet, we suddenly started feeling sick. We figured we must have ate too much food and would eventually feel better. However, things did not change. By the time we arrived at the dance, we were throwing up all over the place. Everyone thought we had the flu, when really we had food poisoning. After making the place a mess, we took our dates back to their houses and went home. It was not what we had planned for.
I headed to my car with my girlfriend's corsage in hand. It was a very rainy day and I was afraid that I was going to slip into the mud. As soon as the thought of slipping crossed my mind, my feet came out from underneath me, and I started sliding down into my lawn. However, I never did stop sliding until I reach my Girlfriend's house. By the times I got there, there was a huge hole in the butt of my pants. When Her and I tried to take her car to prom, a unicorn grabbed the trailer hitch and picked us up and we flew us to our restaurant. We ate meatloaf on top of a waterfall, which was pretty darn good if I might say. As we were leaving the restaurant, I met a litlle elf who told me that he could fix my pants, and before I could answer him, he was done. Our Unicorn/car was waiting to take us to the prom. Walking into the prom, I noticed that the theme was,"Anchorman and Ancharlady". Everybody had business suits and dresses on. So my date and I tore off our over -clothes, and underneath we had on some sweet suits and dresses. The prom experience was pretty much awesome, and I was full of meatloaf tobute.
It was my Junior prom and all of my friends were getting ready at my house. We were putting on our makeup, fixing our hair, and putting on our gorgeous dresses. Our dates were coming to our house in an hour and we were all very excited. The hour flew by so fast. It got to be the time where we thought the boys should be here, ten or fifteen minutes past and they were still not here, so we again spent some time touching up our hair and makeup, and taking pictures. More time went by and our dates were still not here. All of us girls were freaking out. We were calling and texting our dates, but they seemed to be ignoring us. Four hours had went by and the dance was starting. We all decided to go to the dance on our own, so we hopped in our cars with our poofy dresses and drove to the gym where the prom was being held. When we arrived we saw our dates dancing and having a good time. We all stormed up to them and asked them why they had ditched us? They responded with, "Wow we thought you ditched us, we thought you were meeting us at the resturant?" We all realized that it was a big misunderstanding and they really did not intend to ditch us. We ended up having the best prom ever, but it did not start out the way we planned.
We were off to the restruant we designated as the place we were going to on prom night. The date started off very well as I met up with my date Big Ronda. When I helped her in to the car was where it all spiraled down from as her dress split in the butt when she tried sitting down. I told that her dress was going to rip either becasue she had bought it way too small for her husky size. Because her dress ripped she was self concious the rest of the night as she was obsessively sweating which made her makeup run. Everytime she would smile at me with gratification for paying for her dinner, her face turned into a nasty, makeup-smeared grin. She looked like a an old lady with gas cramps. The dance was a little better because it was dark and I felt more like I was dancing with Ernest Borgnine. Then I went home.
My name is Hank and I am so nervous. You see, I am but a measly freshman, and this is my first prom. For some reason (that is unknown to me) the hottest senior girl in the entire school asked me to go to prom with her. Her name is Scarlet, and she has red hair (which makes her look even hotter, in my opinion). So I just put on my tux and I ask my mom if she could drive me to Scarlet's house in the nice car to pick her up. My mom nicely agrees so we hop into her lime-green minivan and set off. By the time we get to Scarlet's house I am sweating like a pig and my hands are shaking so hard that I can barely even hold the box containing her corsage. I ring her doorbell and wait. When she opens the door, I look at her and she just rolls her eyes at me. She grabs the corsage and throws it into a bush next to her front step. She says, "Jeez, let's go, you little twerp. By the way, I'm driving us." I DON'T GET IT! when she asked me, she was really nice! What happened to the nice Scarlet I used to know?! She drives us to the prom and treats me like I am a complete buffoon in front of all her senior friends. I am just about to cry when I hear a shy innocent voice behind me. "Hank?" it says. I turn around and see... Wait. I see Scarlet. A different Scarlet. Woah... What the HECK?! "Oh Hank, I am soooo sorry. It seems that you have met my twin sister, Crimson. She is very mean and she always wants to ruin my life." I am very thankful that Scarlet wasn't mean to me, but I was also confused. I guess I will just have to be more careful next time I take a girl to prom...
So, last year was a very memorable prom. It started out just great. I woke up, went to my hair appointment, did my make-up, and got my dress on. I look fabulous! My date came to pick me up and of course we took more pictures. We all headed out to Amanda's house (we wanted to take pictures with her cows). It was fun and no one got dirty. We went out to eat at a fancy five star place and then drove back to Colfax for the dane. I was thinking to myself that this prom was going better than anyone could imagine, until we got to the school. There was no one there. How was that possible? The grand march was at 8:45 and it was 8:30. We all got out of our cars and approached the school with confusion. The doors were locked and the lights were off. Suddenly, I realized that today was Sunday.. and that prom had been LAST night. How had we all messed that up? No one ever could figure out how we all messed up prom; it was always a mystery.
