I don't really feel like being at school today. Not much sleep helps my cause for being lazy and wanting to stay in bed for a few more hours. I'm still behind in a class or two and homework doesn't seem appealing to me. I can't wait to graduate from high school and go to college. (:
ReplyDeleteAhh i'm really getting sick of high school drama! its killing me already and we just started the school year. Anyways i got a laptop and that makes me very happy and i just joined 4th hour spanish 2 today. I need it to get into Eau Clarie so i figure i better take it as soon as i could. I'm actually filling out an aplication right now thast kinda funny. Well thats all i can really think of right now.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking a lot about sleeping outside. I've tried it once, but it was unsuccessful because every living mosquito seemed to find it's way to the small hole at the top of my sleeping bag, and I nearly lost my mind when one took chunk out of my eyelid. I went inside. Nevertheless, for the hour or so I was out there, I really enjoyed it. It was really cool to watch the stars and see a bunch of shooting stars (even thought those ones are scary...). I am eager to try it again, but it's getting colder outside...

ReplyDeleteNothing exciting happened today. So I decided to share a poem I just finished.
ReplyDeleteMy web of love is strong, it's pure and fresh and new
it's untouchable and beautiful and wet with mourning dew
My love has not been broken, my love has not been tried
my love is clean and innocent, my love has never lied
But a web is easily tangled, the strands are quick to break
and the dirt and lies that cling to it are impossible to shake
What a risk it is to build a web, how hard to keep it whole
how easy to relinquish it, how simple to let go
My web has taken time, I have given it my heart
and it doesn't even matter because I'm tearing it apart
I tear it with my jealousy, I tear it with my lies
I tear it with my heartache and I tear it when I cry
My love has turned to shambles and it's hanging by a thread
so that, either it is dying or it is already dead
I didn't ask my love to fail me, and I wrap myself in guilt
because I've killed and I've destroyed the only beauty I have built
How could I let this happen? My web was once complete
but now time is racing backwards and the strands lay at my feet
So I pick them up and start again, how was I to know?
that building love takes time and trust, and space and faith to grow
So I'm back at the beginning, with knowledge from my past
and I can only hope and pray that this time my love will last
My web of love is strong again, it's pure and fresh and new
it's untouchable and beautiful and wet with mourning dew
Well this morning I woke up and the cold I had managed to get worse. But I went to school in the morning figuring even if I'm home I'll still have the cold so might as well go and get some homework accomplished, but after second hour I decided sleeping all day sounded better. So I went home and took a four nap. I sure wish I could do that more often. Hope I don't have too much stuff to homework to catch up with if I'm there tomorrow though.
ReplyDeleteToday was our last first Monday as high school seniors! I totally didn’t realize that until after I got home from school this evening. Probably would have realized that sooner, but the majority of today seemed to go by incredibly slow until after lunch (or maybe that’s just me?). It definitely felt like a Monday today, and you can just see just how unenthusiastic we were for another week of school just by how quiet everyone seemed to be today. I am sure that the frequent yawning throughout the day didn’t help make it move by any faster either.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Is it Friday yet?
My weekend was awful. I didn't want to come to school today because I have so much on my mind and I'm stressed to the max! However, seeing some of my friends made me laugh and feel a little better. I'm not looking forward to being gone Wednesday and Thursday, because it is not a fun reason. On top of that, I have to fit all of the homework in. I'm excited for Friday's football game. I believe the boys can pull off another win. :) We have a cross country meet in Rice Lake tomorrow, and I am looking forward to that! Well, off to do homework!
ReplyDeleteI find ancient Egypt really amazing! I love all their ideas they had and all the sweet things they built with the most basic technology. It boggles the mind to think that humans were capable of building such fasinating structures at that point in time. One of my favorite things about anient Egypt is their cool gods they beleived in. Horus is by far my favorite. He had the head of a falcon and was considered the god of the sky, war, and protection. I would love to learn even more about Egypt, and someday go there and see all the sites.

I can never think of what to write for these things. It really doesn't feel like we are seniors. Is it just me? The year seems to be going slow so far but I'm hoping it starts to speed up soon. And to think, it's only Monday. Four days left of the week and then the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell hello...lets see what I shall write about. I have been taking a lot of photos lately and its too bad that there are only two days in the weekend. Right now I am starting to draw a portrait of Sierra for Adv. Studio Art.
ReplyDeleteI really want to go to outerspace. It is so fascinating. Isn't it just crazy that it never ends? Space is one of the few things that mankind knows very very little about. It is so immense! I think it should be a bigger part of everyone's lives. Nobody really pays attention to it, it is overlooked and seen as an ordinary thing in everyday life. Imagine if you had never seen it before and then all of sudden...BAM! it was there! Imagine how fascinated we would all be! We should make t-shirts that say..."not an empty space"! Even though all of the bodies in space are spaced out (haha spaced out), it is filled with mysterious miracles. Yeah so I really just find space the most extraordinary thing in everyday life

Our priest from my parish built a Catholic school in India (He's from India). It is called Our Lady of Fatima School. Right now there is a 152 students. All the teachers at the school can speak English, therefore they are teaching the kids in English, so the kids will be able to speak it. My parish and two other parishes and many other people donated all the money to build the school. We are now trying to get sponsors for each child so they can get their lunch paid for, for a year. It is 10 dollars a month. That is $120 a year. It only cost them 33 cents to eat lunch there a day. Crazy!..compared to here. My grandpa volunteered to keep the sponsorship stuff all organized, but of course he doesn't know how to do anything on the computer--like Excel and Word. So he asked me to help him. I made a sheet to keep track of which kid they sponsored, if they paid, how much they paid, and their names and addresses. I also have to make whoever sponsored a child a Thank You card. It's a lot of work. I'm doing it right now, that's why I decided to write about it. It has taken me many hours to try and get this all organized, but I know it is for a good cause, and I can count it as community service hours for NHS. Someday, I would really love to go on a mission trip over to India and visit the child I sponsor and see the school my family helped build by donating money. Our family picture is also up in the school because we donated money. I think that would be a rewarding journey:)
ReplyDeleteAnyone who would like to sponsor a child is more than welcomed too :D Only $10 a month!
Well today was a good day, mostly because it went flying by at super speed. This weekend i went on a college visit to North Carolina (as you probably may know. I met with the coaching staff, who weren't only great coaches, but they were all very funny and easy to get along with. I met with the team, and every single girl on the team is incredibly nice. Plus each one had an accient, some a little more country than others. I met with a few of their families, woho accomodated me to ice cream and a meal, which was very nice! I told them about our winters and how much snow we get, and they just about freaked out! They said that if there is an inch of snow, or even just a warning for snow, schools would be closed down and people who be acting crazy! Anyways I went on a tour of the wntire college and I fell in love imediately! On Sunday morning the head coach, coach starkey, picked me up from the dorm i was staying in. On the drive to my parents hotel to pick them up, he offered me a full ride to play d2 basketball!! Which is plainly my dream come true! We picked up my parents, ate at Cracker Barrel and I made my decision right there at the restaraunt! Now thats a wekend never to forget!
ReplyDeleteIt feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, and now I can focus on school work. When it becomes basketball season the only thing i have to worry about is simply playing as hard as i possibly can, pressure free!

I wish I had glasses and braces. It really gets to me when people complain about having them. My mouth is a painful mess because I get canker sores when I'm really stressed out. I have two canker sores on my bottom lip and my last wisdom tooth is giving me issues. To top that off, I went to the chiropractor yesterday for the first time; I found out I tore something in my neck. I don't remember what it's called. I think it's something like "para-lateral" muscle or tissue. I don't know. And my neck has NEVER cracked before, so it felt so WEIRD when the chiropractor cracked it! I can't wait to go to dance today and learn the HOMECOMING ROUTINE! Everyone better watch it because you'll laugh so hard. Tonight I'm going to a website that Mrs. Rambo referred me to. Something about a beatiful mess. I need to attack my list of "things to do". I feel like I'm slacking a lot, but feeling overwhelmed at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for the homecoming routine the dance team is doing. It's something I've wanted to do since I saw my sister be in it, and it's super funny. Plus, we get to make it up ourselves and it's going to be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteBut along with dance is a huge amount of homework. I feel like that's all I do in my freetime anymore. Plus with college applications, scholarships, and worrying about how I'm going to pay for college, senior year is going exactly how everyone told me it would.
Today I got to go to the cities to play basketball and it was a blast. I am very tired though and feel like sleeping for days. I just wish that basketball was here now. School just seems to go smoother and quicker. School so far has been not too bad though. Once again, I think we need a nap time in school.
