Do you have to do chores around the house? If so, which chores do you enjoy and which do you despise? Why?

  1. Honestly, my only "real" chore is completing the task of finishing my room. I have to paint a couple more walls and get all of my stuff shoved back in my room so my whole upstairs isn't filled to the brim with my clothes, shoes, etc. I've been procrastinating this project since I've started in in the summer. I'm really not looking forward to the whole painting process, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product! I like painting, but it just seems like it's taking me forever to finish this project. Sometimes I wish my walls could paint themselves.

  2. I don't necessarily have to do "chores." I don't have a set of chores to do every day, but my parents do ask me to do the laundry and fold it or unload and load the dishwasher. Sometimes I have to clean the kitchen. I don't really despise any of the chores because I don't have to do them a ton, but if there was one I had to do I would not want to fold a butt load of laundry. I'd rather unload and load the dishwasher. It's faster.

  3. I don't really have shores to do either. I just do whatever that needs to be done that day. Normally I'm the kid in the family that does the laundry and dishes, as well as other little chores around the house. I'm the odd one out in my family as they like to do things outdoors, while I like to just stay inside. I don't really hate doing my "chores," but I don't necessarily like doing them either. There are some days in which I just do them because I have nothing to do. But on days when I want to do other things, I tend to not do them until either my mom or dad yells at me to get them done.

  4. I don't have a ton of chores to do are anything but I do have some. If I notice the kitchen garbage is full, I'm supposed to take that out to the garage, but I forget to that a lot. Every Saturday, I'm supposed to clean, vacuum, and dust our family room. Thats not too bad and it goes pretty quick. Besides that I don't have much more. My parents will ask me to help out with other random things around the house and stuff. I help my dad out a lot working on the cars and all of those things. Sometimes I mow or rake, but my brother usually does that. So I don't really have a ton that I have to do, but my parents usually end up finding stuff for me to do anyways.

  5. I have alot of chores to do at home. I have to sweep the kitchen, vacuum the stairs, clean my room, unload the dishwasher, walk the dog, and mow the lawn. I don't enjoy any chores that involve the kitchen. When I unload the dishwasher, I always get confused where things go and there is always containers or glass bottles I have never seen before.
I do like to take the dog for a walk, because it's always nice to go for walks, and he always acts really strange. I can stand mowing the lawn if I can have music playing on my ipod. Its not alot to mow, but when its hot outside, it feels like hours to mow everything.

  6. Since I've gotten older, I don't have chores because I pick up after myself. The only real chore I have is taking the garbage to the dump every other Saturday, which can be pretty disgusting. If the dishwasher is full of clean dishes I put them away, or if there are dirty dishes in the sink I wash them. I used to do my own laundry, but since it's basically just my mom and I in the house we take turns. Every once in a while we'll have a cleaning day and I'll have a huge list of chores.

  7. I do have chores but I don't technically have to do them all the time. No I do not really like to do them, but (and this is where everyone will hate me) if you get paid for them why not. It's not like I do them every week, but the chore is usually done once a week. The chores I usually do is cleaning vanities, and vacuuming/washing the floors. I'm not a big fan of the dishes, though I will do them on occasion.

  8. I don't have that many chores. I undo the dishwasher and empty the garbage. I also have to wash, dry, and fold the laundry. At night, I make sure all the animals are in the house, and fill up their waters. They are not bad chores, actually they are really easy, but I just don't like to waste my time with them.

  9. I don't really have set "chores" to do. In my family, everyone does everything. Whoever has the time to do it does it. It would be nice to have set "chores" but nope, not me. I do everything everyone else does. Of course I don't like to do them all the time but if I don't do them who will? My sister, Jess, has to do the same things I do too. It has taught us how to take care of ourselves for sure though! Unlike some people I know, I will be able to do my laundry, wash dishes, clean a house, you name it, I probably learned how to do it!

  10. I don't have a list of chores to complete every day or every week or anything. At my house, my mother and I do most of the chores because we cannot STAND a messy/dirty house. It is very annoying when Nathan has to wash like, two dishes and he complains about it. And my dad always complains that we have too much stuff, but he ever gets rid of it!We have an extremely old computer downstairs that nobody has used for about seven years. It drives me crazy! I am a complete minimalist. My room is almost bare. I even got rid of my curtains (not my shades). But anyway, back to chores, I really think that knowing how to clean a bathroom and wash clothes and scrub an oven are very important skills that a lot of people never bother learning. I feel blessed that I am not ignorant in the realm of knowledge pertaining to cleanliness.

  11. I don't have a set list of chores. I just do whatever needs to be done and right now I really need to clean my room! I just pitch in when something needs to be cleaned or the horses need something etc...I really don't like cleaning my room when I have homework that needs to be done! Cleaning my room sometimes makes me feel tired and it gets really long because when I clean my room, I really like to CLEAN my room. I dust and everything! Sometimes I set aside a day just for my room cleaning, it always feels so nice when I go to bed in clean sheets and a spotless room :)

  12. I have some chores, but mostly I have things that are expected of me. I am expected to keep my room clean, though the majority of the time it is a mess. I am expected to clean up my stuff out of the living room each week. If my dad asks me to unload the dishwasher then I will do it. If they ask me to take out the papers, then I will. Sometimes I have the sudden urge to vaccume the carpet, so I do that about once a week, or when it gets really dirty. So I sort of enjoy that. I usually end up doing my own laudry becuase when my mom tells me to bring down my dirty clothed i usually forget until the last second.

  13. Well, I don't really have specified chores. I just do whatever I think should be done, or whatever I'm asked to do.

I usually go on cleaning and scrubbing sprees, plus organizing things so the house looks good. That's my favorite job.

My least favorite job, however, is putting away the clean silverware. I'm fine with putting away dishes, but NOT the silverware! It takes forever, and it's SO messy and disorganized when the clean silverware is randomly thrown in the dishwasher.

I also hate putting away clothes because it's so time-consuming.

  14. The only chores I ever really have to do is normally work outside around the house. Sometimes it is ok, but then there are days that really suck. I do enjoy like making steps out of rocks in my moms garden or just around the house. It takes a lot of time, but I've never really been bothered by doing it. I'm not that big of a fan of cutting wood though. That takes a lot of time that I don't like very much. I do like to mow and weed whip the lawn too.

  15. I don't really have too many chores. Sometime I have to do yard work, but that doesn't bother me. (unless it's hot) The one chore that I hate the most is cleaning my room. I live on the second floor of my house, so I see no point in having to keep my room clean. No one ever sees my room other than my friends.

  16. My only real chore is watching sarah and that doesn't take to much but sometimes its insain. I like cleaning my room just because its nice to sleep in a clean room for the most part. I hate doing laundry and dishes but its a part of life so i have to do it anyways!
