The ladies have had their turn, now it's onto the men. If you could meet one famous man, dead or alive, who would it be? Why? Now write a story in which you meet that man. What do you discuss? What do you do?
I would love to meet Stephen King. His books are amazing and sometimes I just can't put them down. He inspires me to one day write a book and put a little twist onto it.
I'd be in Maine, either Bangor or Center Lovell. I'd be walking down the street and we'd run into each other. Then we'd go to a quaint coffee shop and talk about his stories and how inspirational and influential he is. Then we'd go to his house, where I would meet his wife, Tabitha, and they would give me a tour. (:
(My dad actually saw his house and said he was scared to even drive up the driveway on halloween because Stephen King makes his house really scary.)
Well, I was looking up influential men of all time, because i couldn't think of one myself and Jesus was number one on the list. I think it would be pretty awesome to meet Jesus (hopefully I will someday). Just think, he was the only man to die and come back to life on the third day. It's pretty amazing. He spread his word to millions of people and his book (the bible) is the best seller of all time. AND his birthday is on Christmas which is celebrated by billions people. His promise is also simple. If you believe in him, you will have eternal life (John 3:16). I don't think I could talk to Jesus. It would be to nerve racking. But if I did talk we'd talk about everything! And I’m not really sure where we'd meet. But if that didn't happen, I think it would also be pretty cool to meet Abraham Lincoln. He did a lot for this country. We would probably meet at a cafe and talk about how he stopped slavery and just other random stuff. :):) OH! And another person I'd like to meet! Oh shoot, this is a girl, but I forgot to say it yesterday. Sarah Dessen. I love her books. If I meant her we would most definitely go out to eat at a cafe and talk about her books and where she got her ideas and inspiration. Every time I read one of her books, she makes me want to write one of my own. :)
I think it would be pretty amazing to meet Karl Lagerfeld. He is the head designer for Chanel and a major influence on the fashion world. There are plenty of other men who may be more intelligent and influential, I just think Karl Lagerfeld would be very interesting. If I met him, I doubt that he would really even talk to me and I'm not sure what I would even ask him because he is a very intimidating person. If I really got to know him, I'd probably ask what he sees as being the future of fashion. If we met we would most likely be in Paris.
I think it would be awsome to meet Micheal Chrichton. I am a huge fan of his books, and would love to have had the operntunity to meet with him. If we met, then I would ask him all about how he came up with all the ideas for his stories. We would go to the biggest library in the world and gather all his books and read them all. We then would go all over looking for the books I am missing from my collection. I would ask him to sign all my books, and in return I would have to help him write the next book he publishes. I have lots of ideas for books that i would love to write someday, and haveing my favorite author there would make it so awsome and easy.
I would like to meet James Patterson. I am a huge fan of all of his books. He's one of the few writers who can keep my attention in a book! His stories are so twisted and eerie and I don't know how he thinks of the content.
That is probably what we would talk about, how he comes up with his stories. I would ask him what was going through his mind when he was writing "The Lake House" and "The Beach House". Those were both really good books. I would also ask him how I could become a better writer. I bet i would get some pretty great advice. That's about it. :)
I would love to meet Steve Prefontaine (a.k.a. Pre). He was the greatest long distance runner of all time. He didn't start out amazing, he became amazing and that's why he is so inspiring. We would meet at the beach and go running. We would talk about what defines a great runner and how hard it is to overcome the mental aspect of running. He would teach me all he knows and leave me to run alone as he faded into the mist. The End.
He also has some of the most popular running quotes. One of my favorites is,“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” So... don't give up :)
Hmmm...There are so many people to pick from. Off the top of my head I would say A.A.Milne. He is the author of the original Winnie the Pooh books. Now, don't get me wrong I DO NOT mean the Pooh of today. No,I would honestly say the current Pooh is more of a large, bumbling idiot. But the original Pooh was simple, down to earth, and clever in his own little way. I really enjoy the books. I would ask Mister Milne about how he came up with the ideas for his stories. We would take a walk in the woods during winter and follow our own tracks around a big tree, just like piglet and Pooh did. (I also like the pictures in the original books WAY better, though A.A.Milne did not draw them.)
Right off the top of my head, there are two famous men that come to my mind (sorry, but I really can’t pick just one of them to ‘meet’). These men are Stephen King and Lewis Carroll. Both of these authors fascinate me, mostly because their imaginations just blow me away. There are other male authors that I like, but these two are on the top of my list.
If I had the chance to meet either of them, I can imagine meeting them somewhere totally unexpected. I can see myself meeting Stephen King somewhere that would give him inspiration for a new book – like a haunted house. Or maybe we’d go somewhere normal and just make a complete, unexpected twist to it. As for Lewis Carroll, we’d probably end up having a tea party somewhere. We would think up the most bizarre things anyone had ever heard and not care if everyone else thinks we’ve lost our marbles.
I know that getting the chance to talk with either of them would be really intriguing. Both have such terrific imaginations, and it would be really nice to learn what gives them inspiration when they write. It certainly would be a lot of fun discussing the best ways to scare the bejesus out of someone or making up the most random of things and create an entirely different world.
As an iMac lover, I would want to meet Steve Jobs. From watching his commencement speech at Stanford, you realize all of the obstacles he overcame in life. After dropping out of college, he later created Apple. In about ten years, Apple released the first Macintosh but Steve Jobs was fired. He then went on to create Next and Pixar Studios. Next eventually merged with Apple, making Steve the owner of Apple once more.
I'm assuming we would talk at a cafe somewhere. I would love to ask where he gets his inspiration from and try to tap into it. Hearing more about his life stories and talking to him would motivate me to achieve all of my goals in life. The quote he said at the end of his speech seemed to stick with me, "Stay hungry, stay foolish."
I know it's not his real name, but I want to meet the actual character. I wish Harry Potter was real, so I'm gonna pretend he is.
I would want to set myself up in a bad situation, like walking in a dark alley alone, so when some bad guys try to hurt me, HARRY POTTER TO THE RESCUE! He's so amazing.
Actually, that's kinda stupid. I would WAY rather go to Hogwart's School for Wizards and roam the entire school. There's SO many things to discover! I would probably get into trouble, some how. My curiousity gets the best of me.
I would ask Potter what he plans to do next, hero-wise. And I would want him to teach me how to ride a broom. I would want to talk to him about his crush. I don't personally think he's attractive and I know who he likes, so I would think it's ok to ask about his love life and give him advice.
He's just such a nice, interesting, and mysterious person.:)
I would like to meet Teddy Geiger! Ahh I want to meet him mostly because he is amazingly HOTT!! He is definitely up on the list of scorturing hot guys who I would love to meet! I would ask him about his music! He is a singer and he plays guitar which is like a double whammy(in a good way). I have had a little crush on him since like 6th grade! We would probably go to the movies, and maybie I could go on tour with him and get back stage access. It would be a fun time! Anywho, back to reality!
I think it would have been cool to meet Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula. It would have been interesting to find out where he had first heard about vampires. Even though I haven't read Dracula, I do plan on reading it...eventurally. Bram Stoker has influenced so many authors to write about vampire books. Because of him we have so many good books and not all of them are about vampires. We would walk the streets of where he lived, talking about the book.
I would want to meet Walt Disney. The main reason I want to meet him is to ask him if he could have visioned the future of the company he started. I've asked myself many times if he could see what has happened lately in terms of the Disney Channel, Disney cartoons and movies and other things that were produced my Disney Inc. I wander if he had a base idea that helped propel Disney to the way it is now. I don't know if this made any sense at all but that is who I would like to meet.
Well this one is easy. I want to meet Neil Armstrong. He went to the moon. Now how cool is that. It would be awesome to talk to him about it and what it was like and everything. So we'd obvioulsy have to go to the moon to talk about! Yeah, that'd be pretty cool. We would talk all about what exactly what he did and what the training was like and all that sort of stuff. It would be really cool just to get a chance to talk to him because he was such an influential person in America.
This one is a no brainer for me. I would want to meet Lance Armstrong. The man does what he loves and doesn't get anything get in the way. I can say that with meaning because the man still competed in whatever you would call bike racing with cancer. He is a very determined man that I look up to everyday. There is never a reason made by him to give up on something he wants and he just has the drive to do his best. I would probably just keep telling him that I try to push myself like him as much as I can everyday.

OH!I would also so have to say Tim Burton. Genius!
