Today you are an animal. What animal are you and why? Write a short story or poem in which you ARE that animal. What are you doing, seeing, and feeling?
MONKEY!!!! I am a monkey! It is my favorite animal ever. They are so cool and are really cute.
Im swinging through the trees. I can smell the deliciousness in the air, its so close but yet hiding somewhere in the trees. My tail balancing me as I scamper over leaves and twigs. I see my fellow monkey friends swinging next to me, racing me towards the same goal. My monkey senses tingle, the fruit we all seek is closing in fast. We all burst through a final bush into a world of bountiful, juicy fruit. We eat until we can't eat anymore. Then as the sun begins to go down, we curl up into our make shift beds and sleep throughout the night with out disruption. Our stomachs full, we are satisfied and ready for a long nights rest.
I'd have to say a Koala Bear. There the cutest animals i've ever seen and there so soft.
I'm climbing trees with my little baby girl on my back going to get something to eat. We run into our familys all my brothers and sisters and mom and dad and its like a family riunion. We chit chat about life and everything and then its time to go home. Time flys when your talking. Well i grab my baby and head back down the tree. I can feel her climging to my fur and i can feel the light brezze which means rain is comming. I can smell extreamly well and am drawn the the berrys on a bush. I can feel my claws digging into the tree trunk and a feel like i'm home.
uhh...I'm not sure.I guess today I feel like being a shark.
In a single movement I propel myself into the murky depths. The water runs along my dorsal fin, cooling me down. I can go anywhere. Sleek, yet powerful my body surges through the ocean, continuing it's journey in search of food. I am the leader of the ocean. Fear me, hide from me, praise me.
Warm, dark, and comforting, this is where I am, and where I long to be in the depths of winter, This is my home, my sheild from the bitterness of post-fall season, Inside, where I am, is just right, it is like christmas morning, waking up to scents of warm apple cinnomon, sitting cozily by the fire. this, this is how inside my home feels, I sneak my head up, to find a blasting breeze of the frigid air, this fills me with freight and worry, Instantly my body temp lowers and and tiny bumps form on my smooth skin. being out of my home is a scarey thing, it is like a box of free puppies on the side of the road, like salt and sugar. This feeling I do not like, not at all, i burry my head back inside, where it is warm, this is my home, this is where I belong!
It's dark, it's warm, and i can feel myself grow i'm warm but i'm cold, like i'm buried in snow i have plenty space, i want nothing at all but too soon, i can feel that my home is too small i want to stay curled inside of my shell until the depths of the heavens have sunken to hell i never will leave! I could not survive! If i escape i am sure i could not stay alive for my home is my shell, and the world is wide and i want nothing more than to stay here and hide But it's cracking and breaking, my eyes have gone blind! and i cry for the life i am leaving behind i have broken my shell, i am new to this life and the horror i feel cuts my heart like a knife so i sob and i weep but i can't cry for long because all that i thought has been proven wrong the world isn't evil, it's not brutal or cold so i free my restrictions, they loosen their hold and i fall, proud and free, into the soft air I strengthen my wings, i forget all my cares i have grown, i've become, everything that i need now my heart is not aching, my heart does not bleed i can live, i can grow, i can learn, i can thrive and that's all that i need to be truly alive
Being a giraffe would be pretty cool. They are super tall so they can pretty much see whatever they want. And they live in Africa. First of all that would be a cool place to go. And it would be pretty cool to live with all the animals out there. If was a giraffe, I would be able to eat food nobody else could get cause I would be the only one who can get the leaves from the tops of the trees. I would be roaming the African Plains, seeing whatever I want to, seeing all the birds flying up by me and hanging out with all the other animals.
I spend my days on the top of the world, flying whever I want. When it gets cold, I fly south without the cost of planes. I travel around the world, without a care.
Watching and waiting. That is what I have been doing as I hid in the tall, yellowing grass a short distance away from the watering hole. Several young, striped zebras were taking the opportunity to drink the cool water in peace, as the other animals had come by the pool earlier that morning. It was a very stupid decision on their part. They were being hunted, and they had no clue that one of them would soon become lunch.
Getting dizzy was out of the question today with there being so few of them. The zebras that were slurping up water were extremely foolish for not coming here with more of their own kind. But that was what was going to make this such an easy kill. They wouldn’t know what hit them when the right time came.
Hunger was testing my patience as I continued to hide. Just staring at my prey was almost too much too bare. I was tempted to jump out of my hiding spot in the grass and attack as they all continued to sip the water as if they were not in any sort of danger at all. Although the temptation was enticing me, I remained in my hiding spot. It was not in the nature of a lion to succumb to their hunger immediately. So I waited some more, until…
The black and white creatures began to walk away from the watering hole one by one. However, three of the zebras remained to suck up a quick mouthful of water before the others got too far. That was my cue to attack. I decided to take the closest and largest of the three oblivious zebras. Then, before they could realize what was happening, I finally ran out of my hiding spot and pounced.
I spend my days sleeping in the mud and eating. This weekend I walked up and down the hill, it was a lot of work. I am very tired, so this week I will be sleeping a lot. That is pretty much all I do is sleep. I love sleep and being lazy. That's what I'm knowing for.
Yep, that sucked. But I'm tired, so I need to go sleep. Goodnight.
I live underground and scurry through my tunnels during the day. When night falls, I come out of my home and scurry through the grass looking for nuts and berries. All of a sudden I hear a loud screech. I look up into the sky and see a Great Horned Owl circling above me. I know he's coming for me so I take off for my hole. I can hear his wings beating above me and feel my heart racing in my chest. I finally make it back to my home, safe and sound. Outside I hear a cry of defeat from the owl. I got away. This time.
Obviously, I'm a unicorn. They're sexy...plus they're magic.
Playing in the waterfall with my other unicorn friends, I'm exhausted at nightfall. I really shouldn't have played so hard, because I need energy at night. It's a dangerous place in this world.
I found a quiet, well hidden area in the magical forest. I stay there until dawn peaks, being aware of every living creature that is out to get me. Being a unicorn isn't all that easy. Some creatures are jealous of my skills. They try to suck my blood to live forever, as you've probably seen on Harry Potter.
The forest is beautiful at night. Everything has a soft, glowing feature. Plants turn pink, purple, and blue...because they're sleeping. The Gurpy's melody is heard all over, and it makes me quite sleepy.
As I'm on the look-out for evil, I smell a delicious odor. It seems to be behind a CandyCorn bush, so I walk over to check it out. To my horror, it's a Death Eater!

If I could be any animal I would be a hyena.

ReplyDeleteI am a cat. However, it would be awesome to be a meerKAT...
ReplyDeleteThe blinding darkness
Is where I can see,
in the midst of the midnight
Thats when I am me.
Amongst the night,
my rivals take life,
and I am afraid
of the creatures of flight.
They may see from overhead
and swoop down low,
Its far too easy
to take me from my hollow.
But I have my colony,
of protection and of love
my colony is my family
my colony is enough.
Oh the warm days
in this barren land,
these hot days
are what I understand.
It can be far too sheltered,
my life inside a hole
I need to get out
I need to explore my world.
So upon a rock is where I sat
just looking out
and being a meerkat.
Today I am a bird.
