Point of view
Today you are your pet. If you don't have a pet, pretend that you do. What is your household like from your pet's point of view? What does your pet think about the people in your house? the activities? the food? the schedule? Write a story where you are your pet and you're thinking about these things.

I am going to be my cat Frankie. The house is always warm. There is a big window in one room where sun comes through. Whenever sun shines on the ground through that window there I am ready to absorb the sun on my thick black hair. Most of my days I find a confortable spot and sleep. I usually don't move unless someone makes me move. There is this dog, but I am not afraid of it. I have numerous cuddle buddies like Lilly and Cody. We snuggles together to take naps. My girl is great! Whenever she comes home I run to her. She can speak my language, we meow back and forth. I love my girl, she pets me, takes care of my furr, and snuggles with me. In reaturn I give her kisses and purr as loud as I possibly can! At night is when the real fun begins. Now that the people are asleep it is time for the other kats and I to start playing. We chase eachother over coaches, counters, stools and tables. Sometimes we hiss, but it's only for fun.
ReplyDeleteI love where I live and I love who I live with!
Frankie
Well I would have to be our dog Rascal. So basically I'm super hyper and don't really settle down, which kind of hints at my name. Most of the time my family is awesome. They take me outside whenever I want to and bring me back in whenever I let out one rediculously loud and obnoxious bark. During the day it gets kind of boring though. Everyone is at work or school, so I wonder the house and torment the cats. If I get bored of that, I go and take a nap in another room where the sun is shining in nicely through the window. But then when everybody comes home, I freak out and run around and get crazy. I love when they are eating dinner cause I run up and eat whatever they drop.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to move around this house. Since I only have one eye, I tend to run into things allot. The only places I really need to get to is the porch and the kitchen table. My family is so nice to me, even though i'm the most spoiled and smelly dog ever. I get so many scraps when I continuously look at the ground during their meals. I enjoy playing with the cat. Its fuzzy and feels weird when I bit it. I love to sleep inside. On occasions I will climb up the stairs and sleep upstairs where i'm not suppose to be. It is a wonderful life in my opinion, eating, running, and sleeping, what more could a dog want.

I don't have a pet, so I'll pretend I was my kitten Oreo from a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI love sitting in the window on top of the couch when the sun shines through. Sometimes I hide in the heating ducts where it's really warm. At night, I sleep in my owner's bed with her, and sometimes I can be a real pain in the butt. I like sleeping on my owner's face and she doesn't like that too much.
I'm going to be by dog Sammy. Everything in my home is so big because I am such a small dog. The people here are pretty nice except when they scold me for doing something wrong, but I don't know any better. I go for a walk daily and bark at anything that moves. I get a treat twice a day with a pill inside to help prevent me from having seizures. The only thing good that come froms me having a seizure is that I get a lot of attention while I am having one. My schedule is basically the same everyday. The only other activity is barking at everything and everyone that comes within a one mile radius of the house.
ReplyDeleteIf I could be any pet I would be a mouse. It would be interesting to see the world from that point of view. Everything would look like its 100 times the normal size. I would be able to sneak around without being seen or heard. The only downfall is when people see me they will try to kill me and set traps with yummy cheese to catch me and then kill me. It would be a sad life as a mouse.
ReplyDeleteI would be Trigger, a black & white Springer Spaniel.
ReplyDeleteI live with Sue & Chuck, and Travis & Breanna. I love being inside the house with the family, and I hate being put in the garage - usually when I'm home alone.
I get SO excited when someone comes home to let me inside the house. My tail is docked, so instead of wagging my tail, I wiggle my whole back end.
Sue likes to sit in the living room recliner. I wiggle my way onto her lap. I know when she's having a bad day and I know just how to make things better. I LOVE TO SNUGGLE! Oh, and Sue is my hook-up for the food. She gives me snacks all the time. Whatever she's eating, all I gotta do is give her the ole' puppy eyes, and BINGO! ;)
Chuck gives me the least amount of attention, but it's nice sometimes. When he's working outside, I'm free to roam the outdoors! I LOVE SQUIRRELS! He says I'm spoiled by Sue a lot. I don't really understand him a whole lot, but I definitely like him anyway. Someday I'll break through this barrier between us. :D
Travis is my owner. He's gone a lot - due to being a police officer and a young man with many friends. But that's alright, because when he's home...we play hard. I LOVE TO PLAY! My favorite times are when we go bird hunting together. I seriously smell a gun miles away and I get so excited. Woo!
Breanna is the most confusing one. She loves to cuddle me, but she's usually the one to start up a playful fight. Then when she starts to lose the fight, she wants me to stop. Basically, she's not fair to me. But oh well. Unlike Sue, she never shares her food with me. It's like she's trying to teach me something...? She's allowed to go in my territories, but I'M not allowed in her room. See? I told ya she's confusing. But she's nice anyway.
My name is Chloe. I'm a mutt with long golden hair and a brilliantly pink tounge. I make odd noises whenever people come home and I pee when I'm excited. My life is relatively simple. I sleep a lot and I often have freakish nightmares. My favorite human is the man with the beard because he always gives me toast. My least favorite human is the girl because she always plays with my ears. I am quite hyper at times. One time, I killed a woodchuck with my large tusk-like teeth and my sharp, dangerous talons.
ReplyDeleteHi. My name is Leo. I am a chocolate Lab/Springer Spaniel. I get really lonely because I am home alone a lot. My owners are always gone. So I get so excited when my owners get home! I jump and yelp and pee on Christina's leg! She doesn't like it very much, so at that point she stops petting me. The mom lets me come in the house in the morning time and I bark to wake everyone up. Christina doesn't like that very much either, but I love Christina! :) I am such an adorable puppy. I am learning how to play fetch! I'm getting better. They are trying to teach me how to NOT jump, but I don't really understand that very well.
ReplyDeleteI am Lulu, the potbelly pig. I share a house with lots of other animals, but there is one other potbelly pig that I always get into fights with. I am happy that I get to sleep in a nice kennel with sleeping bag, but I don't like to get up early. In the morning, I hear to two parrots yelling, so I get up and search for food while two of my humans eat breakfast. Later, these two dogs wake up and one of them licks my face. The other one doesn't like me, so she will sometimes bite my face instead. At lunch my other human moves around in the kitchen and throws food to the tortoises and iguana, but I try to steal some. At night I get woken up sometimes by rats playing in their cages. I love my animal friends and humans and especially my bed, because at the house I used to live at I had to sleep outside.
ReplyDeleteI would be Buster, my 16 year old dog.
ReplyDeleteI spend my days laying on a leaf pile beside the old oak tree in the sun. When my family returns home I am sometimes awakened. I stretch my tired legs and wag my tail. At suppertime I stand outside the door and bark in the hopes of receiving extra scraps. At night I sleep in a pile of straw in the barn.
what strange things I see far away and threw glass. Though I cannot see, I hear the same voices as I did years ago. I have made my way around the pasture well for the past 30 years and now I only have my memories to serve my eyes. I love hearing my voice being called through the wind as I gallop from the sloping hill and greet my friends. As the air cools, I love the taste of the crisp fruits I am rewarded with.Upon the cold days, I have thick hair that I believe is still as white as the winter. Through all the seasons, I share with my companion and other half, Lacey J. Together we run, kick, eat and sleep and together we always will be.
ReplyDelete-told from Caiaa, 30 year old horse.
My name is Smudge. I'm lazy, I must admit. I really like to lay in the blonde girl's windowsill and chatter at all of the birds that come to the feeder. Oh how I wish I could be outside with them. Waiting patiently for them to come close enough so that I can pounce. There was one time when I almost got close enough. I was just about ready to pounce when that dumb, brown mongrel came and scared the lovely Cardinal away. Darn him. About seven o' clock at night is when I like to come alive. My people are home and I love to be pet by them. The blonde one always calls me over and rubs my belly. Then the gray, yippy dog has to come over and ruin it for me. Darn him too. However, at about 9:30 the blonde girl goes to bed and she lets me sleep beside her all night. She scratches my ears until we both finally drift off to sleep. What a life.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Chest, and I am a simple Siamese fighting fish. You all will know me better as the betta fish. I have long, brilliantly colored fins and I am not afraid to show them off to those who come to my owners’ house to take a good look at me. I’m always wandering about my bowl whenever people are near. They are either there to give me food, clean my bowl (they often forget to do that), or just gawk at how gorgeous I am. I am lucky to be one of those fish that have been chosen to live in a home like mine. Life is all betta pellets for me … literally!
ReplyDeleteBut life can be tough for a fish like me at times. Unfortunately I’m not the only pet my owner has, you see. They have this mean, old cat that is always staring at e as if she were going to eat me. Those yellow eyes haunt me in my nightmares when I sleep, which is often because no one else is around during the day. I would go on and describe these terrible nightmares to you, but I am just going to assume that you know exactly what happened in each of them involving that cat. What is even just as scary is waking up from those nightmares to those very same eyes.
I love where I live, I really do. I am really spoiled (this is the only time I will be admitting that), but that is perfectly alright with me. I mean, sometimes I need the extra love as my owners are always running all over the place. There is always a lot of time for me to think about all the ‘what ifs’ like a normal fish would. Lately I’ve been wondering about the world outside my bowl and what it would be like to roam around freely like the cat does. But I do suppose a fish would look a little odd with four legs…

ReplyDeletewell i'll be my dog Teddy Bear. So as i wake up i see grandma comming down the stairs as usual i follow her and get a treat for just being so darn cute then go lay down and wait for everyone to wake up. This morning though mommy was being lazy so i felt the need to join her in her bed and well it woke her up and she was almost late to school. Around this time everyone starts to leave but grandpa is the last to leave and he gives me a treat and sets me loose on the open world. For about several hours a run around chansing squirls and rabbits. Froliking in to corn fields and comunicating with our nieghbors. Then mom comes home fisrt after her day and she lets me inside for dinner and another treat. Well when its there dinner time i feel the need to beg becasue it smells just so amazing and for how adorable i am i get what i want. I lick there plates and get the leftovers al well. The before bed grandpa has a gaint bowl of fluffy goodness. They call it popcon i think. but anyways he throws me a ton of it so i'm full then crawl up with mom in her room and listen to her text all night then go to sleep. That is the usual dad of my little puppie
ReplyDeleteI am my dog Baxter. I love to chew on everything. Especially anything belonging to Aaron Logslett. During the day when no one is home I like to entertain myself by ripping up any kind of paper I can find. After I have scattered paper all over the house, I go garbage diving. Tipping over the garbage can is one of my favorite things to do. After vandalising the entire house, I take a nap. I sleep on my back and snore. When someone comes into the house I bark, no matter who it is. Sometimes I do it just make everyone angry. my favorite part of the day is when my best friend Tippy come in from outside. I really enjoy biting her ears. When I bite her ears she gets mad at me and runs me over. Then she steals my bone. I then go to bed (on my back with my feet in the air) just to do the same things day after day.
