Are you superstitious? Most people have at least one or two superstitions that they adhere to believing. For example: do you fear black cats? the number 13? wear the same socks all sport's season? What are some of your superstitions?

  1. I am not a very superstitious person. I don't take them very seriously, but they are fun to preyend about sometimes. One thing I don't do is open an umbrella in my house, but not because it's bad luck, just because I will probably end up knocking over something delicate, or poking someones eye out.

  2. I am not a very superstitious person however there are a few things that I do not particularily like. After watching the movie "Where the Heart Is", I don't like the number 5. Before we run a cross country race, we always do the same chant in the huddle. If I can I would like to be the number 9 or 29...for some reason whenever i am on a list and my number has a 9 in it I think that it means I will do well or that I will have a good time haha.I can't really think of other circumstances where I believe in superstitious things... :)

  3. I am not a very supersititious person. I do them for fun somtimes though, like wish on 11:11 or upon a shooting star. But no, I don't actually believe in superstitions at all, however, for some reason everytime I look at a clock 33 is on it. I find that a little weird.

  4. I'm not too superstitious but there are some things I do. During a cross country or track season I do not wash my jersey. Some people think it's gross but I really don't sweat in it because I'm only wearing it for a few minutes. If I am picked to be a number, I always want to be a number with a 7 in it, because I think I do better then. I wish upon 11:11 and a shooting star also. Oh! One thing that I really did believe was good luck was a nail polish I wore. It was freshman year I think and when I didn't change my red nail polish we went all the way to State for cross country and won Conference and Sectionals. :)

  5. Well i've never really been superstitious. I do hate black cats by its not out of fear. I have wore the same socks during the softball season becuase it is sapost to help us win but i never really take it to heart. The 13 is my birthday so its never been bad luck for me at all, others around me though is a different story. I do have a four leaf clover necklase but i bought it becuase it looked pretty not becuase it had any good luck power to it.

  6. I'm not really superstitious. Three is my favorite number, but it doesn't give me good luck or anything of that sort. For some reason, though, my family seems to have really bad luck... I won't hold any of my clumsiness due to bad luck. I'm just clumsy. I do, however, blame my recent car accident on bad luck.. ):

  7. Nah I'm not superstitious. But I joke around with knocking on wood the most of all other superstitions.

I don't know if karma is a superstition. If it were, then I am superstitious. I believe in karma, big time.

Otherwise, I generally think that people are born with a certain amount of luck and stuff. I'm average, never having anything spectacular happen. I'm not talented at anything, compared to other people. I never win games (based on chance) either. Duck duck goose...never got to be the goose.

    There's my thoughts.

  8. I have been superstitious in the past, but I have not been for some time now. I used to hold my breathe when we passes graveyards, for whatever the reason was. For a really long time whenever the clock showed an addition or subtraction problem I had to say "time". I dont know why but I felt I had to. Recently I have obtained a necklace that has the left eye of horus on it. It was beleived to keep away evil, so at night I put it on my dresser so the eye is facing upwards to keep away bad dreams. I think some things might actually be true, but no one really knows for shure.

  9. Well I'm not really superstitious at all. It doesn't mean that stuff doesn't happen, but I just don't see it. It seems as if everytime I look at a clock, it is like X:11. Theres always an 11.... weird. But besides that there isn't really anything else like that.

When I was little I used to always hold my breath when we went over bridges, but that was probally just to give something to do on those boring car rides to wherever.

  10. I am not a superstitious person at all. I guess the one thing I used to do was hold my breath when I drove past a graveyard. And I also wish on 11:11. When I was a freshmen, I used to eat the same thing for lunch everyday, and the same thing before running in a meet. This topic reminds me of something I heard this morning.
On the radiio they were talking about ghosts. One man called in and said he woke up one night and there was a ghost baby in his rocking chair. He said it just looked at him and crawled away. But you know what I thought? I thought he was probably just dreaming. The End.

  11. I guess I'm not superstitious. I used to kind of be superstitious, but I never wore the same pair of socks or was afraid of black cats. Strange, but whenever I look at clocks they always seem to be on 11 minutes too. I used to believe in a the "powers" certain stones had and things like that, but otherwise I am not a superstitious person.

  12. For the most part I'm not very superstitious but I do have little traditions that I believe if I wre to change bad luck would follow.

I also make wishes at 11:11 and think its ironic sometimes when I look at the clock and the time is a sequence of numbers, such as 1:23 p.m. or 12:34 p.m. If those few things make me superstitious than I guess I am.

  13. I am not superstitious at all. But it is kind of fun pretending that you are when the mood is just right – like during Halloween. Most of the time, I just joke around with that stuff as some of my relatives are very superstitious. Seeing their reactions is just prices whenever I mention that the number 13 has been popping up everywhere, there’s a black cat that creeps around the house every night, etc. And it is kind of interesting (yet very strange at the same time) knowing that some of them carry lucky charms with them. For example, my great-granddad used to carry a rabbit’s foot in his pocket all the time for good luck. I’m not really sure if having those lucky charms work for them, but whatever floats their boat I guess.

  14. Ahh! I am VERY superstitous! When it comes to sports I have to wear certainlucky things, and I have to put on my socks, ankle braces, and shoes all on in the same order. If I mess up the pattern I gte scared that I am going to have a bad game! Also if I were to say something like "I haven't hit a deer with my car yet" I always have to knock on wood, becuase I don't want to gince myself! I am superstitous thats for sure! :)

  15. I am a very superstitous person! If anything goes right for me with something like a pair of socks, I always have to wair those socks when I want to do good. During basketball I get really bad. I try not to be like that, but I just can't help it. It keeps things very interesting! I don't like being like everyone else.
