Ah, technology. Love it or hate it, it's here to stay. What impact does technology have on your life? Are you a technology freak (have to have the latest gadget) or are you like me and don't even have a cell phone? What piece of technology couldn't you live without? What aspect(s) of technology do you hate? Discuss!

  1. Technology has a moderate impact on my life. I like it, though, because you can do sooo many cool things with just a little device. I think I would really be sad if I didn't have a computer, because then I couldn't watch videos, or play games, or burn music. My favorite portable device would be an ipod/mp3 player. I really love music and woul DIE without it. :) I don't need the latest/newest gadget as long as the one I have works fine. If I had to lose one device I would pick my cellphone, because I don't really use it that much. If I could have one device it would be some sort of game console, like an xbox, or playstation or even gamecube. I REALLY like videogames, but my mom never let me have any when I was little, and don't want to spend my money on one. I just want it to magically appear. Except if I had one, I would never get anything else done...I would be obsessed. :)

  2. Technology doesn't have too much of an impact on my life but definitely a big enough one! I like technology and like learning more about it because eventually I'll be dealing with it for everything! I don't think I could live without my cell phone! In fact, I have had to go like a whole weekend without it and it's awful! I had no way of communicating with anyone and no way to entertain myself when I was bored. I also really like having a computer. I couldn't do anything without one. I couldn't do my homework, go on Facebook, check out colleges (oh man, I wouldn't beable to apply online!) or listen to music on YouTube or something. So yes, technology is a good thing. :)

  3. Technology has a somewhat big impact on my life. I don't have a computer or internet at home, but I can check my facebook on my phone. I don't think I'd be able to live without a cell phone. I think having a computer and internet is a big distraction. You'd be tempted to go on facebook when you need to do your homework. I think I can live without a computer at home, but at school, it's a different story...

  4. I have a sort of love/hate relationship with technology. It's really useful and all, but I'm definitely not smart about how to use it. I noticed that when I go home at night, I'm almost always doing something with technology. I am either on my cell phone talking to someone or texting someone or I'm on the computer doing homework or surfing the web. This summer, when I was gone for three days and didn't have immediate access to a computer, I came home and had tons of e-mails, and I realized how much I depend on technology. On the other hand, I don't have an ipod at the moment because I broke mine and i haven't really missed it because I've just been listening to the radio more. The end.

  5. Technology has a kinda big impact on my life. Not like really big but kinda big. I'm the one in my family that is the most technological. When we get something new that is technological, I'm the one who will hook it up. I have some newer gadgets, but not a lot. There are somethings I could definately live without like video games. I could live without a cell phone for a little while (but not too long). My ipod I couldn't live without for long at all. The computer I could not live without at all. I do homework on it and check grades.

  6. Technology is pretty importnant in my life! I listen to music constantly, and I use my cellphone a lot, plus I go on the computer frequently. I like electronics and technology becuase I am good at figuring that stuff out. Technology is going to consume the world in the distant future, so we all might as well figure it out now. I couldn't go without my cellphone or ipod. Someone recently stole my ipopd, so I can't listen to music which is driving me absolutely bonkers!!! bu anywho! I think that technology is amazing. It is crazy how we can make so many different electronic things!!!

  7. technology has a large impact on everyone's lives and I am an average tech-saavy person. I use the computer a lot! I think that the computer is the most important gadget for me. Computers have everything you could ever need! Cell phones are also very important because that is the only form of phone that I have.

  8. Technology has had a huge impact on my life, and on all of our lives. I always think of when I'm at a bonfire and almost EVERYONE has their cellphone out. I have noticed how much I'm on my laptop (thanks Netflix) and lately I've been on it less and less. I used to always have my cellphone on me, but lately I've accidentally left it at home. I've learned eveything from technology by just trying it out and learning things, and I do admit I am a bit of a technology freak.

  9. Technology as an impact on my life just like it does on everyone else's. I couldn't live without my computer/internet. I wouldn't be able to do half the stuff I do. I pretty much do all of my homework on the computer and once I get into college that's all I will be using for my homework. It would be pretty hard to live without my cellular device also. That's how I communicate with everyone. I like technology a lot. I find it fascinating, all the different stuff you can do with it and on it. I also think flash drives are the craziest things! You can fit SO much stuff on such a little gadget. It's weird, but awesome.
I like playing around with technology. It's fun.

  10. I love technology, but I’m not the kind of person that goes all ‘Oh! I need the *whatever*. It is so cool!’ whenever something brand new and amazing is released. I am happy with what I have, as long as it works. When it comes to what I can’t live without, I have no idea what I would do without any music player. I need to listen to music for a couple hours a day to just chill to, and it just wouldn’t be right without it. Another thing that I wouldn’t be able to live without would be my laptop and the Internet. I am, seriously, addicted to my laptop. If I didn’t mind carrying an extra ten pounds with me wherever I went, my laptop would be there with me. For the Internet, that’d have to be there too. Last week my Internet went down for a few days, and I found that I was so bored without it and had no idea what to do with my time.

  11. When it comes to technologly, I know some here and there. I'm not the smartest guy with a computer or things like that, but I can figure out how to work some electronics if I sit and play around with them for a while. Technology is definitly a part of my everyday life. I can't imagine myself without some music to listen to everyday or my phone whenever I need it. I could live without it, but I probably wouldn't like it very much. I think I could get use to it, but I'm just going to hope that doesn't happen. I can live without video games though. I don't believe I am someone that always needs the new thing, but I like keeping my electronics and things like that somewhat new.

  12. I think technology is really quite amazing. There is so much we can do now days and it makes things very easy for us. I enjoy having technology, but sometimes I think it would be fun to not have any, so we would have more veriety in our lives. There are some people who's lives revolve only around video games and I find that really lazy and unnessisary. I think I could live without allot of things, but I think I would need at least my cell phone, music and my computer for work and things like that. I do not always need the latest things. The only time is if I have a very old model that I can not get any more use out of, then I upgrade it for the newest thing. I think it would be awsome if the entire earth turned off its electronics for a day, and see how much it helps out the atmousphere. We use alot of enerfy and I think it is about time we try to conserve a little more.

  13. Technology has a positive impact on my life. It helps me stay organized and I can write papers much faster by typing rather than handwriting. Typing also increased my hand-eye coordination. :)

I w i s h that I had all the latest gadgets. I dream about it, seriously. But I get by without it. Instead of getting an iPhone, I compromised to a touch-screen Samsung instead. I may desire all the latest stuff, but I can't make myself spend all the money. I'm hoping to get a camera and a Macbook Pro someday. I love editing pictures on Photoshop.

I don't enjoy the aspect of technology that makes it easier for bullies to harrass people. I haven't had problems with this, but I know it happens. Its less confrontational and easier to vent on people through a text or facebook message.

I would NOT be able to live without...my cell phone. Gotta keep mah boyfriennn on check. :D I also enjoy the internet a little too much...secretly.

  14. I love all the advances in technology. I am obsessed with my computer i could not live with out it. my spelling improves so much because of it. I love my cell phone to but if i had to i could go with out it. I don't have to have to the newest thing out there like some of my friends i just wait a year or so and get it when its ten times cheaper. I'm glad with all the new thangs that have come out and am very excited to see what else we can come up with.

  15. Technology is amazing! It's constantly changing and the focas is always moving to something new and more exciting. I love reading Wired Magazine and seeing all the new stuff that is coming out. I definalty don't have all the new stuff, but I love hearing and reading about all of it before most other people have. I also really like learning how all these things work. That is the main reason I am going to go to school for electical engineering. They are the people who design how to get all these things to work.

There are many reasons I like technology so much. I can type a ton faster than I can write so computers make homework very nice. I found a thing on my computer where I can just talk and it will type it. It doesn't work very well, but I'm sure things like that will develop more. Cell phones are also amazing. It is so cool that we can pretty much talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime we want to.

  16. I hate technology when it comers to school work. I love technology when it comes to gadgets. I always like to get new toys and play with them. I don't know what I would do without my phone. I do everything on it. Like blogging. I check my email on my phone as well .
