End of First Quarter

Today is the last day of first quarter. You are 1/4 done with your senior year. How does it feel? Is senioritis hitting you yet? Discuss!

  1. I feel like that quarter went by really fast. I am honestly a little sick of my senior year already, although it has been fun at times. Senior year is supposed to be the year, you have only two classes and the rest are study halls or work release, but the reality is if you want to be accepted into a good school you can't slack off. Besides all that there isn't much else to say about senior year. It just is. Maybe it will get better...

  2. Senior year has been good so far. It doesn't seem like a whole quarter should be done yet! But I'm kind of glad that it is. And I don't think I have senioritis quite yet. It will probably hit me after Christmas. There is a lot more homework than I've had previous years. I am glad I have two studyhalls. The End.

  3. Senior year has been tough. I find myself procrastinating often, mostly about reading my books for English. I am not a huge book reader, so it is harder for me to push myself to read when I have free time. So far senior yeatr has been a bit stressful, but at times, pretty fun. I'm hoping all of these college prep classes will actually prepare me for college! I am super happy that the 1st quarter is almost done! Only 3 more to go! WHOO. Oh and after volleyball ended it hit me a bit that I was a senior, but it probably won't fully hit me until we actually graduate! :)

  4. This quarter flew by! I don't feel like a senior yet though. After cross country state it kind of hit me that that was it but I don't think it fully hit me. After track is over then I think I'll be really sad.:(
Oh man.. and after we graduate and have to come to school for sports it will definitely be weird! Senoritis hasn't kicked in yet for me. I think it is because I'm so paranoid at getting bad grades and then then St. Mary's will reject me:( I doubt that would happen but it still makes me nervous! Alright that's all I have to say. Three quarters to go! :)

  5. It's funny that you mentioned the whole senior year thing, because I was just talking to my friend about that last night. She asked me how my senior year was going, to which I responded that I just want to graduate already. I think I'm beginning to feel the senioritis, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. With four out of five classes weighted, the homework isn't as bad as I had expected and I actually have some free time to do things I enjoy doing, like reading fun books. Right now I'm reading Dear John on the kindle I checked out from the Menomonie library yesterday. I'm almost half way through and I just started it last night! I'm really glad that I have two study halls to get homework done in, and in my comp apps class I'm way ahead, so it's basically another study hall until monday. All in all, I'm glad that the first quarter is over with and I'm excited for Christmas break to be here. (:

  6. 25% done. That seems really strange. It feels like we just got back, but really we are nearing the end of school, forever. When you think about it, since we get out a few weeeks earlier then everyone else, we are more like 33% done. I think it will be sad when we finally leave. This school has been our second home basically for so many years. We know it like the backs of our hand, except for the roof and the underground tunnels which I still want to see before I go. This year I have alot less homework than I used to have, so I feel like I have senioritis, but I am still doing all my work and getting it in on time. I cannot wait to go to college and learn all new things, but I am going to miss this place.

  7. It is really hard to believe that the quarter is done. It went really fast. I'm not really slacking off, but I'm getting really bored. The only classes I do anything in are calc and english. The rest, it seems like we just sit there and have work days all the time. I don't really have senioritis. I don't mind doing the work we get, but I hate sitting in all these classes when we don't do much of anything at all. It just seems pointless to sit there. But oh well, we're a quarter done!

  8. First quarter flew by! like it always does. The fall season always flies by. It's the winter season and quarters that draggggg on and on. I am happy that first quarter is done; this past week has been pretty stressful. I had a lot of accounting work to get caught up on, but I just finished it! Woofta. Senioritis has not kicked in yet for me. I am still enjoying my senior year. It has been pretty fun so far. I love the fact I get to sleep in everyday! I got up at 6:30 today to come to school early to study for English and oh man, I don't know how I did that the past 3 years. Dang. I'm not a morning person. I think senioritis is going to kick in come January. That's when homework gets tough, the weather gets nasty, and dance gets intense! Yikes.
Well, I have three classes left of first quarter, meaning I have three test left of first quarter and then I am DONE! I can't wait for the weekend and for the clock to hit 3:10!

  9. I felt stressed that the end of the quarter was coming, but now that it's come...I couldn't care less. Senioritis hit me at the beginning of the year and it's done now. I'm just going with the flow.

It's nice that I'm 1/4 of the way done with school. I feel somewhat accomplished. But it sickens me when I think I have a whole 3/4 left of school to go.

    Anyway yeah. That's my feelings.

  10. Honestly this year has felt just like any another school year has. I don't feel any different than I have in the past. I'm sure when basketball gets here it will hit me some that this is my last year in this building, but as of now I can't say I feel like that.

This year I have had to handle stress a lot better than in years past. I have had a much bigger share of it and if I wouldn't handle it with some ease I think I would have gone crazy by now. I think all of this new learning I have had to do has helped the time fly by even faster! It keeps me busy enough to not complain about not having anything to do.

  11. Seniorits hit me at the beginning of last year. I have absolutely no drive to do anything whatsoever. I don't think this is a good thing. I feel like I should do more homework less playing video games or basketball. But I know that will never happened. I think second quarter after I drop Social Problems, everything should get easier.

  12. Senioritis is hitting me hard this year. I don't want to do anything i just feel like it should be over with by now. Its just crazy i thought the seniors last year were making it up but no its really and i have a feeling its only going to get worse as the year goes on. I really can't believe that this is our last year here i mean i don't want to leave. I hate all the homework i get but i love being here its not going to be the same once i graduate. I don't know its really hard to explain but this is just a place i feel confortable at and leaving is going to be hard. Also leaving all my firneds behind is something i don't want to do. I am looking forward to the rest of the year and making the most of it but it will be tough for me.

  13. wow! Yeah I really don't like senior year at all. It is fun being the oldest and stuff but I really don't feel any different than the other years. I am sooo ready to be done with schoolwork and just have a fun year, but I have to stick it out. It is really easy for me to just get frustrated this year because it is my last year and I am so bored with school and frustrated that I have homework alllll the time. I have the hardest classes I have ever had and that is what makes it so difficult. Now if I had just a couple of classes, senior year would be awesome!

  14. Senioritis started hitting me mid-summer. My online Psychology class is killing me and I can't wait to be done with it. Otherwise, my actual high school classes aren't that bad, and I think that if I wasn't in online psychology is would be ten times easier. I am excited that first semester is almost finished and so I can relax a little during second semester.

  15. I’m definitely feeling some senioritis. Ever since school started, I have been procrastinating in a lot of my classes (the ones that I didn’t really need to take, anyway) and wishing that it was still summer. It is strange thinking about how a fourth of the school year is already done and that, when May comes, we’ll no longer be high school students. It is a little strange as it seemed we just started high school. I am ready to leave the school, but not all of my friends. If only I could make our ‘plan’ work and be able to actually hide them all in my college dorm room.

  16. Senioritis hit me about July. I really don't like doing homework. procrastination is becoming the main enemy of my year. No matter how much time I have to do my homewoks, I can't seem to do my work. I wait until the last possible second to do my home work. I should probably stat doing my work right away.
