What are some of your pet peeves? (Things that drive you absolutely crazy.) I have several, but I think that my biggest pet peeve is when people can't take responsibility for their actions. I just want to say, "You made a mistake, 'fess up, and take the consequences." It really irks me when they blame other people for what was obviously their mistake. My "favorite" was the student who blamed ME because HE got caught plagiarizing. He actually said to me, "Well, you shouldn't have been looking for it." !!!!

So, you get the idea ~ vent about your pet peeves today.

  1. I don't know if this is a pet peeve really, but I don't like it when people are mean. Not just to mean, but to anyone. It also really ticks me off when people are ignorant about something, and they say something stupid in a mean way. It just makes them look like an idiot. I also hate it when people lie to you face. It usually isn't that hard to tell when someone is lying, because most people are terrible liars, so just tell me the truth.

  2. My biggest pet-peeve is when people are talking when I am trying to read. I don't like to read in the first place, but when I do read it has to be completely silent or I can't concentrait on what I am reading. Another pet-peeve is when people don't take certain situations seriously, like a big game when we are trying to concentrait and then there are a few players in the back of the huddle laughing, that really ticks me off. but there ya go!

  3. My biggest pet peeve is when people do certain things only half way. What is the point of doing something if you are not going to give it your best. It just doesn't make sense to me. I also can't stand when I will just be sitting there talking and someone tells me to calm down when I havent't even raised my voice. It just puts me over the edge and to start off I wasn't even there! Why would you tell someone to calm down if they are not even mad. Anyway, my last one is people being loud when I want to read. I need it quiet when I'm reading. I don't know why I just do. Those would have to be my main ones.

  4. Hmmm..I don't really know what my pet-peeves are. I guess I have never really thought of them before. I would definitely have to agree with Tom and Jenni though, I can't stand it when people are talking and I am trying to read. I need silence when I'm reading. I actually just thought of a list of them. I can’t stand noisy eaters. It’s disgusting when people who don't wash their hands after they go to the bathroom. It's not that hard to wash your hands! A few others are: people that don't perform their duties at work, when people throw their gum on the floor, parents that don’t take care of their bratty children, people who say, "Goddamnit" or "Jesus Christ,” sick people who cough near me, people who smoke around me and ESPECIALLY women who smoke or drink when they’re pregnant. I find it also very annoying when someone is standing over the computer reading my computer screen; especially my mom. I would have to say my BIGGEST pet peeve is when someone always thinks they’re right! Oh man, I can’t stand that. Then if they say “I am always right.” No, no one is always right. I don’t have a problem admitting I’m wrong when I know I am. It’s annoying when people can’t admit they’re wrong.

  5. My biggest pet peeve is when someone purposely acts stupid to draw attention to themselves. It doesn't make any sense! Yeah people will probably pay attention to you then, but more than likely they will call you stupid behind your back. I also don't like when you're trying to be serious about something and people find a way to criticize you. They make a joke or laugh at you and your 100% serious about that thing. Another thing is when your talking to someone about something that is important and someone comes up and acts immature and tries to distract the other person. It's more than likely because they are jealous that they are not getting the attention, but it's soo annoying! And when people try to make you feel stupid! That really upsets me! It's always fun to prove them wrong though. :)

  6. I really do not like it when there is someone doing something to get your attention and you know they are trying, because they keep looking at you to see if you are watching. I also do not like it when someone asks you to watch them do something, but they keep looking over to see if you actually are, which I am and it annoys me. Another peeve would be someone interupting me in the middle of a story I am trying to tell. You cannot really restart the story, because you feel awkward and are just mad for being interupted. One thing I absolutly hate the most, is probably when someone accidently bumps into you or hits you. It is alright when this happens it is no big deal. Most of the time it does not hurt at all. But this is not what bothers me. What bothers me is after they accidently hit you, they appoligize in a snotty almost like its your fault you got hit in the face with a stick sort of way! Those are a few of mine, but seriously, I cannot stand an apology that does not sound like the person actually means it.

  7. How about I just make a list? Haha.

    1. Shuffling feet when walking.
    2. Chewing with mouth open.
    3. Blocking middle of hallway to flirt.
    4. People scratching jeans with nails.
    5. Touching silk, felt, and yarn.
    6. People who don't know to order at drive thru speaker, NOT the window.
    7. The word "whatever."
    8. Ten of the SAME pictures on Facebook.
    9. When I see two friends together in public, and they look EXACTLY the same (artifically on purpose.)
    10. When people complain about their test scores...and mine is worse but they're just whiners.
    11. When EVERYONE asks about my future plans when they see me. I'm sick of it. Plus I don't know what I wanna do.
    12. That I still have to have my parents write me notes for school when I'm an 18 year old adult.
    13. People don't listen when I talk. I have no voice in anything.

That's all I have time for.

  8. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people think that they are right all the time when they usually are wrong. I know a few people who are like that, and it is really frustrating when they say “No. I’m right. You’re just being stupid.” about something that they know nothing about. Another pet peeve of mine is when people are being really immature when we’re in the middle of class. Nearly every day I have to put up with people like that in one of my morning classes because they think that the class is all about them rather than what we are learning. Sure, they can be funny every now and then. However, their daily ‘show’ gets old very quick. There are a few reasons why I took the class, and having to put up with them definitely isn’t one of them.

  9. One thing that really bugs me is when someone has to argue about everything. I don't really care when people do it every now and then or actually have a decent point, but I hate it when someone always questions something or tries to prove it something wrong when it is right. It doesn't matter if its to me or someone else. I just don't like it when those people think they know more than their teachers or whoever else they might be arguing with.

I also find it annoying when people won't stop talking during class. Again, some talking is fine, but when its just a few people who won't stop, it gets really irratating.

  10. My biggest pet peeve is when people get angry about ANYTHING. They just look for an excuse to be mad, and then they expect you to sympathize with them. Aarg! Or when people want you to feel bad for them when they make a mistake. That really gets to me becuase they made the mistake and they need to deal with it because it was their fault. I guess that's just taking responsibility for one's own actions. Another thing I can't stand is when people talk all the time about nothing. Like some of my relatives could talk all day and all night if they could stay awake that long. And most of it is about stuff that doesn't even matter! Sometimes its funny...but mostly it's not. Also, I hate when people take advantage of things or are lazy. Laziness is annoying to me because it is an extraordinary waste of time and it won't get anybody anywhere!
Wow I think I needed to vent today. :)The End.

  11. My biggest pet peeve has got to be when people interupt you. Lik when your haveing a conversation with someone else and then they just feel the need to put there qord in. It just drives me up a wall. I also don't like it when people tell you to do something and then they don't do it themselves. Like my dad will tell me to put things away and don't leave things on the table but he does it and its ok, and my mom tells me to keep my room clean and don't put clothes on the floor , yet her room is worse than mine. There just the few things i really can't stand at all.

  13. Well, I do have a few pet peeves. I hate when people are disrespectful and ignorant. I equally hate when people pretend they are too cool to do things. I also hate it when people aren't able to make decisions for themselves and just copy everyone around them.

I hate lisps, and I know it may sound mean, but I can't stand it.
I hate when my family opens the microwave before it's done and they don't clear the amount of seconds left.
Interruption is another one of my pet peeves in my family. We all do it, and we all get mad at eachother for it.
Well, I suppose I could go on and on, and I'll probably think of some good ones later.
