This post comes from the creative mind of Breanna Lotts :-)

If you could invent something, what would you invent? What would this invention do? Who would use it? How would it affect the world?

  1. If I invented something it would be a little chip that you could put in your ear so that you can read people's minds. That would be soo cool!! Anyone could use this little chip and it would be so handy. If someone won't tell you something, you could just read their mind and you'd know. I'd always like to know what my friends and aquaintences think of me. It would also help with protecting our country against terrorists. We could read the minds of the people we suspect of being terrorists and stop them before they do anything if they were going to. We would probably be able to find out where Bin Laden? is hiding! It could end the war!

Yep, my invention would be sweeeeet! :)

  2. I would invent a cure for cancer and for aids. This would be helpful to those with cancer and with Aids. It would especially help people in Africa. It would impact the world in a very positive way. It would be epic. The End.

  3. I would cure something for people who are paralyzed, so they could walk again. That way they would never have to suffer. Or I would invent something where there would never be any car accidents. That's not very realistic though. Anyway, the end.

  4. I would invent a machine that fixes cavities and does root canals and teeth checkups without having to shove a bunch of stuff in your throat. It wouldn't hurt at all. No one would ever have to be afraid to visit the dentist and poorer villages would be able to afford it.

  5. I would invent a gadget that could do allow you to do WHATEVER you wanted! For instance...you would say "Gadget______,(name of gadget goes here), take me to Helsinki!" Or "Gadget______, fix my cavity!" or "Gadget_______, make me understand what the teacher is talking about!" "Gadget_____, cure his cancer!" How useful!

  6. This is a really good post. There are so many things that I would like to invent. One thing that I would love to invent, and has the capability of being invented, is a pair of glasses, or contacts, that identify anything and everything you look at. You could identify a person at the blink of any eye and find out who they are or where they came from. It sounds a little creeperish, but it could have its benefits. You could identify birds, trees, rocks, and even weather currents with ease.
An invention, that has a little bit less chance of being built that would be the ultimate invention, would be a interplanetary drive, that enabled us to travel out of our solar system and across the galaxy. That would be amazing :D

  7. I would invent teleportation. It would REALLY solve a lot of problems. There would be no further need for vehicles (sorry dad, hopefully by this time you're retired). Obviously people wouldn't be able to use it all the time because then they would just get lazy, but instead of getting in your car or getting on a plane POOF, you're where you want to be.

  8. Okay so you know how there are soo many technologies we all have at home, and each of them have their separate cord!? Well I would invent one cord for all! This cord would be jelly-like at the tip so it could mold into whatever plug-in thing you need. Finding all of those different cords is such a hassle. Therefore this invention would save a lot of time and could potentionally save money too. I think that everyone in the world would use it, and if you trevelled across seas you wouldn't have to buy the foreign plug-ins. I believe if someone created this invention, it would be a HUGE hit! :)

  9. Hahahaha, I feel special that my name is in this blog.

Anyway, I would invent many things...it's so hard to choose only one. But at the moment, I wish one invention was real today. I got this idea from Athur, from PBS. I wish there was a disk that when it was played, it sent waves through the air in the classroom that sent messages to the brain. So instead of studying for hours on end trying to understand and learn, we knew everything in a matter of seconds or minutes. Information overload. It would help me SO much right now. Actually, I think it would help everyone in the world. We would know almost everything. No matter if a person was deaf or blind, they would be able to learn just as easily if they weren't handicapped.

  11. One thing that would be awesome to invent would be something to help you find your phone. Many people will lose their phone and then have no idea where to start. Most phones have gps anyway.

It would be cool if there was a way to just hop online and a map would come up and show where your phone is. Then you could zoom in and see which room of your house it's in. That would be so great and save me a ton of time.

  12. If I could invent anything I think it would be like auto pilot in a car! It would not be called that, but I would have this button put in a car and once you push it the car drives for you. The care would see everything around you and knowing all the right aways and everything! I think this could really help all those sleepy drivers out there at night and day a lot! I would love something like this!

  13. After having to shovel all of the snow off the roof today, I'd want to invent something that'd get rid of the snow itself within a couple of minutes. It'd be something like a mini-snow blower, but I wouldn't have to do any of the work (except push a button). Or I'd figure out how to do the whole teleportation thing, like how wizards and witches apparate in Harry Potter. Only thing that would have to be changed about that is feeling like you have to throw up after getting to your destination. I'd totally want to go to Florida for a few months and escape the winter weather!
