Are you a routine person? Do you like to do the same things at the same time every day? What are your routines? What happens when your routine gets disrupted? If you are not a routine person, explain how that works for you.

  1. I am and I am not a routine person. In the morning to get ready for school I follow the routine of: wash my hair, wash my face, do my make up, get dressed, blow dry and straighten my hair, then eat breakfast. I guess when I feed the animals I follow a routine or order in how I feed them and when. When I get home from practice it's pretty much just what I feel like doing and when, I don't have anything that I do at certain times before bed. I guess when my usual routines get messed up I kinda get all jumbled up and annoyed. Like in the morning when I can't do something at the time I want it sorta throws me off. Otherwise it doesn't effect me too much when things don't go as planned I guess. So yeah. :)

  2. In the morning I follow a routine. I get up, eat, get dressed, and then run around in a frenzy trying to grab everything I need and finish whatever else has to be done before I go to school. I am a chronic procrastinator and tend to manage my time poorly and leave everything to the last minute. I wish I didn't do this. It causes unnecessary amounts of stress. Other than in the morning I don't really follow any routines, which I kinda like, because I hate doing the same thing at the same time, day after day. It can get quite boring.

  3. I have certain routines for certain things that I do. Like getting ready for bed or getting ready in the morning, but also for what I do when I go running and what I eat for breakfast. But I don't have routines for much else. I guess my life is kind of a routine right now because all my weekdays are full of school and basketball, but I do not necessarily like this routine. I think I want a job where I can do something different everyday because repitition is redundant if somewhat comforting at times.

  5. I have a really strange sleeping routine I suppose. When I turn my alarm on for the next morning, I always play the radio to make sure that the volume and speakers work, then I push stop (If it doesn't stop the first time I push it, I feel like its bad luck!), then I turn off my light and turn on my fan. I sleep with a pillow under my head, over my head (covering my ears and face), and between my knees. If I get up in the middle of the night, I always roll over to the opposite side that I left the bed in.

  6. My routine is get up, go to school, which all my classes are in the same order each day. At lunch I eat, then go down to the senior hallway. Then the rest of the day goes by in the same way. After school I take the dog out for a walk and feed him. Around five o'clock we have dinner. Depending on the day I may do my homework, or go to a basketball game around six. I then go onto my computer, and depending how tired I am, I will go to bed around ten to midnight. I do not normaly stick to a scheduale, but I do do a few things in the same fashion. I normally do things at my own pace, but still stay on task and get everything done.

  7. I'm not really a routine kind of person, but I feel like I have OCD most of the time. When I wake up, I get my clothes together, go into the bathroom, turn the shower on, wash my hair, rinse, condition, wash my body and face, then rinse the conditioner out of my hair. I have to dry off the exact same way everytime I get out of the shower. Then I do my hair, make up, and brush my teeth. I go to school, then leave after seventh hour. When I leave, I either go home or to my grandma's house and spend time with her. Since the new year began, I started working out. So if I don't work out now, I feel weird. Before I go to bed, I work out for half an hour, then read for an hour or so. Then I go to bed.

  8. I am not really a routine kind of person. I have certain routines I follow, I suppose. Like when I take a shower and when I eat. Other than that, not really. Actually, right now in my life I have a routine that I have to follow and that is get up, go to school, go to dance, come home, eat, do homework, and go to bed. I don't know, I have routines, but if if they get messed up I don't really care.

  9. Ha. I'm a routine-oriented person. I like rules and I like structure. I've never been told what to do or diciplined, so I do it to myself. I wake up in the morning for school and text Sean good morning. I allow five minutes to get into the kitchen for breakfast, shower, do make up while my hair dries, then do my hair, then start my car, then get dressed, then pack everything I need. At school I basically follow the routine that gets my work done...it's usually different depending on how busy I am. I set my alarm on my phone for everything - like work, when I need to leave a friend's house, when I need to remind myself of something, when I need to tell someone else something...etc. (maybe you can see how paranoid I am that I will be late/forget something). I love to use calendars of all sorts. I feel so good when I cross off each day on the calendar. I don't know why though...maybe I'm just looking forward to moving on and being done with high school. Every night at dance, I organize my binder of paperwork and make sure my checkbook is written in for everything I spent. Then I take my notebook of lists I make. My lists contain things like "things to do" "things to buy" "things to remember"...etc. Then I call Sean right before I go to bed, and my day starts all over again.

  10. When there is school, I am a routine person. Every morning I get up at around 7am and get ready for school. The school day is always repetitive, with the classes being the same each day. After school is done, I go home and watch some TV or go on FB. At around 5pm, I eat dinner and then start on my homework. How long I spend doing homework varies, so I guess that messes up my routine a bit. If I have homework for two classes or so, I’m usually done with that by 7pm. For the rest of the night, I watch some more TV, surf the net, or read. Then I go to bed at around 11pm. During the summer, my “school routine” is thrown out the window. I do whatever I want when I want (for the most part). So it doesn’t really bother me if my routine gets disrupted.

  11. In the morning I have a routine. I wake up and shower. Then I get dressed and put my contacts in. Then I go brush my teeth and then head out for school. And school is pretty much the same everyday. Then I go to work and come home around 5:30. I go upstairs and change and then go back downstairs and get on facebook or whatever else I can think of on my laptop while the news is on the tv in the backround. Then its dinner and after that I just do whatever I want for the rest of the night.

  12. On a school day, I usually have a routine. In the morning at least. I get up, put my contacts in, take a shower, get dressed, eat something, brush my teeth and then go to school. The only reason my routine would be interuppted is if my sister gets up before me and gets in the shower before me and takes a really long time. If there is another reason why my routine gets disrupted is if I sleep in too late. School is definately a routine because you have the same classes every day. After school and the evening varies from day to day. It all depends on when we eat supper, how much homework I have and if we go anywhere that evening.

  13. I am a routine person when it comes to certain things. In the shower I have a routine. Shampoo and shave armpits, conditioner and shave legs and wash face. :) When it comes to sports I also do alot of routine things. I put my socks ankle braces, shoes, jerseys, all on in a specific way. :)

  14. I guess I do have a general routine. Since I have all morning to stay at home I usually have a cup of coffee first. And then it's eating, getting ready, putting my stuff together, and heading out the door. But if I'm ever running late or need to get something done quickly I make lists in my head of what I will do first and plan everything out. Other than that my whole day isn't planned out.

  15. I dont usually have a routine. Even when it comes to getting up in the morning for school. Some days I'll get up at 7 then the next day I won't get up until 7:20. Other mornings I'll decided to get up at 6:30 to make myself an omlet. I am not a big believer on a structured routine. The only routine i have is when i get dressed for a basketball game. I dress in layers. I start with my shorts, then my jersey, then my warm-up pants, then my warm-up jersey. I don't think I've ever changed it.

  16. The only time I have a routine is in the morning. I would hardly call it a routine. My routine in the morning consists of taking a shower brushing my teeth and leaving for school. Other than that I have no routines.

But When I button up my baseball jersey I have to start with the middle button and go down to the bottom button. Then I do the remaining buttons.

  17. I have the same routine every gameday. So I do not know if you would call it a routine or being supersticious. I always eat the same food and get ready the same way every gameday though. Besides that, I do not notice much if I repeat myself a lot. It does not really matter to me. I'm not gonna be mad in the morning if I eat first instead of taking a shower first. I could care less about stuff like that. I do have a routine for when I put on my basketball stuff though. I forgot about that one!
