What has been the most rewarding extra curricular activity in which you've participated? Why did you like the activity? What did you learn? How do you think participating in this activity is going to impact your future?
The most rewarding extra curricular activity for me,is being in the musicals. The first one I did was my 7th grade year, and I am so glad I have been doing it since tthen. Before doing them, I was really scared to be infront of people. Doing the musicals have helped me completely over come my fear of public speaking and being infront of people. Because I am not scared to be in front of people, it will help me in the future in everything I do, including work and being comfortable in anything that involves speaking infront of people.
ReplyDeleteMy most rewarding activity is orchestra/ playing the violin in general. It's a very difficult instrument to master, and the challenge is fun. Besides proficiency on the instrument itself and knowledge of music in general, I've learned perserverance and good study habits. I've also met a lot of my best friends through music. I feel that music will continue to help me develop these traits and make new friends, in addition to becoming more and more of a creative outlet as I master the skills necessary to be more expressive in my playing.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many to choose from, so i can't really pick just one. FCA has been really rewarding because I have really learned to become a leader. I have also met lots of great friends through it. The musical has also been a very big one for me. Even though I haven't technically been "in" the musical, I have really learned a lot from being on the tech crew. Finally, I have grown so much both physically and in friendships through Track and Cross Country.
ReplyDeleteMy most rewarding extra curricular activity would have to be basketball. Basketball is my favorite sport and I love to play the game. I could play basketball every day of my life and be really happy. Having played the sport for many years, I learned how to become a great teammate, how to appreciate and respect others and how to have fun with people a little different from me. Basketball is a team sport and if I didn't learn to play with the team, I would struggle imensely. I think basketball is going to impact my future in many ways. It helps my strive to make new friends and go to new places. I hope to play in college so I can have the privelage of meeting more people and so I can keep enjoying the game.
ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding extra curricular activity i've participated in would be Dance. A lot of people get the wrong idea when they think of a "high school dance team". Starting off as someone who had no dance experience and going in to a competing team is very difficult. However, i believe dance has helped me gain self motivation. I have had to push myself very hard to get to the place that i am today. I would hope to somehow dance out of high school still. I would make that decision not only because it has impacted my life so dramatically, but also because i love doing it.
ReplyDeleteMy most rewarding extracurricular activity would defenitly be FBLA. I have been able to be involved in so many things and meet so many new people. I have been to state 3 years in a row and have gotten to participate in different meetings and conferences. We do community service alot and that has been fun. I hope to go to FBLA state competitions again this year.
ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding activity that I participate in is cheerleading.I love being a cheerleader! I get to show my school spirit at every game! I much rather lead the crowd in cheers then sit in the stands. I've learned a lot being a cheerleader. One thing I've learned and implied to my team mates is respect each other. I've learned to listen and watch what I say. Everyone has bad days, but no matter what your feeling you have to respect your team mates and listen to them as they speak. I have gained leadership skills from being the captain of the Colfax cheer squad. I can imply my leadership skills in the future to any job I may enquire.
ReplyDeleteI would say the most rewarding activity that I have been in would be cheerleading. Being in cheerleading taught me what it was like to be on a team. Being in cheerleading will not really help me in the future but it was fun while it lasted. Cheerleading gave me the chance to be loud and I loved it! :)
ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding activity for me has been football for sure. I love football because I've been around it my whole life. I was a football waterboy for a long time and I think thats when I started to really love the game. The discipline of football has helped me on and off the field and will help me in my future as well. It might also impact my future because I might play in college.

Riding Hunter/Jumper in A circuit would be my most rewarding extracurricular activity. I was at first inclined to say playing the piano has been the most rewarding, but then I remembered that more than anything that has just made me frustrated. Going into the top showing circuit in the country my first year was the most challenging experience I have ever had. It is a sport that takes so much dedication and it presents a huge responsibility. There is so much preparation before a show involving both the horse and the rider and most of the people riding on the circuit are rich enough to hire someone to do everything for them besides ride. It is a good feeling when you can compete and win against people who spent $250,000 to buy their horse.
ReplyDeleteMy most rewarding activity that I have participated in was when I helped out the glider club. I liked it because, they let me work with the glider and even go for a flight with it in the end. When I helped them, I had learned how to handle the craft, how it was launched, and what all of the parts on it were for.I think that it impacts my future by helping me find a career that I will one day be in.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my most rewarding activity has been cross country. I ran cross country for three years but had to quit because I have scoliosis. I loved being a part of the team because it was a way for me to meet great people. I stayed in great shape and I always had alot of fun. I met some of the most amazing people and learned alot of lessons I will never forget. I miss it alot.
ReplyDeleteSports are my most rewarding extra curricular activities. Not only do I love volleyball and track as a sport I also love the feeling after a good workout, it is priceless. Knowing that the hard work and time I put in made me the athlete I am today is an amazing feeling. Being in sports will help me in the future because it has taught me how to work with others and how to deal with certain situations. Sports have also made me a very dedicated and hardworking person because nothing comes easily. You have to work for everything and when you reach that "everything" it is an amazing feeling!
ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding activity I've been apart of is football for sure. In football, I got a chance to play with and hang out with some kids that I never would have talked to much if I wasn't in football. I Learned how to work with many guys together as a team. I learned how to handle success and cope with failure. The memories I have from football will last a life time. Basketball was a close second to football because of everything Coach Meade taught me.
ReplyDeleteMy most rewarding extra curricular activity has probably been Science Club. Mostly because it has let me do, and go to, lots of fun things. We've gotten to go to many things like the planetarium, and the environmental sight, and things like that. Not only do we get to learn at these places, but we also get to have fun.
ReplyDeleteFBLA has been the most rewarding extra curricular activity that I have been involved in. I've been in it the past two years and this past year i was an officer. There are many things I enjoy about FBLA. All of our trips and competitions have been super fun with my friends. I will never forget out state experiences. FBLA will help me in the future with leadership skills and also organization skills. Throughout FBLA, there are many things to learn every year about other schools, fundraisers, or even competitions that you may have not known the year before. It's a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference.
ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding extra curricular activity that I have been involved in is FFA. There are so many different workshops to participate in and you get to meet from all around the U.S. The National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana was by far the best part of FFA I've participated in. It was so great to see all the FFA members from all around our area ride down together and spend the next four days meeting kids from all around the country. This has impacted my future because I am more comfortable talking and meeting new people.
