Last night I went to bed with the feeling I was coming down with a cold and when I woke up this morning I felt cruddy. I think it's the weather! I feel achy every where and have the chills. Actually the more I think about it, it's probably because I haven't got much sleep due to the immense amounts of homework I have been getting! Well any way I'm off to my college class, bright eyed and bushy tailed. I hope i don't annoy people too much with my sniffles and nose blowing. I would rather stay in bed. Oh and I'm scared that I'm going to get docked points on my book review because I don't have words of the day in it because we turned them in Friday! :( Take it easy on me Mrs. Myer's! ha
I've been discovering a lot of really good music recently. Apart from the release of the newest Blink-182 album (insert hyperventilation here) I've stumbled across the Avett Brothers' "Head Full of Wonder" and Oasis' "Wonderwall" and I can't/ do not want to get either of them out of my head. I have been listening to Saint Saens' Concerto No. 3 as well. Thanks to Jennifer, I developed a great liking for Swedish techno, although I don't know what any of the songs or artists are called because I cannot pronounce any of the names I hear. I really like dubstep as well. It has a heavier beat in general but, thanks to dubstep's generally rapid tempi, it doesn't sound weighed down or sluggish-- just more intense.
My weekend was very busy! Saturday we had a cross country meet in Duluth. I didn't do as good as I was hoping to do, but it was still really fun. That is one of my favorite courses. It is really hilly, but some of the downhills are really long and steep. After church on Sunday I spent most of the day working on my book review. I had trouble not retailing the story, but I think inthe end I did okay. I don't have any words of the day in it though because Mrs. Myers took our notebooks again!
Saturday morning I showed at a extremely large rabbit show. There were about 200 rabbits from all across the state and also Minnesota. I got my first rabbit when I was six, and have had them since. I have about 20 rabbits right now, but only brought 7 to the show because every rabbit I entered was $5. After several hours, I had three rabbits qualify for Grand Champion. I brought all three to the judging table and the judge started the elimination process. Slowly two of my three rabbits were eliminated, until there was only one other rabbit and mine. The judge got on the load speaker and announced "Grand is going to the Florida White-Shown by Meghan Lieffort" I was ecstatic! I beat over 200 rabbits from across the state, and almost all the other owners were adults! Even thought winning is not everything, once in while its nice! :)
Last night, I was looking for a kindergarten picture with my mom. We found boxes and boxes full of my childhood things. After we moved, we haven't payed much attention to those things and it was really fun to find them. My mom and I were laughing so hard at the pictures that we started crying. It was a lot of fun! I love finding those things and trying to remember all of it. It makes me somewhat sad to think that I am all grown up now, but on the other hand really exciting.
I pre-ordered Dessa's new cd and book off of the internet a long time ago. It got shipped out last friday so I figured it would definitely be here today. I spent all day thinking about coming home and listening to the cd. I started to get really antsy on the bus and when I finally arrived home, I ran to the mailbox. Slowly, I opened the door and...it was not there. Great.
I had a busy weekend. In between working on assignments and visiting places, I could use another weekend after this one. Even though I was tired over the weekend, I woke up earlier than normal each day. After all the running around I did and opportunities in between, I worked on Hausaufgaben, Hausaufgaben, and more homework. At least it is finished for now.
Yeah still sick. I hope the blog is going to work for me this time just deleted my last entry. Sorry for not blogging thursday I coulnt figure it out. Sooo sitting at my dining room table crossing my fingers that this blog will work waiting for CASTLE!!!! Love that show. So I am going to curl up on the couch with some hot chocolate and watch my favorite show with my fam then off to bed to get this sick girl some rest!!!
Well I don't have too much on my mind. It was nice to get a win on homecoming last Friday. It was awesome to have everyone there and pull a win out. I'm gonna miss being on that field. Since second grade, Hayden and I have basically lived on that field. Both of us have seen a lot of seniors play their final games on that field, it almost seems surreal that it is our turn so say goodbye to the place that gave us so many memories. I remember one time after a game, my mom was really mad at me. It was back when Hayden and I were young and during the game, we were spraying water at each other and chasing eachother. Today, we all laugh about it but it wasn't so funny at the time. These are the moments I will remember for a long time. I can still see the vision of the field the last time I looked at it before it was time to say goodbye.
My weekend was very boring. I did not do much besides sit at home and watch tv. I went to my future cousins bridal shower and that was okay. It was not much fun for my sister and I but there was food so we sat there anyway. Other than that I did nothing. Friday night was a lot of fun. The dance was fun even though a lot of people left after coronation. I am not sure what else to say so I am going to get back to computer apps. :)
On friday night I went to my last Homecoming game to watch the boys play and my niece cheer in the cheer camp. It was really cold out and felt so good to go home and watch a movie. On sautrday, I did mostly homework and then some relatives showed up at my house so we took them to my uncles beacuse they did not know how to get there. On sunday, I watched the packer game and did more homework. Not a very exciting weekend but it was relaxing.
This weekend I was able to see my cousins, Calla and Sage. They go to Eau Claire so since they live closer to me now I am able to see them more often, and it's pretty cool.
Blogger is finally working for me so even though it was free write on Monday, now I can free write on Friday. I am real excited that it is Friday already. I work all this weekend though, but it will still be nice being out of school. I got my hair cut yesterday, and it is quite a change. I had almost eight inches cut off and now it is a lot easier to manage. I have a lot of study halls today so it is an easy Friday to just sit back and relax.
