Write about a time when you really embarrassed yourself. What did you do? Who was there? Is it funny to you now or are you still embarrassed by the episode?
I'll share this one: I accidentally wrote "poop" instead of "pool" on the Promethean board the other day. I was very embarrassed, but I now I think that it's pretty funny.

I was at a jazz festival last spring and was dancing with some friends. We were all attempting to swing dance, but nobody really knew how. I was joking around, so I closed my eyes and started to get really into the music. When I opened my eyes, all of the other peole on the dance floor had formed a circle-- and I was alone in the middle of it. Needless to say, I booked it out of there as fast as my swing-dancing feet would allow. It seemed funny at the time, and still does.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in middle school I fell "up" the stairs. I had a ton of books in my arms and I had just made it to the top steps when I slipped. I ended up thumping down all of the stairs, right back down to the bottom. My books were everywhere. It was super embarrassing at the time but I think it is quite hilarious now. I wish I could have watched myself do it, it would be quite entertaining.
ReplyDeleteBack in like fifth grade, I was nonchalantly rocking my chair back and forth during class (tipping it to the side on two legs and then letting it fall back down). During this ritual I accidentally tipped it too far to the side to the point where I lost balance and tipped over in my chair in the middle of class. Everyone kind of just stopped and stared at me, including the teacher. I'm sure my face turned bright red and after that I sat stock still in my seat for the rest of the day. It wasn't funny to me then and it still isn't. Actually it was slightly moronic.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of blonde moments, but the one that sticks out in my head the most is the one when I was 10 years old. I was at Walmart and had just got done using the restroom when a woman was running after me saying, "Sweetie, sweetie." I turned around confused and said what? She said, "I think you accidentally tucked your dress into your undies in the back." I instantly turned red.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can not even think of something that i have been extremely embarassed about. I try to keep the mindset that the little things I do in life are not going to matter. Meaning, I am really good at just laughing off embarassing things that i've done... So, yeah. I really don't know/care
ReplyDeleteProbably the most embarassing thing i've done was when I was pretty little. We were at Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America and in line for one of the roller coasters. The line was packed full of people and I was kind of nervous. I went up to my dad and leaned my head on his arm. I felt the arm move and when I looked up the man looking down at me was defenitly NOT my dad. I looked around and my family was standing a couple people back in line laughing. I turned red and ran back, embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteLast summer at our camp grown in Minnesota, my Dad was in our boat, and for some reason was biking on a dock. I wasn't paying attention at all and then...I rode right off the end of the dock. The dock was next to the beach/swimming area so EVERYONE came running over to make sure I was alright. I was crying because I was laughing so hard. I was so embarrassed! By the end of the day, everyone at the campground knew. One week after, the campground put up sighs by the docks saying "No riding bikes on docks" All because of me and my blondness!
ReplyDeleteA few summers ago my family and I went to the Chippewa fair. My sister really wanted to go into the fun house that started out as a mirror maze, I thought "yeah, sure this will be easy." Well I let my brother, mom, and sister go in front of me. I put my hands out in front of me and I was ready to go. I thought I would be able to do it without guiding with my hands so I put my arms down. I was 2 feet into the mirror maze when all of a sudden, CLUNK! I ran into a mirror and it made a big noise. Everybody that was standing outside the funhouse laughed at me and to make it worse they watched it happen. I finally got out of the funhouse and my dad was laughing at me, he said he did not see it but he sure did hear it. It was very embarrassing but I laugh about it now, mom and dad still bring it up!
ReplyDeleteThe day before i was going to go get my permit, I was riding my four-wheeler across a field up at my grandparents. There was a big pond that was frozen over(or so I thought) that was right in line with where I was going, so I drive over it, but when I got to the middle, the back of the four wheeler sand in. It was only like 2 feet deep, so I thought I would be able to get out okay. I had my brother who was with me on our three wheeler come out in front of me so I could use the winch to pull myself out...but instead I pulled him too. Now I had both atv's stuck. So I had to walk about a half a mile in the cold with my pants frozen back to the house to get the tractor so that I could break through the ice and get them both out. That was a great learning experience to not drive things on ice in the spring.
ReplyDeleteOne of the many embarassings things that tend to happen to me. We had our NHS induction banquet and of course because of my last name I was called to walk up on the stage first. I had black dress pants and black shoes on. The stairs just happened to be black also. As I was walking up onto the stage I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I tripped going up the stairs in front of everyone. My face turned beat red and everyone was trying to hold in their laughter. As I look back now I think it is embarassing but nothing life threatening.
ReplyDeleteOn November 7, 2010, Brett Favre threw for a career high 446 yards against the Arizona Cardinals. I was very embarressed for the Cardinals because a 41 year old man tore apart their defense. I think its reall funny now because even though he's the best quarterback ever,he was still really old and the Cardinals allowed him to throw for that many yards.
ReplyDeleteAn embarrassing moment that I had a few years back, was when I fell down the stairs in the morning. Right after I wake up, get dressed and head downstairs for breakfast. Except, that one day, I was tired enough that I didn't pay an adequate amount of attention to the stairs. I fell all the way down the stairs and hit my head against the wall, which the room past the wall was the kitchen. My dad came around the corner and asked, "Are you okay?" and when I said yes, he said, " Well, is the wall okay too?" I laughed a little about it afterward, but it would have been funnier if he asked about the condition of the wall first.
ReplyDeleteI embarrass myself quite often. I cannot think of a particular moment that sticks out in my mind. I laugh at every embarrassing mistake I made in my past. :)
ReplyDeleteI think one of my most embarrassing moments was when I was at Shelby's house when we were younger. I'm not really sure why we were doing what we did but it was funny in the end. I remember we were in her sister's room trying on these dresses that were too big for us because we were in like middle school. We were acting really weird that day and we were saying stupid things in crazy accents. Well anyway, we got on these dresses and were acting all dumb in front of the mirror. I had forgotten to go to the bathroom before we put on the dresses and it ended up being a problem. We were laughing so hard we couldn't control ourselves. Now I know I'm not the only one who has laughed so hard they peed their pants. I did just that and I rem.ember being so embarrassed, but it was still super funny
ReplyDeleteOne time a fell off the top of a bunk bed. It hurt. Well my face hurt and my ego also hurt. It was a really long time ago and I don't really remember much because I fell on my head. But yeah..that's all I got for tonight Mrs. M.
ReplyDeleteI have many embarassing moments, but one that sticks out particulary happened in study hall last year. It was in Mrs. Seston's so it was really quiet. I had a few magazines piled up next to my desk because I was working on our Current Events bulletin board. I got out of my desk really fast and turned to my left. I slipped on the magazines and fell straight on my face. Everyone in the study hall turned around and laughed at me. Most thought I just fell for no reason, which happens regularly anyways, but in this case it was due to the dumb magazines!
