I get up this morning and see this on my Yahoo.News feed: "A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. *TIMING...TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. *MAIN IMPACT...HEAVY WET SNOW WITH SIX INCHES OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE...WHICH MAY LEAD TO DIFFICULT TRAVEL."
What are your thoughts on winter? Personally, I could be happy for the rest of my life if I never saw snow again. How about you?

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs. Myers, I really love snow in November-February. March, no so much. I'm starting to get really excited for the holidays, and I absolutely can.not. really feel the holiday spirit without the twinkling snow outside, making my house feel all the more warm and cozy. Plus, I can go sledding and make a fool out of myself snowboarding, and I can make forts and play with my dog who turns into a maniac all winter because she loves cold weather. Plus, snow makes me feel like global warming isn't that bad because we are still following our traditional precipiation and temperature patterns.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have a love/hate relationship with winter. I like it when it freshly snows because it looks so pretty but I would feel alot better about winter if it did not last so long! I do not think I could live somewhere where it never snows but I could definitley go for shorter winters. The main reason why I like winter is because I think it looks beautiful, plus I do not do good in heat.
ReplyDeleteI like winter a lot. I really like when it snows because it is very pretty, but I wish it would be a lot of snow everytime it snowed. I like when the ground is completely covered with at least one foot of snow. But that's just me. Winter is a great season.:)
ReplyDeleteI only like how a lot of snow looks after it has just fallen. When it makes a canopy on the tree limbs over my driveway. I also like how my dog burrows under the snow and then reappears with a snow-covered face. Other than that, I hate it with a passion. I hate being cold, and I hate dangerous roads. I hate scraping my car off, and I hate having to wear three extra layers. Oh, and I hate winter coats on horses. They are ugly. The horses hate it too. I used the word 'hate' a lot in this.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE snow. I am really excited for winter. Even though summer is my favorite season, I also really like winter. I love winter because it's around the holdidays and it's always an exciting time of year. Although, I do not like snow when it's midway through winter and it all just looks dirty. My favorite part is the first snowfall when the grounds are just covered in a blanket of whiteness. I love the freezing winter days sitting inside sipping on hot cocoa infront of the fire or going sledding outside. I'm anxious for it to start snowing becasue I hate this inbetween weather where everything looks dull and boring.
ReplyDeleteI like snow, but HATE the cold! I actually enjoy winter to an extent. Chilling by the fire, hot chocolate, sleding, snow boarding, and ice fishing are my favorite things to do during the winter. I dislike driving in snow a lot. And I hate how cold my cheeks get when I walk inside from the bitter cold. I dislike dressing for winter as well. I would prefer to dress like I am going to the beach every day. Winter and I are at a mutual level.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE SNOW!!!!! Winter is an awesome season. Although I love snow I think it needs to be warm when it is here. Winter is amazing because I love wearing winter jackets. My camo jacket is awesome! I do not really know what else to say but..I love snow! :)
ReplyDeleteI greatly dislike winter. It is way too cold for way too long. If it could snow from the day after thanksgiving to the fifth of January then turn into spring I would be happy. I hate dressing for winter. I hate wearing socks and shoes which are slightly necessary when walking through the snow. I dont like wearing jackets and frequently dont even though it is 25 degrees outside. The only good thing about winter is Christmas. I do not enjoy sledding, skiing or any outdoor winter sports really. Winter could be about three months shorter than it is and I would be alright with it. Snow is dumb unless its Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSnow is so much fun! I really enjoy snowmobiling and playing in the snow. If we had amazing beaches nearby, I don't think I would like the snow as much, but our seasons get boring and it is a welcome change. All the things that go along with snow like sledding and hot chocolate and christmas and snowmobiling are all so fun. This in-between weather is boring. It needs to either warm up so I can go boating, or snow so we can enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSNOW....WINTER...COLD = HATE!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate winter so much! as soon as I am done with college, I am moving to Florida. My whole dads side of the family lives in the Vero Beach area, which is exactly east of Orlando on the coast. So in five years that WILL there! In warm weather were the coldest is like today’s weather. On my phone, I have Colfax Wis. and Vero Beach Fl. and every day I look and compare the weather of there and here and think "Only 5 more years!"
ReplyDeleteWell snow is alright I guess. I used to love when it snowed on Packer games because Brett Favre was the best player ever in snow. He almost played better in snow than in perfect weather. Snow is okay though I guess. Its kind of what makes Wisconsin what it is. A short winter would definetly be okay with me though.
ReplyDeleteI greatly dislike winter in general. I also do not favor the snow, because everything is harder. Getting water is harder, feeding the animals is harder, and there is never enough firewood. I hate playing the survival game, barely getting enough done, and then I have to run indoors to work on an ever growing pile of homework.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like about winter is Christmas. Oh and snow days. I dislike the cold weather very much. I hate being cold. I would rather sweat like a butcher than shiver like an ice cube. The thing I hate most about winter though is driving! I hate ice and slush.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love winter. It is my favorite season because I love to go snowmobiling. I wait for fall to be over just so I can see the first snowfall. I got a snowboard for Christmas last year and now that I am all healed from surgery I finally will get to use it. I do not like however when the roads get icky and you have to stay home so you do not get in an accident.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pumped about winter and Esspecially the snow! Snow is great! I'd absolutely love about 8 inches of fresh snow to open gun hunting! The deer are so much easier to see and the woods is so pretty with fresh snow<3
ReplyDeletei think i've finally decided that i like winter... or christmas at least. however, i HATE when snow is on the roads. i hate driving in the winter.. ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. So if the snow could just stay off the road, that would be fabulous. I think that is why i like California. from where i was in LA, the people i was staying with said that it was only like an hour drive to snowy mountains where you can snowboard and stuff. THEN, when done snowboarding, i could go lay on the beach. how perfect is that?
