12-8

Today is the anniversary of the assassination of John Lennon. (PLEASE tell me that you know who John Lennon was! Beatles...) He not only was an amazing musician, he was a political activist, humanitarian, husband, and father. The song most associated with him is "Imagine."

"Imagine all the people, living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope one day you can join us, and the world can live as one..."

I know this is morbid, but if you could bring back one person from the "great beyond," who would it be? Why?

  1. If I could bring back one person from the "great beyond" I would bring back Gandhi. I think that if Gandhi was still alive in India then things would be a lot better over there. I also know that he would help the rest of the world as well. Overall Gandhi was an amazing man and more people should be like him.

  2. ^ Gandhi was a great choice.

I would bring back Ruffian, the greatest racehorse filly of all time. She was inspirational and was a symbol of courage and hope in this country when she raced. If she was still around, the world would be much more beautiful, because Ruffian was beautiful.

  3. I would want to bring back Billy Mays. The reason I would want to bring him back is because now those commercials are not very fun. Whenever his commercial would come on, I would know because he was so loud and enthusiastic. The guys on it now are boring so I wouldn't know whether it was one of those commercials or what. Billy Mays was a cool guy.

  4. I would bring back anyone I think I would like to meet Albert Einstein. He is an intelligent man and we need more smart people around because we are really lacking on intelligent people now a days. Albert Einstein could probably invent more things for life to be simple or better. Yes sir. We need more smart people.

  5. I would bring back Rosa Parks. She was the first black woman to stand up for her rights. Her accomplishments weren't credited until after she died so I think it would be awesome to bring her back and show her the difference she has made in the world today. I would love to meet her.

  6. I would bring back Ben Franklin. He was obviously a great leader, which is what a country that is so politically divided needs right now. He was also a great inventor, and I think that he would find some really innovative ways to utilize and develop all of the technology we have today. Plus, he had a really interesting personality. I would love to sit and have a chat with him about his life and goals, etc. in a cool little cafe somewhere.

  7. I would bring back...whoever invented chocolate. I would give that man a giant hug and congratulate him for saving mankind everywhere. He should recieve credit for the survival of breakups and bad days. He deserves a medal. Same to the man who created ice cream.

  8. I would bring back Alicia Bader. She was killed in a car accident on Nov. 24th. She was only 25 years old. How tragic :(. She didn't deserve this and neither did her loving parents. She deserved to live her life to the fullest and not have it taken away by bad drivers.

  9. My grandpa passed away before I was born, a year before I was born actually. When my great grandpa was laying on his death bed he said, "I am going to die so this baby (as in me) can be born." Even though I did not know him I feel very close to him. My whole family says he is my angel and that he is always looking over me, and I believe this very much. My great grandpa died on July 11, 1993, when I was adopted by my dad my adoption birthday is July 11, 2007. I do not think this is coincidence, I think it was fate. This may sound cheesy but I think it was meant to be. I would love for my great grandpa back from Heaven because everybody says I would love him and I want to meet him.

  10. I would bring back my dog. I miss her so much, her name was Lilly Rose. I know she was a dog, and not a person, but she was like a person to me. I had had her for 13 years, I got her as a puppy when I was 5. She was with me for all my life, has far has I can remember. We did everything together, she always would make me smile on a bad day. She was truly my best friend, and I miss her very much.

  11. I am going to agree with Sammy. I would bring back Billy too. He was kind of annoying to listen to, but the commercials just are not the same without him.

  13. Well, since I just recently started reading the book about him, I would like to bring back George Bernard Shaw. I am finding out that he is a very interesting individual, and I can already share a few opinions with him. He had written excellent plays, but he commented on how terrible he was with the English language. Some of his sense of humor can be shown in one of his letters when he wrote, "Good God! will I never be a grown sensible man?" (Dent) even though he was between 40-50 years old when he wrote that!

  14. Honestly, I wouldn't bring back anyone. First off, I think that it would just be weird.. Too weird for my liking. I never used to think this way, but recently a lot of my mentalities and views have been greatly different - for various personal reasons. Every thing happens for a reason - including people passing away. Even if is to teach someone a life lesson. This past summer my great grandma had passed away and I had lost someonee very close to me - sort of stimutanously. I learned a lot from these expereinces. Anyways.. Ultimately, I wouldn't bring anyone back. What's done is done.

  15. If I could bring anyone back it would be my great grandparents. I remember all the fun times we had going to their house to visit. My brother and my grandpa would always go through all their fishing things while my grandma and I made cookies. I would bring them back because they were a big part in my life.

  16. I would definetly bring Brett Favre back to his glory days with the Packers. I would love to watch him dominate every team again. Plus I was younger when he was doing that so I don't remember a ton from it. So I would for sure bring Brett back to his glory days.

  17. I'd probably bring back Chris Farely. He is absolutely hilarious! When he died, he was just hitting his prime, which is too bad. I could watch his videos all day! The best part about him was that he was not afraid to make fun of himself. I'd love to have Chris Farely back!
