Over the weekend, we had free HBO and I tried watching Dinner with Schmucks. Talk about a dreadful movie! I made it about twenty minutes and gave up. That got me to thinking: what is the worst movie you have ever seen? What made it so bad? Did you watch the whole movie or did you give up? Discuss!

One of the worst movies if seen is, Harold and Kumar Got To White Castle. There was no story line. It was just about them doing drugs. I fell asleep 1/4 of the way through. I also hate documentary movies. It's like watching paint dry!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely documentaries in history class. Worst movies ever. If, you would even call them movies. What makes if so bad is that there voices don't have the enthusiasm other movies do. It's like reading a romance book to children, you think they're going to sit thru it? It doesn't catch there eye. Blah reading, blah movie. When I watch those things ADHD kicks in and I wanna run around like I'm 5 years old. Blah. Yup documentaries are not my thing.
ReplyDeleteThe worst movie I have ever tried watching was Bug. Do not ever watch it! It was super stupid. I do not really remember exactaly what happened but it was about this couple that acted like they were going through withdrawl (but they were not on drugs) and they were freaking out because there were bugs everywhere in this hotel room. I'm pretty sure it ends with them actually turning into bugs...it was horrible.
ReplyDeleteThe Shawshank Redemption was by far the worst movie that I've ever seen, and it is also the worst movie ever made. Everyone knows this, and everyone agrees that it is in no way stimulating. Not only are there terrible actors in the movie, like Morgan Freeman, but there is also a very bland, vague story line that is completely unrelatable. The acting is poor, the production quality is mediocre, and the message portrayed within the plot is meaningless. It obviously has all the elements that contribute to an overall poor movie.
ReplyDeleteThe worst movie I have ever seen is Open Water. It has no point and I cannot stand watching it. I have seen it once and I will never watch it again. The whole movie is two people stranded in water. In the end they both get eatten. Horrible movie!
ReplyDeleteOne of the worst movies that I have ever seen was Frozen. Majority of the watch instantly movies on Netflix are not worth the time it takes to watch them. Even though I was well aware of this, I watched it anyways. I think what made me so frustrated about the movie was that the characters were so stupid. It was supposed to be a "scary" movie, but in all reality, it was only scary because the decisions that the characters made were brainless. I suppose one could say that about all scary movies, though... I mean who in their right mind would walk down a dark alley by themselves... Not me. I'm afraid of the dark.
ReplyDeleteI try to think of a movie that I consider the dumbest, and I really can't think of any. If I had to name one of the top of my head I guess I would say the movie Rubber. I don't remember this movie all that well because I didn't watch very much of it. This was one of the most pointless movies ever. Otherwise, I'm pretty well entertained with any movie I sit down and watch. I guess one of the most dreadful movies would be the Human Centipede...and I'm not going into detail with that one. haha
ReplyDeleteI watched about 5 minutes of one of the "Scary Movie" movies and turned it off because I started gagging. It was a long time ago, but I think there was a zombie either puking or urinating. That's the only part that I remember. I also didn't like "8 Legged Freaks." I saw it when I was fairly young, so it really freaked me out. Plus, in retrospect, the plot line was really weak. Using its foul language as an indicator, I would say that the movie was geared at adults. The premise was incredibly stupid and pretty immature, though, for a supposedly "mature" audience.
ReplyDeleteI think that the worst movie that I have seen would be 2001 Space Odyssey. After watching modern movies where things actually happen, it seems terribly boring to watch such a dry movie. One can't help but think while watching the movie,"When is something going to happen?", but nothing with any form of suspense does happen.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really seen a really bad movie. I usually wait til I hear from other people before I see something. I do think that Wall-e and the end of March of the Penguins were both hoaky environmental pushes, But like I said before, I usually only watch ones that I've heard are good.
ReplyDeleteThe worst movie I have ever seen is the movie "The Roommate" it’s a scary movie and I hate those to begin with! It was about a college students roommate that would stalk her and killed some of her friends. I went and saw it in the movie theater, and I just wanted to leave half way through it, but didn't.
ReplyDeleteI cannot seem to think of a bad movie right now, but a lot of the random movies off of Netflix that nobody has heard of are usually bad. I try to pick a movie that looks and sounds interesting, but once I start watcing it I just want to turn it off because it is just dumb. I also agree with Meghan Lieffort. The Roommate was an awful movie. I did not think it was scary though; I thought it was just really dumb and not good at all.
ReplyDeleteWorst movie I ever saw was Borat I believe it was called. I remember seeing no humor in it. I wish I could put into details what made it awful but I had such a pounding headache after ten minutes that I turned it off and never put it in again.
ReplyDeleteWill ferrel gets me feeling like giving up on him. Loving Will takes dedication. You have to take the good with the bad. He was dreadful when he was on the office but Anchorman may be the best movie ever created!
