I cannot believe that it's February already! My time with you all is flying by so quickly -- I need to get assigning more work :-)
Speaking of work - how are your research papers coming? What issues are you having? Will you be ready on Friday for peer revision? I hope so!

My research paper is not going the best. I haven't been feeling well so it's hard to get the concentration to work on it. I also don't know if I have enough information.
ReplyDeleteOh Mrs. Myers! You really don't have to start assigning homework. The pace were going now is perfectly fine. Here's why... Would you like quick sloppy work to get it done, or would you like us to actually spend time on it, comprehend it, and possibly learn something from it? One assignment or two assignments shouldn't determine pass or fail. It should be pass or fail depending on if the student works hard, at least trying to understand, and appropriate in class. Because those are the real skills for the real world. You can't just redo an assignment to make your boss happy. You just have to take your time and do as best as you can. That's all they ask.
ReplyDeleteMy research paper is going alright, although I'm worried about having enough information to write a long enough paper. It probably will be fine, since it usually is, but this is always the point in the process of writing the paper where I get worried about how it will turn out. I never know if I am going to have enough information, and I also worry about whether I will be able to develop a good thesis. After writing the outline, though, I am feeling pretty confident that the thesis and organization will not be an issue. Again, it's having enough information that worries me.
ReplyDeleteMy research paper is going really good. I already have three and a half pages done. This paper is way easier than the last one. I will probably have to do more research but it was hard to find different information on my topic. A lot of the info was redundant. I will hopefully be done with my paper a couple days before the due date.
ReplyDeleteMy research paper is going awesome. I have been working really hard each day and keeping on top of things. I haven't even felt the least bit stressed out about it yet, because I've set goals each day to accomplish with the paper and I have reached them each day. I will definately be ready for peer revision on Friday. The topic I chose has way too much information, which is good but I am afraid that I'm going to go informaiton overload on it.

I think my research paper is going okay, but I have so much other stuff going on that I feel like I am starting to get behind. I have lots of good information,I just need to actually get it all written up into a paper. I sure hope it is long enough.

ReplyDeleteI think the paper is going well, but that Friday is coming a little too quickly. I have a lot of really good information, but there is some more information that I want to gather and study in order to do a comlete analysis of my topic that I will not be able to read with the rough draft dealine approaching. I like my topic, though. I am more interested in it than I had originally anticipated, and I like that I have the opportunity to form my own opinions in this paper instead of merely gathering facts and putting them into report form.
ReplyDeleteMy paper is going okay. I mean, its a research paper. I think this is happening to us all, that we just do not have the motivation to write this one. I have never had this much trouble trying to write a paper and actually get it done with. My senioritis has gone way past the normal limit and I do not think it is going to be a good thing at all..
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the paper itself is going bad, I think that my motivation is the problem. I partially believe that the reason that I am having such a rough time with writing this paper is my lack of interest in the topic. Having another paper in Social Problems that I find 100% more interesting makes it really hard to complete this one. Whenever I have time to work on the two papers, I choose to work on my Social Problem's paper because I don't even see it as a chore, unlike this one. And not only that, but it's about 50x harder for me to concentrate this week because of Dance State this weekend. All of my attention has gone to my Social Problems paper and dance. That's it.
ReplyDeleteI think that my paper has been going along alright. Es ist ganz interessanter dass ich auf eine Deutsche Facher schreiben kann. My hope is to get all the information together and to get it to flow. I believe that I have all the necessary information, and it just needs to be put in place. I believe that all the parts I am concerned with are now placed correctly.
ReplyDeleteMy research project is going okay. The most troublesome things going on right now is the shortage of time (with another research paper due on the same day for social problems) and finding enough information. I am a little worried that it sounds like I am blabbering on what I have written so far. It does seem to be going a lot better now that I am home working on it (I always work better at home)!
ReplyDeleteMy paper was going fantasic when I was at school to write it. Being in DC though as distracted me so much. I am nervous and I hope it turns out decent. Quite odd but I really enjoyed researching about Catherine II though.
ReplyDeleteI think my paper is going well. I have been feeling not good about it but I think that's just because..I don't know why. I'm sure it will turn out ok, just got to keep working I guess. I think I have enough information but I am trying to piece it together in an orderly fashion.
