Today's blog is about fears. What are you afraid of? Do you have any "out of the norm" phobias? Personally, I cannot stand heights. I won't even stand on a chair if I can avoid it. My other phobia: moths. Moths totally freak me out.
Hmmm...Fears. I don't really have any normal daily things that I'm scared of. I do get pretty grossed out when in movies people have bugs or snakes or something crawl all over them. I would hate that. I'm a pretty adventurous person though, so I'm willing to do a lot of things that might scare other people.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely fearless. Actually, I'm not, but I really can't think of anything that scares me right now. I don't really mind spiders, snakes, or the dark. I'm not overly averse to germs. I find great heights exciting. I don't like the idea of falling very much, but I'm fine with leaning over railings, etc. if they're high up. People talk a lot about having a fear of rejection--usually in a romantic context--but I haven't really experienced that. I guess I wouldn't like it, but it would just be a downer that I could deal with. I don't think I actually fear it. I'm afraid of dark alleys with possible criminals lurking in the shadows. I don't think that's an out of the ordinary phobia, though.
ReplyDeleteI have a major fear of driving my car in the winter and slipping off this huge cliff near my house. Ever since I was a young child I have feared this. It is like a 50-100 feet drop and the hill is super steep so I guess I cannot blame myself for having a little bathmophobia. I have major snakephobia and I cannot stand to be near little snakes. Big snakes are kind of whatever, the little ones are the more scary and deadly ones. I also am athazagoraphobia because being ignored really urks me.
ReplyDeleteNothing scares me.
ReplyDeleteMy main fear is trusting people. Practically my whole life I've only trusted one or 2 people, and I no longer trust them. I think the main reason I fear trusting people is because I fear being hurt/lied to. I can't say I'm proud of this fear but I do believe I wouldn't be so independent or responsible without this fear. My "Out of the norm" fear would be anything touching or completely covering my feet. (socks are okay, it's shoes that drive me crazy!) I wear socks at all times. Except for bed because my dog will eat the socks right off my feet :)
ReplyDeleteThis is also why I wear slippers or crocs all the time. Going to the gym doesn't bother me, it's wearing tennis shoes.
I also wear socks swimming. I have too, the feeling Of dirt/ sand on my feet drives me nuts!! At the end of summer I'm usually tan with white feet :)
I am terrified of clowns. My family went to Packer family fun night and as we were walking up the ramp I see something colorful. As we get closer I can see that its a clown making balloon animals for the little kids. I kind of backed away and winced at the sight of him. He saw me do this and asked me if I wanted a balloon animal and I said no and started to walk faster thinking he would get the hint. He didnt and started to walk behind me so I ran, and he chased me. It was terrifying! I am also scared of being alone in the dark, not sure why. And this is not really a fear but frogs disgust me. I am not scared of them but they give me the heeby-jeebies. The little ones are okay but the big ones are gross!!!
ReplyDeleteMy worst fear is spiders. I hate them with a passion. I also have a fear of loosing my dad and other close family members. I seem to have a brain block when writing this...but I know I have plenty more fears.
ReplyDeleteI am like deathly afraid of Balloons! I am so scared of them pooping! Even though at my job, it requires me to blow up balloons with the helium, and I really try not to pop any. When I do, I scream really really really load. I guess I'm afraid of walking in the dark, but mostly what comes out at night, like bats and bears and wolves and snakes that just appear out of no were because you can't see them coming.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA meghan!!!!!!!!!!! pooping*
ReplyDeletePOOPING!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am very afraid of bugs/snakes. I hate them with a passion. Anything that could potentially crawl into my ears and lay eggs is a no-go for me. Snakes are really gross and if i saw one in person I would probably cry. I also do not like walking outside in the dark. Not my favorite. I have to say I am not that afraid of balloons pooping :) I love ya meghan!
ReplyDeleteI am very afraid of spiders. I feel like they are going to crawl into my ears and mouth in the middle of the night and like eat my brains or even lay eggs in me.
ReplyDeleteI cannot really think of anything that I am super afraid of. I still get scared when things jump out at me or something loud happens, otherwise I do not really have set fears. I am one of those people where if I am out alone I am super paranoid about creepers and stuff...I always have pepper spray with me.
ReplyDeleteI am really afraid of snakes. They are so gross and creepy. Clowns also freak me out because I went to Valley Scare this year and the clowns freaked me out! I am not a fan of the dark when I'm alone either.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have the opposite fear of some other people. I do not enjoy being in large groups, but I have no fear of walking around outside in the dark by myself. Scary movies tend not to scare me, because when I see something on TV, I simply think of how much time someone spent using graphics and special effects to make up the entirely fictional character. I am not entirely aware of many unusual phobias that may I have at this time.
ReplyDeleteMy fears would definetly have to be snakes! I hate snakes so much! I am also not to fond of the dark. I am not quite sure why I am so scared of the dark but I will run from my car to my house when I get home if it is dark out. But my biggest one is totally SNAKES!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure most people already know, but I am very afraid of the dark. I honestly can not stand it. I have this really cool nightlight that turns on automatically if I shut off my bedroom light. It basically rules because then I never have to be in the dark. I even used to hop into bed from a distance so that nothing could grab me from beneath it. When I am going up stairs, I always run quickly if it is dark below me, and if I am going up stairs in a group of people, I can't be the last one up. I don't know, I just really don't like the dark. It's scary. You don't even know what is there...
ReplyDeleteI'm deathly afraid of places with a lot people. I just scared of getting kidnapped or getting lost or something terrible like that. You just never know what people are thinking these days. I'd much rather go up in the woods and snuggle with bears:)
