What book are you reading right now? What do you like about it? What annoys you? Are you reading it for pleasure, or is it for your book review? Do you have any favorite authors?
Just finished speak by Laurie on Sunday.... Of course im not reading any books :D ... Did you see the storm last night? Amazing :) it was slight chilly after a while outside :) The weather outside was frightful But to me it was delightful. The light rain with pounding thunder There was nothing I wanted to hide under. So let it storm Let it storm Let it storm :D
I am currently reading "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd for my Social Problems book review. I really like the book and the movie. Otherwise I have not picked a new english book yet. I do not really have a favorite author, I read pretty much anything!
I am reading "A Pair of Blue Eyes" by Thomas Hardy. It's pretty enjoyable. Hardy has a good sense of humor. I think that it is a little too long for its subject matter, though, and that the story should be told more succinctly. I am reading it for Social Problems. I tend to like specific books more than authors--except J.K. Rowling. I have read 2 Chaim Potok books, and I thought that they were both really good.
I just finished A Million Little Pieces. It was really deep and it made me never ever want to even look at drugs. Which I had no intentions on anyway, the book just scared me worse. I read A Million Little Pieces for my own pleasure. The style of the writing was a unique, but annoying because you could never figure out whom was talking and when. I am a quick reader if I can actually make time to sit, relax, and enjoy reading. I am currently looking at another book to read for my next book review.
I am not reading a book right now, but I just got done with Fahrenheit 451. I did not like it. It was very fictional and I would rather not spend my time reading a book about burning books although it would be nice if they were! I don't have favorite author's, I just like good books. I think an author can have a god book, but then their next one can be terrible so I just try to read enjoyable books. I don't like being told to read books that I don't enjoy because I don't get anything out of them. Like Wuthering Heights for example....FRUSTERATING beyond belief!
I just started reading The Mind and the Brain. It was written by a doctor. It's about neuroplasticity and the ability to shape your own brain with your mind. It's pretty cool.
I am actually not reading anything right now. This is pretty common for me though, because I have other things going on in my life as well that are much more exciting than reading.
I am reading the 2nd book in the Hunger Games series. I am only like 20 pages into it, and it is good. I have heard that it is worst then the 1st, but ether way I can't wait to know what happens!
I have seen the movie and have just started "The Lovely Bones!" I loved the movie! So, I decided to read the book! What a storyline! I am only a few chapters in and its keeping me interested. I normally dread reading. But, once I find something that that I like, I can't put it down!
I am not reading a book right now. I am going to start "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" soon for my book review. I really like Jodi Picoult books and I wish we could read them for our book review..
At this time, I haven't picked out a book yet. The last book that I read was A Tale of Two Cities. It wasn't the best book I have ever read, but it also wasn't the worst. For one thing, I can say that I am glad that I do not need to take a test on it. I personally do not have any favorite common authors. I guess that my favorite author may be Wolfgang Langeweische. Although I can not think of anyone else that knows who he is. He wrote one of the best books that still can not be beat today. That is why it is still so popular.
