4-25

You are soon to go off in many different directions, away from Colfax, away from high school, and away from your friends. What are you going to miss the most? What aren't you going to miss? Discuss.

Oh, and by the way, your blog prompt responses need to be more than one sentence long. Grrr!

  1. I do not really think I am going to miss a whole lot here. I am just so excited to go off to college and start my life. I am NEVER going to wish I was still in high school, that is for sure! Overall, I am more happy that I am going off to college than sad that I am leaving here.

  2. This is sentence number 1. This is sentence number 2. now that I know it will be long enough:)....what am I going to miss about CHS? Well... Mrs. Myers of course! :D (extra credit?) Really though, theres not much about this school I am going to miss. Im going to miss my job though. My last day is may 10th. I really never thought I'd leave but, Im just ready to move on to bigger and better things. Moving to chippewa, my new job, and new friends. Im ready to explore the world. Im going to miss hiding chocolate, makeing stuff in art, wandering the halls, blogging, ect. I cant believe I have completed so many years of school. makes me feel old.

  3. I am excited to be going off on my own and being done with high school. I am going to miss seeing all my friends and knowing that they are not very far away and we can hang out easily. I am not going to miss all the he said she said stuff that goes on in high school though. I am going to miss all the fun times I have had at school but the new experiences are going to be just as great as the memories I already have.

  4. I am excited to graduate! I will miss the close connections I have made with teachers, studetns, and community members. I will also miss the homecoming and winter carnival events, like: OUR JUNIOR YEAR HOMECOMING SKIT!! I will not miss the drama that fills this school though. I will also not miss having to ask to go to the bathroom! I'm ready for that next step in life!

  5. I will miss knowing pretty much every face I see in the hallways. I will miss the teachers and all the compliments and smiles I received from the peers I have grown up with for thirteen years. I will not miss the school lunches very much, or the fact that I cannot even look at my cellular device during school hours. I will definitely not miss asking to leave the room or use the bathroom, which is so ridiculous. I will miss the easiness of school and seriously all my friends. I will miss running late and just joking with everyone I see in the halls. I will miss the small classes and hearing about each other’s successes. I will miss most of it, but not all of it. I will miss the little things the most.

  6. I am going to miss seeing my friends everyday, but other then that I really will not miss much of anything. I will not miss all the drama that goes on in this high school and I will not miss people that think it's fun to start this drama. Yay for May 18th, come faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I am going to miss my friends and just being in school. I love being in school. I will not miss the stupid drama that people in Colfax think they need to start. I will miss spending time with people. I wont miss people being nice to your face and mean behind your back. I wont miss people thinking its completely okay to treat people poorly becuase nobody will stick up to them. High school was fun but I wish I could go back to when I was a freshman and do it all again.

  8. I will really miss all of my amazing friends. I will still get to see them because I am not really going that far away but it still will not be the same. I really will not miss all the high school drama.

  9. I think I will miss some of the people. I mean, I have known most of them for so long now... So it will be weird not seeing everyone daily. However, I am excited to move and experience new things in college. I am definitely going to miss my family when I move to Minneapolis. Regardless of how weird I might say my family is, I truly do love them to death. My brother, my Mom, my Dad.. It will be a really hard day for me when I have to pack up my things and move out, but I am also really excited to start my life with Thomas in Minneapolis. It will be a huge change, but I am definitely ready for it.

  10. The only thing I am going to miss here is being close with my friends. Going away to college, especially 4 hours away, is really going to put a damper on the closeness I have with my friends. I guess I am not all that worried about it though. I am going to make new friends anyway and the ones that matter will always remain close. I am not going to miss the, not to be mean, but the annoying people around here. I am sick of the childness and immaturity that our school is filled with. It really drives me insane. I cannot wait to get out into the world and be on my own for a little bit. I am excited to be able to do things and not have to ask permission to do it. College is going to be great and I am not going to wish I was still in high school. People who do that, well you have to get over it.

  11. I will miss the friends that I have made here for one thing. I may miss the school and my house quite a bit as well. I will miss being off the farm. I know that I will not miss eight, or with the trips to and from, nine hours a day five days a week of going to school. We may get the same volume of homework, but we will have shorter days, which will give us much more time to work.

  12. You Can't
    Can you just say
    Your going to be happy?
    Without one second of sadness?
    Can you just drive
    Till you can't anymore?
    Without stopping for gas?
    Can you just be
    Who you want to be?
Without dealing with what it takes to get there?
    Can you just believe
    In someone?
    Without not believing them?
    Can you imagine
    A place to get away?
    Without having to say
    goodbye?
    Can you pretend
    That this makes sense?
    Without closing your eyes?

  13. Of course I'm going to miss my family and friends, but I know I'll be in contact with them through the years. I true fully cannot wait for our reunions! The 5 year reunion will not be anything special, but our 10 and 20 ect will be really exciting because we get to each other and see where we are all living and what jobs we have. I'm excited to get out into the 'real' world, and experience everything. I know that I am going to make mistakes, but we are only human and we learn from our mistakes!

  14. I have rather complex feelings about our lunch system. On one hand, I am really not going to miss the "something on a bun" days because they generally do not taste very good. However, on the other hand, I will miss them because no other institution on the face of the earth would find it necessary to specify that no, your hot dog will not be served as a single lone tube of meat. I have similarly mixed feelings about the social life here. There are people who have made me think about things from a different angle who I probably will never spend time with again. I will miss those perspectives--but maybe not the company of those people.

  15. I will miss Mr. Glynn a lot and our Friday treats that haven't been happening in CPC. I will not miss information processing. It is by far the most terrible thing I have ever had to experience. I will miss Spanish class and observing all the behaviorisms of the triad on a regular basis. I will not miss almost every other aspect of high school, though. There are a handful of individuals who I will miss deeply, but I doubt it will be the last time I will ever see them again.
