10-3

Play "what if?" Write down some ordinary or preposterous questions, such as:
-What if the world were square instead of round?
-What if no human being had the sense of taste?
-What if someone invented a device that would do all the jobs you hate to do?
-What if people walked on their hands instead of on their feet?
-What if dandelions were suddenly considered to be gold, the most valuable substance?

Write a short story or poem in which one of your "what ifs" came true.

  1. What if monsters and zombies were actually real?

If monsters and zombies were actually real, I think this world would be completely different. People would always carry huge machine guns and weapons around for protection. People would be afraid to go outside of their houses and everybody would try to get away from them. I couldn't even imagine having the world filled with zombies and monsters because I know I would be terrified. The news would be covered with attacks and murders. The world wouldn't be a nice place to live and the population would go way down because the weak would die!

  2. What if everybody sang what they were feeling?

If everybody sang what they were feeling, life would be just awesome! It would feel just like High School Musical and Glee around this school. It would make everyone feel more relieved like they got their feelings off their chest faster. I would love to be able to sing when I have any emotion in the book. That would just automatically make me and so many others so happy!! Go choir kids! ;)

  3. What if you had wings?

If I had wings I would be a very happy girl. I would be able to fly and not have to spend money on gas. It would be so much easier to go see friends that lived far away and not have to worry to much about the money. I wouldn't have to worry about finding rides places when i do not have a vehicle avaliable to me. Life would be so much easier if I had wings and could fly.

  4. What if I was married to Ryan Gosling?

I am married to Ryan Gosling.
On my ring finger, he put on me some nice bling.
We live in a house by the shore.
I think it is impossible for him to love me more.
He loves me more than life itself.
He is very good at making shelves.
    I am not very romantic,
But he took me on a really nice picnic.
    We will be together forever.
    Just like in the Notebook.
    Our love would die never.

    If Harry Potter were real,
happiness is what I would feel.
    I would be London bound
hoppin on the next train that would come round
goin to hogwarts, that's where I would go.
    My spirts couldn't be low.
    Steppin on platform 9 3/4,
there would deffinatly be some reporters.
I'd learn all the magic in the book,
soon I wouldn't need to look.

  6. What if the world didnt have hypothetical questions?

Well there is the obvious answer that we wouldnt be doing this blog. I think that there would be alot of things that would never be made. People think of the what if questions and other people make things to answer those questions. I think that hypothetically if there were no hypothetical questions the world would be very to the point, and there wouldnt be any mystery of what people did.

  7. What if you were given the power to change one thing in your life with the snap of your fingers, what would it be?

I would probably change where I live. Colfax is a great place to grow up and go to school but it is lacking many opportunities that are available other places. If I lived in a bigger town with a larger school, I could meet more people and learn new cultures.I would probably live in California and learn how to surf.

  9. What if I was a dog?
If I were a dog everything in the world would be right. I would play all day and sleep all night; and sleep some more in the day too. Back rubs and treats would be given to me heavily. No work would be required of me and I would chase those annoying squirrels all day every day. At the end of a long day I would just cuddle with my owner.

  10. What if it rained skittles?

If it rained skittles I would be in heaven. But because it would be raining small projectiles i emagin that would be a fair amount of property damage everytime it rained. But if people knew that it rained small eatable projectiles they would more than likely build stronger houses to prevent damage. I wonder what everybody would do with the of the skittles? They are solid, so you would have to go out and shovel all of the skittles out of the way after every time it rained. You probably wouldn't want to drive when it was raining either. On second though, I don't think that I want it to rain skittles, it would cause too many problems.

  11. What if I was a Dolphin?
I would be able to swim all day long.
Food would be my only thought, along with swimming, flipping and doing other dolphin stuff. Hopefully I would not be caught in a fish net and sold as tuna meat. That would be sad. And illegal.

  12. What if everything was made of toast?
The world would be made out of a ball of toast. The lakes and oceans would be filled with melted butter. Volcanoes would then spew strawberry jelly. The sand on our beaches would turn into the crumbs that fall off the toast as you eat it. Our roads will transform into burnt toast. And finally the plants would all turn into mold.

  13. What if I lived in a world where junk food was healthy and healthy was bad?
I would absolutely love it! nobody would ever have to worry about eating junk and being healthy. There would be very little obesity and everyone could be in good shape. Why can't it be like this?

  14. What is our whole world was made of candy?

Our would would be made from a big green gumball that everybody would munch on so we would all eventually die with nowhere to live. But for the time being, my house would be made of startbursts, airheads, and gummy bears! I would eat every single thing I saw all day. I would probably get into trouble for eating other people's houses. If everything was made of candy life would be amazing, but I would probably gain 100 pounds and also be in jail becauase I have no self control when it comes to candy.

  17. What if it was always Christmas? That would be great. The snow would always be fluffy and white and your christmas tree would never die. Everyone would be cheery and music would brighten our days. Not to mention that we would never be at school, since it would be forever christmas break. Peoples houses would always be full of delicious smells and decorated beautifully. I wish it was christmas right now...

  18. What if a cactus came to life?
    Would be be a guy?
    Would he have a wife?
    What would his name be?
    Maybe something easy...like Mike
    Or possibly something crazy,
    like the fitting name Spike?
Would he be a nice cactus?
Or would he be a meany?
    Would he wear a hat?
He could probably pull off a beanie...

  20. What if our bodies had the ability to create our own oxygen? We could swim as long as we wanted underwater, exploring the depths unknown. We could scour space for new frontiers much more easily and maybe even solve global warming.
