I am above and beyond stressed out this week. Well, I finished my paper last night and that was a major relief off of my shoulders. I am also having personal problems that are not helping me out. Thank godness it is Friday though because this week has seemed long enough for me and probably everyone else. Now I get to study for a CPC test that we have 8th hour today. Great! :(
This weekend is bringing in some cooler weather. DANG! Oh well. Next thursday the weather is supposed to be back in the fiftys. There is baseball coming up soon!. The spring break is going to be awesome! Have a good weekend everyone.
Alrighty...well, I got to take my shoulder brace off yesterday. It was a very exciting event for the family so we had a party with cake and balloons and clowns and pinatas! Okay, well there were no pinatas, but there were clowns. Anyway, because I took the brace for the first time in 2 months, sleeping was very difficult last night. I woke up a handful of times because my arm was really sore. It feels better today, however, and I am ready to get back to my normal life! Have a good weekend!
I just wrote something for journal and it didn't post, so I'm going to try again! Recently, I've been really into sewing/making things. It is so much fun! I'm going to be majoring in Apparel Design, so I decided to sew some more things. I am loving designing things, and then making them! It's come to a point where if I don't make something for a couple days, I get sad :( I just found this really awesome thing called fusing plastic bags and it's good for the environment. You take a plastic bag and cut off the handles and the bottom. The you fold it a couple of times and put it in between 2 sheets of paper. After that you iron on each side for 10-15 seconds and then you peel it from the paper. You are then left with a durable material that you can sew and cut! I've been making wallets and purses that are lined with wool/felt plus a few buttons for a nice effect. They're adorable! I could sell them, and I totally should...
Lately I have been interested in women's rights and their places in society through out history. I have wrtitten two papers in this class about women in history and have enjoyed reading about how women took a stand against society. I just finished reading Marry Wollencrafts peiece in our English Book and she sounded very excited to make a change for women. In today's culture women seem to do very well however sex image is pretty crazy.
I am so excied for spring break. I need a vacation from stress. Lately I have been so unfocused, I think I need a break so that I can refocuse when I come back and am not so worn out. I think this beak is coming at the perfect time. It is kind of crazy to think that we won't hav another break untill graduation! Crazy!
