  1. You fought in wars
    and had many battles
    You kept us safe
    when we were scared of
    things that were
    happening overseas
    Thank you for being there
    In time of war

  2. Your job is not easy,
    to fight for your country,
you do it with passion and grace,
for back home there is something special,
    awaiting your arrival,
waiting for you to fight and come home to play,
    The things you have done,
    is huge in many ways,
    The people you have protected,
    can't thank you enough,
    so Thank you dear veterans,

    Leaving your loved ones behind.
Risking your life for our country

  5. You go and fight for all of us back home
You give your lives so we may be free
The men and women give up their time
Just to help our flag still fly
    Our country stands behind you
    Proud and full of joy
We hold our veterans dear to our hearts
And even though we may not know them
We wish they come home safe and sound
So for all that our veterans do
We all from the US thank you

  6. the writing on the tombstones
    has eroded
    the flag hangs low over
    the names
    the stars and stripes
    red white and blue
    patritism is rooted in history
and our history gives to us
    pride
    those who have died
    and those who serve now
    are the backbone of
    our country
    they are strength and courage
    and virtue
    today of all days
    is the perfect day
    to say
    thank you

  8. Many served or are serving this country

Cemeteries host those lost as far as the eye can see

We honor all those who kept us safe from harm

And hope that someday we will not need such violent arms

When we look up at our flag we see what we stand for

Honor, courage and responsibilites are what we don't ignore

A planet without dispute is what many hope to foresee

So we thank the vetrans who fought for us so that we may be free

  9. you are a blanket
    warming our nation
    you are the safety
    holding us in,
    you are the reason
    we are so lucky
    you have died
    so we can live.
    You can fly
    and swim the seas
    you may not ever see
    your new baby,
    But for you we pray
    our hearts for ever
    to last through the war
    through the roughest of weather
    dear veteran,
    young and old
    for you we thank
    and the flag we fold.

  10. During the darkest of times,
You fought for your loved ones
And even people you never knew.
Gone for months, maybe even years,
Life at home had to be left behind.
Your country needed you to protect,
To fight against all evil that harms.

With war brings suffering and pain,
Death of our dear relatives and friends
That we never wanted to say goodbye to.
However, we know that the brave who died
Are in a better place where there is no war.
But no matter if you are dead or alive,
Each of you is a hero to us all.

  11. Veterans,
    I thank you for putting
your lifes on the line for me
to just live a life full of freedom.
You are the definition to the word hero.
No one could ever do something greater for
me. I thank you with all my heart for
    letting me live free.

  12. Thank you for the things you've done
    and what you've sacrifice
to let us have our freedom
and to sleep sound at night

To the men who gave there lives
    to make this country free
    and to all there family
    who still hold them dear

To the dreams of all americans
remember those who are there for you
and that the life you live today
is because of what they did for you.
