Tuesday

This question comes from one of you!

You are soon about to go off in many different directions, away from Colfax, away from high school, away from all of your friends. What are you going to miss the most? What aren't you going to miss? Discuss!

  1. I am going to miss all my friends the most... :(
You guys are the best!!!! I like the close community we have at our highschool. But I am also going to be happy to get away from so small of a town and adventure out. I am excited to have some freedom (finally) and to just be done with highschool. I am nervous too, though, about going to college...

  2. I am going to miss my friends the most. And if I go far away I will most definitely miss my family too. I'm most excited to meet new people and make new friends! but I will still keep in touch with the old ones, of course.
It's hard for me to say because I have no idea where I'm going.

  3. I'm going to miss my friends and all of the support I get from living in such a small community. Everyone seems to have your back and you develop strong bonds with people. My friends are awesome and it's weird to imagine that I won't be seeing them everyday like I have been for the past 13 years! I am excited to meet new people but I worry about if it will be easy or not. Oh well, I still have time yet and I'm still going to keep in touch with everyone so I think it will be ok. :)

  4. I'm going to miss my friends and family the most. I'll also miss lunch time with all of my friends in the hallway. We sit and eat while talking and laughing all the time.

I'm definitely not going to miss all of the homework and waking up extra early for school.

  5. I'm going to miss the people I grew up with in school. We all have stories about each other and we all have history together. It's going to be a sad good-bye. However, there's so much more to explore. Instead of thinking of this as a good-bye, I like to think of it as a beginning to many hello's. We all will meet so many more friends and enjoy life.

I won't miss this feeling of being stuck. I feel like I need to move on, be done with high school, and start LIVING. I've spent my whole life building my future and now I'm ready to live it. I'm ready to leave all this and join the air force, and be on my own.

I know who my true friends are - and true friends will always stay together. I know I'll never lose contact.

  6. I am going to miss my friends a lot!! I am also going to miss colfax's small community feel "where every body knows your name." I love that I can go to Cenex gas station knowing that I will probably bump into many people I know.I will miss Colfax in general! I love our school, and I love the traditions that come along with Colfax athletics. It will be refreshing going to college because I will meet new people and I will explore different parts of the US! I am nervous about college as far as making new friends, and the homework that comes along with it. I am going to make a bigg effort to stay in touch with my friends, becuase it would be sad coming back to colfax with no one to hangout with!! It is hard and sad thinking about the future, reality hasn't quite hit me yet!

  7. It will be strange to leave the place where we have lived for so many years. I'm going to miss our small little town. I have been all over it and discovered some fun places. I will miss our school and all who attended it with me. The school lunches, the small lockers, the freezing water fountains and the fruit flies that fly around. These things are what we will remember of our school, and how it was a fun exciting place. I know I will not never see this place again, so it is alright to be leaving. It will be fun to see how it has changed when I visit every now and then. There is a lot of things that I will miss, but very few things that I will not miss. This was a good home for 13 years, but now it's time to head out.

  8. I am going to miss my friends, comfort of the community, and security. For our whole lives we have known basically everything that is coming next. Now we are venturing off on our own and making our own name for ourselves. I won't miss all of the restrictions and lack of freedom. But I will miss everything else.

  9. I am going to miss my friends, my family, and just Colfax in general. It has been a really great place to grow up, but it is becoming overfamiliar. I think I need to go somewhere new and experience new things. I'm really going to miss everyone though!

  10. There will be a lot things I'll miss. Friends will be a big thing. I know I will meet plenty of others but it will be different. It will be really different not knowing everyone. Like now, we all know everybody at school and in town. It won't be like that next year. It will also be hard to get used not being with my family all the time. I am ready to be able to get away a little more, but it will take time to get used to. It will also be nice being able to go and do stuff without my parents asking when I'll be home and what I'm doing. This is a great place to go to school and everything, but I am ready for a chance to do something new.

  11. The main thing I'm going to miss is my friends. School was great but I really hate high school with a passion. I think the prssure of college will influence me to get my homework done and to study a lot more for tests. I'm going to love the freedom of doing what I want when I want. In all I'm just ready for high school to be over.

  12. I'm going to miss knowing everyone at Colfax. If you think about it, Colfax is a pretty relaxed high school where you know everyone and everyone is friendly. I will miss everyone at Colfax, and because I have no younger siblings, probably won't be back in the high school for a long time. As ready as I am to get out of colfax, there are a lot of things (and people) I will miss.

  13. I’m definitely going to miss my friends and (some) teachers and my family. Even though I was only a student at Colfax High for three years, I know that there will be loads of people that I am going to miss. Just being around familiar faces on a day-to-day basis is going to be a little odd at first, but it is also exciting that I’ll be getting to know more people outside of the ‘bubble’ we have been living in for, basically, our whole lives. That’s one thing that I think I am going to enjoy the most: getting to experience something/somewhere new, different. Off the top of my head, one thing I’m not going to miss is the school lunches and the tiny lockers we have.

  14. i will miss my friends and family. I love my friends now and it will be hard to leave. i'm also going to have a hard time leaving sarah bear. I'm not sure how she is going to take it when i'm not there everyday. I am excited to get out of here and see other people and a new town but its home and i'll always come back

  15. I will miss my friends definately. Since I don't think I'm going to a school that is far away, I can't really say I will miss my family since I will probably see them more than my friends. The one thing I don't think I'll miss is the swearing part.
