Friday

It's the last day of the last first semester you'll ever have at Colfax High School. You are down to less than one semester of school left. What are you thoughts on that? I realize that most of you are ready to get out of here, but consider this: for many of you, you will not see your classmates ever again once you graduate. How do you feel about that? What are your thoughts on being responsible for yourself?

  1. WHOO-HOO!! I'm excited to graduate but it is also a bittersweet time too for me. I'm going to be happy to be going to college and actually taking classes I want to be in(well after my first year). I'm pretty excited for the "being on your own" type of deal too. Even though I will come back alot because I love being with my family, and Justin is here too. :) The thing I won't like is I won't beable to see my friends everyday and that's a huge bummer. I also won't see my family and I won't be able to see my animals and be in my warm, cozy house everyday. :( But everyone has to grow up so I'm ready for the challenge. :)

  2. I am SOOO excited to graduate! Especially since I know where I'm going now! I am excited to be independant because I feel like I'm already super independant and sometimes my parents annoy me because they want to do things for me and I want to do them myself. I also want to go somewhere new and travel and figure out what I want to do with my life. At the same time it's really sad that I won't see any of my friends much after we graduate. I'm sure we will do stuff this summer and everything, but we will all go our seperate ways which is just a normal part of growing up. I will never have friends that have always known me again, so I'm not worried about losing their friendship. I will probably miss my family too, but I'm annoyed with them right now, so I'm really not feeling the love. ;)The end.

  3. I'm excited. I can;'t wait to get away from everyone. Sure i'll miss a few friends but the there aren't that many in my class i hang out with anyways. I feel like i want to just get away for a while and leave all the drama from here behind. Yes it will be sad but i will see everyone again sometime in my life like at a riunion or something but as of right now i don't think i'll miss people to much. I can't wait till graduation. The quarters are passing by so fast it feels like yesturday was the first day of school.

  4. Yes I will miss veryone, but it will be very nice to meet all new people and to become indipendent. It will bs strange to not be attending a place that I have been for thirteen years. Once I am gone I can do whatever. I really would like to go on a roadtrip across the country, and see what I see and see where I end up. I hope everyone lives happy lives once we all leave and go and do great things. I will miss this place but I cant wait to go and see the world and have the oppertunity to become independent and live on my own.

  5. I am very excited to graduate! I mean i CAN"T WAIT!!! I'm am very ready for school to be done!! I'm super excited to start training for mysketball in the summer, I have a summer program to follow. I am excited to move on with my life, but recently it's been hitting me hard! Thinking about losing my best friends and friends instantly makes me tear up! Plus only getting to see my parents possibly once a month, is insane, and it probably won't hit me until i'm actually at college! It is very sad to think about, yet i am pumped to move on with my life!!

  6. I am so ready to graduate. It will be nice to be out of here and do something new. It will be nice to meet new people and sort of be able to start over. Just doing totally new things will be great. Moving down to Milwaukee will be a huge change, but I'm really excited. It will suck to leave all of our friends, but we'll see them again on breaks and everything. But it will be fun!

  7. I'm so excited to graduate!!!!!!! It'll be bittersweet, but I'm ready to get out of high school and move on with my life. I'm already in college classes, taking thirteen credits right now. I'm loving college and not knowing everybody that I walk by is amazing. I hate small towns and I'm ready to move on! (: (: (: (:

  8. Like everyone else, I have a bittersweet feeling on the whole thing. I'm mostly just excited for summer! But it will be really nice not having to come back here next fall. I am excited to graduate and move on in my life, even though I have no idea what I want to do. The thing I am most excited about college is meeting new people. That's probably not the best thing, but I am. I have gotten a taste of college this year by doing to youth option program. By the end of my senior I will have about 13 credits done and paid for, so that's a nice thought. I have already met a lot of nice people at CVTC. Its fun making new friends, but that is one thing I'll miss after we graduate...all my classmates. I have major senioritis right now and I want to be done with school, but I'm not going to wish it away because I know I have only a short amount of time left here in high school and with my friends...and Erinn :( I'm going to miss her dearly. So, I am going to try to enjoy it and pull through these next 119 days!

  9. I am ready to go. Really, I can't believe we still have half a year left. I will miss my friends a lot....:( I'm not sure if I'll miss much else. It is going to be different next year, but I think the change will be good. I really need to get out of this small town thing (not that it isn't nice.) I'm nervous about being on my own. I don't know if I'll be good at this independence thing...but I want to be, because I don't really like to rely on other people all the time.

  10. Even if I’m a senior here at Colfax high, I have one year left of school when I’m coming back to Sweden. We’re 19 when we graduate.
I haven’t really thought about what I want to do after high school. It seems so far away for me, I love to be in high school.
Most of the seniors go straight to college here, in Sweden most of the seniors take a year of from school to work or just relax. I think I’m going to do that to, take a year to work, get some money and then travel somewhere. When I’m really sure about what I want to do with my life, then it’s time for me to go on to college.
But I bet on that it’s so nice for the seniors to start their countdown to graduation!

  11. YES GRADUATION YES! :) I am ready to graduate! I wish that these 4 months would be added onto our summer vacation. I want just a ton of time to spend with my friends and have fun without having to do homework!!! But yes overall, ready to go, but not ready to leave my friends... :)I think though I am just scared of the unknown, if i knew that my life would work out and I would have a good life, then woohoo, lets move on. I too would think about taking the European approach and taking a year or so off before school, and travelling or doing something wonderful!

  12. Yup, definitely ready to be outta here. I'm ready to take on the responsibilities. I love them. I also think that if I don't see some of my classmates ever again, we weren't friends to begin with I guess. I don't look at it as a loss. After graduating, I will begin to see who my true friends are - depending on who I will keep in contact with. I'm pretty sure I already know who those people will be, already. I'm just dragging along with the days until graduation. It can't come fast enough.

  13. It is 1 p.m. on Sunday. I'm figuring quarter/semester grades. If you haven't posted yet this week, don't bother. I've already taken count of who has/hasn't posted. -Mrs. Myers

  14. I am very excited to start somewhere new. I want to meet new people. I know I will miss a good amount of people, but it is just a part of life. I really enjoyed high school, but I believe college will bring a fun atomposhere that I will like.

  15. I'm so excited that it's the last semester. I cannot wait to have no worries about homework, scholarships, dance or anything else. Everyday I get more and more excited to graduate. Except now I have to decide which school I'm going to, which will not be fun.
