10-31 BOO!
It's Halloween - my favorite holiday. What is your favorite holiday and why? For me, I love Halloween because of the candy. What other holiday do you get to dress up as whatever you want and then extort candy from people so that you won't play a trick on them?! It's the best holiday ever.

My favorite holiday is Christmas! I enjoy everything about Christmas. I love giving and getting present, drinking hot chocolate on a cold December afternoon, decorating, going to pleasant valley to get our tree, building snowmen, and so much more. I love the smells of Christmas: peppermint, pine tree, hot chocolate, etc. Most of all I love snow days when you can curl up in a blanket with some hot chocolate and watch movies all day because you have nothing better to do!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because it is centered around food. It is the best food though, and there are always pies. It is an excuse to get together with your entire family. I really love spending time with my family, especially the family members I don't get to see as often as I'd like. The food is always excellent too because usually grandmas end up helping with the cooking, and grandmas are always great at cooking.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite hoilday is Halloween! I love acting like a fool with my friends on this evening. I love to go trick or treating and getting free candy for just walking around town! It is a great feeling. Dressing up is most of the fun though. Some people get very creative and I love it. Especially the kids, they are so adorable when they parade around all dressed up. It is just a holiday for fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is thanksgiving. We get lots of really good food like turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, and cranberry sauce. I also get to take two days off of school for hunting, and we get a three day thanksgiving break. Hunting is the best part of the break.
ReplyDeleteI do not like Halloween because I scare easily. My favorite holiday is Easter. I like Easter because of the thrill of finding my easter basket, yes my parents still hide my easter basket! Easter is awesome and my family gets together and we eat a lot of food. Any holiday where you can eat tons of food is amazing! I LOVE EASTER!!!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite holiday is Christmas. I am def one of those obnoxious Christmas people who get hyped up for it in like August. I can not wait for Christmas music to be played on the radio!! And Christmas movies are amazing and I love them. We put up decorations the Saturday after thanksgiving and I can not wait. I love putting up the tree while drinking hot chocolate and listening to old christmas music. Oh my gosh I am so excited for CHRISTMAS!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite 'holiday' is the day after Thanksgiving aka BLACK FIRDAY! I understand that it is not an official 'Holiday' but in my whole family, Black Friday is a Holiday. At my family’s thanksgiving dinner, after all the yummy food is eaten, we all gather around and start the planning process. We don't sleep at all that night. We all split up to different stores and get items for each other. Sometimes we have to wait in line outside, or in cereal isles. The longest I have stood in line was 5 hours, and that was for laptop. My favorite is the DVD area, there are always a ton of people around a small area and we all push and shove around. After shopping, we all go out to eat as a family. I love Black Friday, and I cannot wait! :)
ReplyDeleteI like Christmas and Thanksgiving. I like Christmas because I get to see my family. I do not get to see them very often because they do not live around here and are always busy. I love Christmas food, especially cookies and taco dip! They are my favorite. I enjoy the laughs and good time we have together. I enjoy Christmas even more when there is a lot of snow on the ground! I like Thanksgiving because again with the family, but I love Fall too. When we celebrate in the fall it makes me really happy and I enjoy the great food. Also, I absolutely LOVE Black Friday!!! I go with my cousin Allie, my aunt Lori, my aunt Julie(we call her aunt JuJu), my cousin's friend Chelsey and sometimes other people who like to join us. We get up soo early and stand in line at Target, that is always the first place. I like all holidays but those two would have to be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Save the Rhino day by far. It always comes on May 1. Rhinos are such studs because they have been around for over one million years. Every year since I was 2 I have had a party on Save the Rhino day. We rave and worship the Rhino. Its pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holidays are Valentines Day and Halloween. My birthday is two days after Valentines Day plus my brother, sister, grandma, and mom are all within the same week as mine. I love this time of the year because birthday week is exciting for the whole family with lots of cake and ice cream. Halloween is also my favorite because I love the horror in it. I love going to haunted house and trails. I love the scariness to the holdiay and how everyone can be someone they are not for a day.
ReplyDeleteI do not like halloween that much beacuse I do not like scary things. I get scared way to easily. My favorite holiday is New Years! That might have something to do with the fact that my birthday is new years day. I get presents and stay up all night hanging with family and friends waiting for the new year to begin. The thought of a new year means starting fresh and thinking of a new years resolution. Also, wondering how long you can stick with it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Christmas. My mom, sister, and I make candy and cookies on Christmas Eve. That is when we usually celebrate too. I love waking up Christmas morning, especially when it is freshly snowing. We usually go to my Aunt's house for brunch. She is an AMAZING cook! Then we head home and just relax. I really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday would have to be the fourth of July. I like the celebration, the fire works, and the fact that it is still summer vacation. The fourth of July this year was especially fun, and when I think about it, it is almost always fun.
ReplyDeleteI love the Christmas/ New Year's celebration combo. I gorge on cookies and other fantastic foods at Christmas and get to see a lot of family members who live far away. I also enjoy coming up with funny presents for my friends. This year, I'll be mailing a lot of my gifts, and I'm really excited to wrap them up and get some lovely christmasy postage. After the excessive food and materialism of Christmas, which, admittedly, is fun, it's nice to have New Year's to cleanse and make resolutions.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday has to be Thanksgiving. It always falls during gun season which makes it amazing. Also, the Packers usually play on Thanksgiving so that also really helps. Save a Rhino day? That is so legit!! Brick Squad, you blow my mind.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't really have a favorite holiday. They are all just another day to me. Another reason to spend money, most likely. For example, Halloween candy, Christmas presents, Valentines Day roses, fireworks for the 4th of July. It's stupid and I really couldn't careless about celebrating any of them.
