Your research papers are due by 4 p.m. today. Reflect on your writing process. What difficulties did you have? What did you find easy? Did you enjoy your topic? Did you learn anything new? What questions do you have?
I did my research paper on the witch craze. I had fun learning about the witch trials in England. I found it difficult to make five pages, there is only so much information on the witch trials and I struggled trying to figure out what else to add to my paper. I found it easy to find the information though. I had fun doing this research paper, for some reason I love doing them.
ReplyDeleteI did my research pap on the witch craze. It was easy for me to do this topic because once I got some information, I was very interested and just wanted to keep finding more. It was a little difficult finding NEW information because a lot of the sources I looked at had the same kind of topics and were just worded differently. Overall, I did not think it was a hard paper to write. I like having to think about what would sound good and then putting it all together.
ReplyDeleteMy research paper involved me looking up all sorts of crazy information about witches. I wrote my paper on the Medieval witch craze. I had a difficulty with the stress. Knowing I had to research and write a 5 to 7 page essay really made me want to rip my hair out. Finding the sources and just simplely getting started was stressful, but once I got started with finding the information, it was pretty easy. Writing it was a bit easy as well. I learned many things about witches, it is rather interesting really. I like doing research papers actually, I prefer to write about a topic I pick out but this went well I think and I hope to get a decent grade!!!
ReplyDeleteI did not like this topic at all! It was difficult because we knew barely anything about the Middle Ages. I did not find much difficulty in writing the paper itself. I like writing research papers. The part I found difficult was actually doing the research. Finding information was kind of hard. Overall, I liked writing the paper but not the topics.
ReplyDeleteI do not like research projects. I would rather do three book reviews instead of one research paper. I dont mind the research part so much its the putting it all together in a way that makes sense in so little time that kills me. I enjoyed my topic and was already familiar with it and that made it a little easier. I can not wait to be done with these projects and focus more on literature again.
ReplyDeleteI picked my topic, Pope Innocent III and The Great Schism, thinking I would find a lot of information. But I could not! I found a lot of the same information over and over again. It was also extremely hard finding information that contained both Innocent and The Great Schism. Because I did not find a lot of information, my paper is short.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was going to have a really easy topic to find information on, but it was actually harder than I expected. The finding information isn't too bad, but I really dont like actually writing the paper. Putting words down on paper in a way that makes sense isn't always the easiest for me to do. I learned some interesting information about how the Bible was brought into print.
ReplyDeleteI did not do good on my research paper. I have been working on it a lot and sending it to my sister to help me. My moms even been mad at me because I have been crabby with her because she tries to talk to me while I'm working on it so I get annoyed. I learned a lot about Attila the Hun because I didn't know who he really was until I started researching. A lot of the information I found said the same things so it was hard to write a 5 page paper that sounded good. I hope I do okay on it. I have been frustrated with it for awhile now so it feels good to have it turned in. Now i just hope I get a good grade.
ReplyDeleteI did not dislike doing research papers but I do think that having a deadline list is helpful. When I know I have to have something done by a certain time it helps me to plan out my time a little easier. I did not like how much time I had to put into it though. I felt like I had to ramble on a little bit at times because I did not know how I was going to get five pages. The only thing that I am worried about now is that I cited everything correctly and I get a good grade.
ReplyDeleteI thought that our topic choices were very interesting, and the general theme of "the Medieval period" is so broad that there was basically something of interest to everybody. I would have liked to have a little bit more background knowledge on this time period before I began writing. I felt like I put a lot more effort into this assignment than I had with my past research papers. I hope that it pays off! I also liked having deadlines for specific parts of the paper. The guides for formatting and proofreading checklists were also helpful-thank you!
ReplyDeleteI did not think that my paper was all that bad. Unfortunately, it was not very easy finding information at first, and I had a lot of bad luck with badgerlink. I guess there was more information on my topic in Spanish then in English. There was a lot of repetition in the information I found, but with enough picking around, I was able to find even a little more information then I needed to write my research paper.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think the research papers were too bad for our first one. The topics were interesting and easy to write about. I am learning now to mange my time and not forget to do things because thats just bad news. I am nervous for a research paper that is on a topic that I do not know much about and do not find interesting because these topics were easy to write a lot about. One paper down!
ReplyDeleteI actually really enjoyed writing this paper. In the past, I haven't been a huge fan of writing research papers, but this time I found it a lot easier to like. My topic turned out to be extremely interesting to me, which I didn't anticipate that this would be the case. The only thing that really bothered me about the whole experience was my laptop malfunctioning. It made things a lot more difficult for me, because I was unable to work on the paper at home. Hopefully, though, this will not be the case when it comes time to write the next research paper.
ReplyDeleteThe difficulty I had was organizing my information. One of things I wish I would have done better from the start was organize the information I gathered that I put on my notecards better. I found it generally easy to write about with my information. The hardest part was just getting started. I did enjoy my topic and I learned some new things. By having such a time crunch on this research paper it taught me some things to do differently for the next one. I know that I have to organize my information a lot better and know one can never have to much information.
ReplyDeleteI would much rather write research papers than read books. I thought it was very easy to write my paper. I really did not have any troubles writing it that I can think of. I also learned many new things from writing my paper and my topic had a lot of information on it that was easy to write about.
