With the Academy Awards on Sunday, let's discuss movies. Do you like to go to the movies or would you rather watch movies at home? What's the last movie you saw in a theater? Do you have any special theater food that you have to get when you watch movies? Do you remember what movie was the first movie you ever saw in a theater? Are you going to watch the Academy Awards?

I'm not a huge fan of going to see movies in the theater. I'd much rather watch them at home where you can do what you want and make your own food. Plus it is so much cheaper to just rent the movie for home. I think the last movie I saw in theaters was the last Lord of the Rings with my mom and sister, we saw all of them in the theater. I know that my first theater movie was 101 Dolmations, but I do not really remember it. I will most likely not watch the Acadamy Awards because I will just be getting back from Duluth and will have homework to do.
ReplyDeleteI prefer watching movies at home. Especially since we don't have a theater nearby, I like to do something more exciting than sitting and staring at a screen when I go out with friends or family. Plus, at home I can relax in front of the fire on a couch with my favorite foods instead of having to sit and eat only popcorn or candy. I prefer watching movies in the winter when it's warm and cozy inside. I'd rather be out doing something else in the summer. Unless I'm sick, I will only watch movies after dark. The last movie I saw in a theater was Harry Potter 7.2. I do not remember the first movie I saw in a theater, but I do remember being scared so much by Hades in "Hercules" that we had to leave. I probably won't watch the Academy Awards, because I am not sure that we get the broadcast on our single television channel. Plus, I'm not that interested.
ReplyDeleteI like going to the movies with Garrick mostly. A lot of the times we go to the redbox to save some money and so it is more relaxing. We like to go to movies when we really want to see a movie that just came out. The last one we went to see was Red Tails. That movie was really good. I like to have popcorn at the theater because movie theater popcorn is the best. I do not remember my first movie ever in the theater because I have been to a lot. I probably will not watch the Academy Awards because I do not really care and could probably find something better to do.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy going out to a movie theatre with my friends, a date, or my family. It is a great time to get out of the house and spend some time with the people you enjoy a lot. I love watching movies at my homestead as well, but that is more of a lazy and relaxing time. Going out to the movies, to me, is a more of a day to spend out of the house kind of thing. The last movie I saw in theatres was Chronicle with car loads of friends. It was an intense movie. When I go out to the movies, I always get a snack and a drink most of the time. My favorite movie theatre food is pretzel with cheese, if not that nachos! If they have neither of those I go for the always yummy popcorn! I believe the first movie I ever saw in theatres is when I was really young and my family and I went to see Tarzan. I remember my mom and I really enjoyed it together, this is when I was like 5 or so. And no I doubt I will watch the Academy Rewards. I am not much of a television person.
ReplyDeleteOnly if I know a movie is going to be really good will I go to see it in the theater. I do prefer watching movies at home though, because then you can also enjoy the comforts of your home and eat any food that you want without paying a fortune. I hate buying food at the theater, so I don't have any favorite kind. I cannot remember the first movie I saw in theater, but the last movie I saw in theater was War Horse. I will not watch the Academy Awards.
ReplyDeleteI like to watch movies at home. Then I can cuddle up with a blanket and lay on the couch which is way better than sitting in those uncomfortable theater seats. The last movie I went to in theaters was Star Wars 3D. I do not have a specific theater food that I get. I usually dont get food at all. I think the first movie I went to see in theaters was Spy Kids. Mom and dad said I was really excited and they had to take me. I dont remember it though. I do not plan on watching the Acadamy Awards, unless there is nothing else on then I might.
ReplyDeleteEvery once and a while I like to go to the movies. I usually just watch them at home with my family or my friends. If I get really bored and want to go do something we will go see a movie. The last movie I saw in theaters was DolphinTale. It was a really good movie but I love dolphins so that might play a part.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing movies in theaters if it is somethig I really want to see. I'd rather go to daytime movies so it's a lot cheaper, but if someone else is paying for me I'd go to them all the time. The last two movies I seen in theaters was The Vow and Chronical. I do not remember the first movie I ever seen in theaters, acutally, I believe it was Fantastic 4. I probably will not watch the Awards thing because I don't really watch television that much.
ReplyDeleteI remember my first movie like it was yesturesy, it was Spirit. It was about a horse and I remember I cried becucase the mama horse got taken away. I like to go the theaters to see movies with friends, but renting it though Red box or Kyles is best sometimes. When I do go the theaters, there is always a stop made,wether it be a gas station or a dollar store, to pick up candy/pop/chips to sneak in ;)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy going to the movie theaters once and a while, but watching movies at home is relaxing too. The last movie I went to was "The Vow". I don't NEED popcorn every time I go to a movie, but I do enjoy it! I don't remember the first movie I saw in the theaters though. I more than likely will probably not watch the Academy Awards.
ReplyDeleteI actually like watching movies both ways. They are fun to see in theaters, and I have been doing that more lately, but I also like watching them in my home theater. The last movie I was in theaters was Journey 2. It was actually really good! I can't wait to see Act of Valor though. My dad and I are going to go see it together. I almost always have popcorn while I am watching a movie, either at home or in theaters. I do not remember what the first movie I saw in theaters was, and I probably won't watch the Academy Awards.
ReplyDeleteI do like to go to the movie theater; however, I very rarely go to the movies. Although I do not watch movies that often at all. That also means that I have no particular movie theater food. Watching movies at home is an awful lot cheaper. I believe that the first movie I saw was Tarzan.I am quite certain that I will no watch the Academy Awards. Glad you liked my blog yesterday!
ReplyDeleteWell first of all I don't know what the academy awards are. Second of all even if I did know I would NEVER have the time to watch it. I don't really watch movies either just work :) when I lived in Chippewa I went occationally but now I just don't have the time. The last movie I saw was the hangover. I was in California when that came out. Some of there Theaters are way different than ones around here. I dont remember the first movie I watched let alone what I did last night. I have to leave for the cities soon. It will be a good drive I had such a bad day, driving for a few hours will be good. Well I suppose I should pay attention to the road :)
ReplyDeleteI love going to the movies! Although, Tom and I tend to go to them much too often. I believe the last one we saw was Star Wars 3D. I thought it was awesome. Generally, I HATE 3D movies because they give me a huge headache. However, this one was much different. They must have came out with new 3D technology because it was impeccable. I did not get a headache at all. It depends on my mood, but usually I would much rather see a movie in theaters because of the excitement that comes with seeing a movie on the "big screen" :-)
ReplyDeleteI kind of like going to the movies. It depends on the situation. Lindsay and I went yo see The Vow and it was actually pretty good! I liked it. Normally I don't eat at the theaters but if I do, I love the cookie dough bites!
