I remember a few years ago we were going up north to upper Minnesota by lake superior. We were going to borrow my grandpas really old rv that he had. We were on our way driving and then one of the tires blew on the rv.. we were stranded on the side of the road for a long time when my dad decided to just drive on the tire until we found a shop to fix it. We got to the shop, and had to sit there while they fixed the tire. That wasn't all that bad except for the fact that the people in the shop were extremely creepy. The tire got fixed and we continued to drive on. That vacation started off really bad but ended up turning into a good one because it was so pretty where we were!
One of my favorite vacations would be the road trip may family went on to Colorado last summer. We went through many different states and saw some really cool things. Probably the most memorable part was the amusement park that we went to that was on top of a huge hill. You had to ride a gondola to get up there and there were several fun things to do while you were there. I really enjoyed the bungee jumping.
I'd say that my favorite vacation was going up to Lake Superior. We took a boat ride to a lot of islands. I think that it was my favorite because I was pretty little and the things I saw were pretty cool. Also the stories the tour guide told about the islands made them seam special, well at least for me. Another reason I liked it so much was because of the ice cream. We stopped and got some almost everyday.
The best vacation I have ever taken was probably last summer when my sister Brittni took my brother and I, along with some of her friends to New York. We went there to watch the Yankees play because in our family sports are basically our entire lives. Seeing Yankee stadium was honestly breath taking for me, everywhere I looked I saw something with a yankee sign on it. In Wisconsin all I see is Twin stuff! After one of the games we went out by the exit and saw some of the players drive home in their cars. Luckily, my favorite player, A-Rod,drove out with his window down so I was standing about 15 ft from him. I tried to take a picture of him but I was shaking so bad from excitement that I missed! One funny experience at New York was riding on the subways when Michael wasn't ready for it to start so he fell onto a guy. Michael was really nice about it and apologized, but the man just gave him an evil death glare. I was terrifired. So word of advice if anyone goes to New York and is riding the subway, HANG ON!!
For sure the best vacation I;ve ever been on was this sumer when my family went to Florida for a week in the begining of July. Being able to watch fireworks over the ocean is amazing! We went on a air boat through the Everglades and I got to hold a baby Crocodiel. By far my favorite part was being able to go parasailing with my brothers and dad. I had an amazing time.
That's a tough one! I would say the best vacation i have ever been on was to Chicago. I went with my dad, his wife Julie, and my four sisters. I just loved the atmosphere. Everything about it! The lights, the music, the people! It was an amazing experience, down to the homeless people on every street corner.
i think that the best vacation i went on was when i went to florida when i was in fifth grade. i remember going to disney world and universal studio amusement park. i liked those places a lot but the best place we visited was the kennedy space center. when i was little i loved the thought of space and other planets.
The best vacation I have had was this summer when my family and I went to Chicago for a week. What made the trip so awesome was that we got to go to all the museums and look through the exhibits. The best place that we went too was the Second City comedy club. It was a great improv show and it was cool to see where a lot of the Saturday Night Live actors got their start. And the other great show was the Blue Man Group. It's a great performance with awesome music and cool light shows. Afterwards I got to meet one of the performers and have a picture taken with him, thus ending my most favorite vacation.
My favorite vacation was last summer. I went to family night at Lambeau field. I went with Brandon and his family. We left early in the morning and got back late that night. We had box seats in the air conditioning so that was nice. We went to Mt. Olympus and that was fun too.
One of my best vacations was this summer. My family and I went to Canada to go fishing. We also took Dillon and Keinn with us because we had two extra spots. We went fishing everyday and Dillon even caught a trophy bass. We also went out exploring in the woods and sasquatch hunting. It was a very interesting trip, but it was also had alot of fun.
This past summer, i took a really fun trip to New York City. We stayed in a hotel near times square and we spent some time with Erinn Springer. She showed us some of her favorite places and we had lots of fun eating at interesting restaurants. I really enjoyed seeing NBC studios and The Met. My favorite parts of the trip were riding the subway and seeing two Broadway shows.
The worst vacation I have ever taken was our family roadtrip to New Orleans/Texas for Christmas two years ago. We brought my nephew Dogger with us, and he threw up all over the van before we had even gotten out of Wisconsin. It took us 3 hours to clean the van out in the freezing cold! The worst part is that the van still smelled like puke until we made it back home to Colfax a week later.
A couple of summers ago my family and I went to Chicago. We had a great time walking around, eating, and visiting museums. However, I was completely disheartened after I could not find a man of the street selling fake Rolexes from the inside of his overcoat.
The best vacation I ever took was a few years ago, when my family and I went camping. We spent alot of time fishing. Even more time trying to lern to row the boat, we just kept going in circles. We also got to go explore the woods all around and that was fun, too. It was the best place to camp because there were no other people around us.
The blog at school wasn't working fourth hour. Which is why I am posting this now. Anyway! My favorite vacation definitely happened this summer. It was the longest vacation I have ever taken and it was definitely the most fun. I went to North Dakota with my dad and brother. We spent all of our time with friends and the best part was going to a high school football game out there and experiencing something much different than what our school does. Another interesting part was definitely learning more about "Boom-town", ND. Call me crazy, but I was really fascinated by seeing the oil rigs and everything that has to do with them! That vacation was unforgettable. :)
My favorite vacation took place when I was in 6th grade. My family and I went to Jamaica. I hung out with my cousin Kayla the whole time, and we had a blast. All of the food was free, and I can remember all of us cousins just pigging out on all of the ice cream. The beach there was beautiful. We saw colorful fish and a stingray. I will never forget that trip.
The best vacation i have been on took place in sixth grade. My family and I went to visit my aunt and uncle in Sydney, Australia over Christmas. Sadly, one of the most memorable parts of the trip was the trip itself which consisted of eighteen hours of flying and about a day stuck in layovers. It will be forever engrained in my mind walking on the sandy ocean beaches in early January and wondering why on earth we live in Wisconsin.
Well, I cannot think of any amazing ones, but last year on Labor Day we went up north by Webster to see my aunt and uncle that moved back here from Spain. My uncle Gordie is in the Navy and they travel a lot. He grew up in Mississippi and they live there now. At their home, they have a sailboat. So when we all went to the cabin last year and they bought a cheap sailboat to ride on the lake. Uncle Gordie gave me a ride on it! It was so fun and we went so fast! I guess it wasn't the best story but I will remember it forever!
I don't really know if this is considered a vacation, but I'll consider it one. This summer I went to see friends at a camp and a reunion all in the same week. I spent 4 days in Madison at Edgewood College and saw some of my best freinds for the last time ever. Some I hope to see in the future, but doubt I will for most. The next 3 days I spent in Milwaukee at Marquette campus. I got to once again see a bunch of old, very close friends. It was a once in a lifetime kind of week and I'm looking forward to seeing some of them again randomly if I'm ever at anything that gathers schools for the whole state!
My favorite vacation would have to be going to Colorado with my family and some friends of ours. We spent a week in Estes Park, which is right outside of the Rocky Mountian National park, and went into the park a couple times and just walked around the lakes, mountians and streams. At night the elk would come into the town and there would be huge herds of them just walking across the road or in someones yard. the drive out there and back was long but it was definatly worth it!
The greatest vacation that I have taken was with my family to Cozumel. In February of 4th grade we flew there. For a week I got to lay in the sand, swim, and soak up the sunshine. I loved the warm weather and the tropical feel of everything. A lot of time was spent snorkeling and just seeing all of the fish with the brilliant colors was amazing!
I'm not sure if it was the best or worse, but it was unique. Last summer, my aunt and I drove all the way to Colorado and back over a weekend. This is the most memorable for me because even though we were only in Denver for six hours, it was the first time I'd seen my mom in two years and finally met my baby sister.
