You are going on a picnic with friends. Who are you taking? Where are you going? What are you going to eat? Write a short story (it definitely can be fictional) in which you are going or are on a picnic.
Azia, Justin, Devon, and I all got together and went for a picnic at the Elk Mound Lion's Park in Elk Mound. I had packed a nice little lunch for us containing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, applesauce, bananas, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. After lunch, we went and played on the playground for a while. Azia and I swung on the swings while Justin and Devon pushed us. Soon after, we played tag and ran around the whole park. Then, we went back to Azia's house and watched movies all night. Justin and Devon went to Justin's house and I spent the night at Azia's.
(It's the best I could come up with in a few minutes.) (:
Jamie, Jenni, and Austin were at my house (back in the good ole' days). We packed a basket full of food. We walked down my road to a place near the woods, under a tree. We enjoyed eating pudding (except me), jell-o, chips, and probably some other stuff. We took a picture, and it's hilarious. We're all in our PJs and pretending to take a HUGE bite out of our food. Oh, and I beleive ants were bothering us. But other than that, it was fun. I miss those times. A lot.
Theresa, Morgan, Lacey, Emma, Travis, and I went on a picnic at Hoffman Hills for Lacey's birthday. We had sandwiches, fruit, chips, and a Dairy Queen ice cream cake to eat. The cake is what made the picnic so memorable and of course Lacey's face when she saw it. As you all probably know, DQ will personalize the cake for you, so we had written on Lacey's "I hope you die on your birthday."(Inside joke). Lacey's face was hysterical. It was definitely a Kodake moment. When we asked the lady at DQ to write that on her cake the lady was like "Are you serious?" haha. Good times. We also took pictures and went for a walk. The End.
Erinn, Ellie, and I are going on a picnic. We are going to the middle of a golden field at the top of a hill. We will sit on a comfy picnic blanket and wear pretty tea-party dresses. There will also be a big bunch of red balloons just because whenever I think of a field I think of red balloons. We will eat cake and drink sparkling pomegranate juice.
I'm going on a picnic with Abby and Brit. We are lurking through the wilderness in pointy-toed boots, summer dresses, and headscarves. We crawl through a swamp and climb to the top of a plum tree. From here we can see the entire world. Brit unwraps her headscarf and reveals butternut squash and cornbread. I unwrap mine and reveal carrot sticks and applesauce. Abby unwraps hers and reveals licorice and a baby. (We do not eat the baby.) We munch on our snacks and feed the baby mashed up plums. We fall asleep in the tree and awaken to a light rain, which turns into hail, which turns into snow. But we stay in the tree forever, and watch the seasons pass, until we have all turned to stone. The end.
It is Sunday and there are 5 rainbows in the sky. Even though it is noon, the stars and crescent moon are still visible. Christina, Sierra, Ellie, Kayla and I are walking through the forest until we meet a clearing with only orange poppies and babies- breath. Kayla just made fresh blueberry muffins and is carrying them in a woven basket hanging around her elbow. The view is beautiful overlooking the mountains. Nearby there is a rocky river with fresh clear water and a swimming area with a rope swing. We sit and enjoy each other’s company in the middle of the field surrounded by mountains and gaze at the sparkling stars that fill the sky.
My story is more of a camping trip but we did have a picnic so here it is!
When I was younger, my cousin Nikki, my sisters Britt and Jess, and I went on a picnic in our backyard. We set up the tent and ate our picnic lunch which consisted of ham sandwhiches, cookies, chips, and fruit. We played outside all night after that. Then late that night it started to lightning. It was heat lightning and was absolutley beautiful. It was a purplish color and flickered above us. We started to take the tent down and it started pouring on us! So we ripped the tent down quick and set it up in our garage. We realize now that we could have just went in the house, but camping in the garage was more memorable. :)
Oh i got this. It would be me, my sister, and kenzie anderson. We'd go the dairy qeen to get some ice cream for this picnic first though. We'd end up eating an amazing salad made by the one and only me. Mom(Kim Anderson) would end up paking us some chips, pop, and other little snacks oh and her amazing cookies. I think we'd most likely just got to the back of my house by the river and sit on a blanket and jam to some music and go swimming with my puppy and Sasha(kenzie's dog)I would like to point out this actually happened and it was the funnest picnic ever!! :D
Me and Ryan Larson are going on a picnic along the Mississippi River with our dogs, so they can run around and dive into the water every three seconds. We are going to invite Darth Vader as well as The Joker, Yoda, and the knight from Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade. We are packing all sorts of food that everyone will enjoy, but i'm afraid Ryan is going to eat ALL the peanut butter sandwiches and chocolate muffins. Later we have planned to go tubing, however Darth probably will have to drive the boat, otherwise he is going to short sircuit. We are hoping the weather is fair, because I hear that Obi-Wan has teamed up with Harvey Dent,Optimus Prime and Dean Martin and want to challenge us to a volleyball match. Either way we are going to have a wonderful time, sharing stories and watching the river flow by as we enjoy a wonderful picnic
Shoes had been left behind near an old oak tree, and our feet were now in the river. We – Kyler, Jon, Kayla, and I – had decided to have a little picnic over by the river. We simply sat there, talking amongst ourselves and eating our food, still a little exhausted from walking through the woods. The idea of having a picnic had been something that had been thought up at the last minute. What all we had for food choices clearly showed that our picnic was definitely a spur of the moment thing.
Our basket had been jam-packed with all sorts of goodies. Before we had left, each of us went hunting for food in Kyler’s house for anything that we could take with us. What had ended up in the basket was a package of Oreo cookies (those we had already dug into during our walk), Spongebob Squarepants fruit snacks, and a couple sandwiches. In addition, there were also several cans of Mountain Dew stored away in there. After a few minutes, everything was gone. We were terrific magicians when it came to making food disappear.
And then we heard some bizarre noise come from the other side of the river. No matter how much we argued over what had caused such a noise, we came up with only one conclusion if we wanted an answer: we had to swim across the river.
We never did cross the river. But we did go swimming in it after Jon and I pushed the girls in the cool water. It was definitely a priceless moment seeing their faces when their heads came back up from beneath the water. Kyler and Kayla did get their revenge, though. They had managed to pull the both of us into the water with them while we were busy laughing our heads off. This, of course, meant war! And that strange noise from before had been forgotten. It was as if no one had heard it at all...
Summer picnics at the cabin are reserved for a special place called Monkey Island. I don't remember the exact details on the naming of the island, but I do know it has something to do with the tall trees that occupy it. The cabin is owned by family friends, the Cervenka's. After eating a breakfast that makes you want to go right back to sleep, we all head down to the lake. The kids and the dads hurry to get the boat ready while the moms seem to take their time with the making of the food. Sandwiches, grapes, and other healthy things occupy the picnic basket (but we always smuggle skittles and twizzlers along). After what seems like hours, we finally head out on the lake and make our way toward Monkey Island.
This summer I have tried arranging at least 3 picnics, all of which were complete fails. I would have gone one time with Carly and Austin, but both of them completely forgot about our plans and bailed on me! Then another time I arranged for a few people to go, but that didn't workout. Sadly, I never got an oportunity to enjoy a picnic this summer! If I would've had a picnic it would have consisted a few of my friends like Mikayla, Corey, Noah, Tyler, and Brianne. Of course I would have made cupcakes for the occation and possibly something like ramen and/or go-gurt, chips, sandwiches and juice boxes(gotta have the unhealthy random snacks). We would then venture off to a place like Hoffman Hills, and set up a blanket and feast! Ahh I love picnics, and I am sad I never got to this summer. Even if i go by myself I am going to have multiple picnics next summer!! :)
Me and two friends from Menomonie, Brandon and Nathan went to Wakanda park. It started off with eating some turkey sandwiches with that we got from Nathan's house. We had apples, chips, and cookies too. After we were done eating, we went frisbee golfing. It was a really nice day so when we got down by the lake we went in a little bit. Then we finished up the round and walked down to Mcdonald's, got ice cream and went back to the park. We played a few more holes because we were bored and then went to Nathan's house because his house is right on the course. So we hung out for the rest of the day there.
One day I decided that i would go on a picnic all by myself. I enjoyed my nice relaxing time at Hoffman Hills. As time went on, I got lonely and figured out I do not have any friends. Then I went home and ate some of mom's bars and felt all better!
