I thought I saw him
ReplyDeleteHis blond hair
His cute smile
His blue eyes
But again it was only a dream
I thought I saw him
But still he’s gone
The only thing I can do is pray to God
That I will see him again

I thought I saw what you were
ReplyDeleteBut now I see someone new
Someone who cares
Someone who listens
Someone I want a part of my life
I never thought I would see this part of you
I thought you were like the rest
Everyone saw but me
Now I think I want to see the real you
I thought I saw something real
ReplyDeleteThis felt real at the time
now I am left with much to ponder
left me in a world of wonder
what I felt I feel no more,
It wasn't even real at all
So why am I left with a hole of pain?
It's going to be hard to feel that real once more,
i'm afraid to fall again.

I though I saw a flash of light
ReplyDeleteone as quick as lightning
The rain was heavy and damp
Nothing could contain this torrent
The world seemed empty and cold
Though the headlights go flying past
Its a cold and windy night
The trees face great catastrophe
I am safe inside my sanctuary
Its bitter cold but far from scary
I thought I saw myself
ReplyDeletebut it was only my reflection.
You thought you saw me too,
and I thought I could believe
but the reflection is deception
and my shroud has been acheived.
The shroud of solitude, too
hard to comprehend
too hard to try to break through
too hard to try to end.
I thought I saw myself
but it was only my reflection.
Myself is so much deeper,
beneath layers of regression.
I thought I saw you too,
but now I know I saw your shell
Your shell lies in a heaven,
while yourself lies in a hell.
I thought I saw a little boy
ReplyDeletewith blonde hair and blue eyes;
so innocent and young.
I thought I saw a boy
playing basketball wearing a mohawk.
I thought I saw a teenager
who was just trying to fit in
with long dark hair, studded belts, skater shoes, and braces.
I knew this person since we first met at the campground...
When I thought I knew who this person was
until she joined the army and shaved his head.
Now he's a mature young adult
who makes my heart melt. :)
I thought I saw
ReplyDeletea flick of a tail
trailing behind
pawing at the window.
I thought I felt
a cold nose
pushing open the door
looking for a sunbeam.
I thought I heard
a soft meow
calling out for friends
and fellow cats.
I thought I saw a shadow
ReplyDeletemoving far beyond
the outer limits of the system
but now the shadow is gone.
I thought I saw my memories
on the backside
of my eye
but now the memories are fading
and will eventually die.
I thought I saw
what was truly meant to be
but now that I'm placed inside
It wasn't what I was supposed to see.
I thought I saw it,
But I was wrong
the only thing I saw
Were the lyrics escaping in a song.
