Metaphysical Poetry

Yesterday we read "Valediction: Forbidding Mourning" by John Donne. Donne is one of my favorites (yes, I know that they all are!) because he gets us thinking about those deep, philosophical issues without slamming us over the head with them. He uses metaphysical conceits and unusual rhythm/sentence patterns in most of his work. He does that especially in this poem. What did you think of it? What conceits did you notice?
